    Fun but not completely accurate

My first unit did not work so great and died after about 30 days. It was only when I got the replacement that I realized how buggy the first unit was. It shows no steps when I have been running up and down steps all day and shows I do more steps on work (desk job) than when on vacation (Disney). Little things that lead me to believe that its not really accurate. But its fun to compete with friends

Bought as a gift. Worked exactly as expected/advertised. Recipient was very happy with it. It seems to have just the right number of features without a lot of added frills. Would definitely recommend.

Buy it online. The store will not match the price. This one showed 107.99 online. The store had it for $129.99 and would only sell the black one for 109.99.

I love my FitBit. I love that I can have competitions online with my friends. I dont like that I have to charge it so often. I wish that battery life could be better, other than that, its great!

The new Charge is replacing my recalled Force and I am so glad it finally is available. I love all the features and the new phone feature. The band is a little bigger, but the clasp is better. Love it.

It does a very nice job. Sometimes I wonder about the step reader, but it is pretty accurate. I found it hard to sleep with, so I do not use that function.

FitBit is learing from their mistakes but they still need to improve. This one is a much better improvement then the first one. This will be my second one.

Works well and like the look. Was disappointed I heard the HR feature did not work correctly so I did not buy the HR feature but would have liked to.

I was excited to try out this device; however, after only four days I have encountered multiple issues. First, it's accuracy is mediocre. It seems to count steps fairly accurately, but for some reason it has an issue with the staircase in my house. It has never accurately measured the number of floors I have climbed. The other features seem to work well enough, although I question the accuracy of the calories burned counter. That being said, I understand their would be some variances in regards to accuracy, but it's the quality and design of the unit that I have issues with. First, the clasp is an interesting idea. Fitbit ditched the traditional watchband clasp and decided to use a low profile design that in theory seems reasonable. I have had the unit fall off my wrist on several occasions, mostly because of the clasp bumping up against something. It is also an exercise in flexibility to get the unit on my arm, mainly because I found that if it is on tight it has less of an opportunity to snag on something and come loose. Moving on...today I have hit what I will consider to be the dealbreaker. For some reason the unit will no longer sync with my iPhone 5S. I have rebooted, reinstalled the app, and cursed...none of which have solved the problem. I will be returning it today.

Had it for a while. The battery really runs for 2 weeks. But scared the strap might break and it will get lost.

I received this from my son for Christmas and it is super easy for this old man to use! It accurately counts my steps and distance for my walks and it "buzzes" when I get a call.

Fitbit Charge not for normal everyday activity!

On February 1st I bought a Fitbit Charge at Best Buy following reading glowing on-line reviews regarding the product. At first I was thrilled with it and sang its praises even though I found fault with the stairs counter. I basically was using it for exercise marching around counting steps. I encouraged friends to purchase one so we could have "challenges". I even ordered my husband a Fitbit ChargeHR. As the weeks have gone on I have counted on it for my daily routines other than "exercise" walking, I have become less and less enchanted with the Fitbit Charge and its features. "Everyday routine" is not being used in the same context as I believe most people would interpret it. It does not count stairs if you are carrying a sleeping child or a load of laundry up them.. It does not count steps while you are pushing a grocery cart around the store or carrying anything that requires use of the arm on which you are wearing the Fitbit. In order to measure steps, the arm with the Fitbit must be free like it is when you walk for exercise. When you climb stairs evidently your wrist must be in a particular position against your body or the stair climb is not counted. Mine currently is counting approximately 1 pair of stairs for 3 climbed empty handed and never counts the stairs if I am carrying something in my left hand ( I have mine on the non-dominant wrist). Two nights ago the Sleep recorder stopped in the middle of the night and has not recorded sleep since. I e-mailed Fitbit a few days ago prior to my problem with the sleep recorder but have not heard back from them other than an automatic e-mail. It is extremely discouraging when you climb 30 stairs and get "credit" for 10 or walk all over a grocery store and find your step count is 5 over what it was when you entered the store. I have not tried it on a treadmill yet....I am curious to find out if it will count my steps since because I find it necessary to hold on to the rails.

I hoped a Fitbit would help motivate me to move more and it has! It's easy to set up and wear and is spot-on accurate. I suggest you set your stride length, go online and enter personal information (you can make it all private) and start moving. It's fun and motivating to to connect with friends. I love my Fitbit Charge.
