    Bought for myself

I bought this for myself as a Christmas gift. I love all the features it has but the band comes apart from the hard plastic casing. I've had my watch replaced within 9 months of purchase. Now the replacement is doing the same thing. At this point it's almost not worth it to wear anymore because of the exposed inside circuits. Just wish that it was constructed better for the money I paid for it. Next time, I will be buying one that has replaceable bands and not affixed ones. Overall, it is a great watch and does everything I expected it to do and more.

My wife loves her fitbit. Keeps track of everything she wants and is durable. She likes that it sends her notifications and vibrates when she gets a text or call. It's also more accurate than some of the other fitness trackers out there.

Not impressed! activity "quack"er, not Tracker

So, my first morning of using it. my activities: Wake up, walk to bathroom, take a shower, walk back to BR, dress, make my lunch and walk to car = 1007 steps, 0.57mi, 1217 Cal, 1 stairs. (I also did an experiment and sat on the couch and pumped my arms like walking in place, and the steps increased for every arm movement. NOT HAPPY! I get that this is for tracking activity, but why would I buy this one that has calories, floors, steps, distance, etc. displayed on my phone if it drastically inaccurate?? for nearly $150?? there is no way that I'm burning 1200 calories before I get to work. And if I'm doing Yoga / Pilates / Plyometric exercise (my main form of exercise), it won't track calories burned because it's not moving For today's technology, it should be able to do more that what a simple pedometer can do. I'm probably going to return it and maybe get the mini one that only shows activity in 2000 increments in dots. Or just get something else... Not impressed... If someone wants to debunk my review and enlighten me why this is worth the money I'm paying, please convince me.

    Not for me..

I really wanted to love this but after using it only once, it's going back. If your activity is mainly step based cardio like climbing, walking or running, then this would be great for you. However, if you're like me, and a big portion of your activity is lifting, then it won't track your activity accurately. That kind of thing requires a tracker with a heart rate sensor to properly detect your level of intensity to show calories burned and whatnot. That being said, from what I've played with in the app, it is a pretty cool little tracker with a bunch of handy features. Great for the cardio lifestyle.

Worn Band in 7mos - poor value

Worn Band in 7mos - poor value I love my first generation fitbit model. I showed my parents and they both went to Best Buy and bought the fitbit charger model (they liked the time feature - no watch needed). They are both active but nothing crazy and wear it daily to get their 10,000 steps in. Truly up until recently they were postive spokes person's to their generation on the product. Not any more thou! after spending all that money they bought them in Feb and it is September - 7 months the bands worn un-usable on the wrist. Fitbit has not returned any of their inquires on warrenty or way to fix band. I feel terrible now that I recommended it to them.

I absolutely love my FitBit. It tracks all my activity accurately and easily. I especially like the large face for easier viewing of information. At the time they did not have the color I wanted, so I had to settle for blue. It looks nice enough. The phone app is great!

Simple and easy to work with! Great customer service at Fitbit. My band broke on this and they sent me a brand new Fitbit after a quick phone call. These are not made to last for a generation however if you take care of them, they will last for at least couple years!

    Falls Apart within months

I had 2 of these and both of them fell apart within a matter of months. First one lasted about 3 months before the band started bubbling and breaking apart from the display. Luckily, I was able to return it at the store for a new one. However, the 2nd on did the same thing within 4 weeks. At the first hint of a bubble in the band I took it back and got a smartwatch. I still wish I had a fitbit because they are the best at tracking, but the quality has made me not trust them any more.

    Great New Changes!

Bought this to update the Force that I got last Christmas and had to return when the glue on the band let go! This one is very similar but instead of being smooth it has a nice comfortable texture to it. All the normal FitBit stats are tracked and the software brings it to life so you can track everything in your life! The addition of call notifications adds great versatility to the Charge as well! A great new member of the FitBit collection! Worth the upgrade!

    Waste of money

My husband bought the Fitbit Charge for me for Christmas. It had everything I wanted and I loved it...until it kept on falling off. I called Customer Service and they immediately sent me a new one which does the same thing. The design of the Fitbit Charge wristband is faulty. It attaches to your wrist via metal tabs that click into place in the holes in the strap. However, at the slightest touch, it can fall off. My first Fitbit fell off while packing a suitcase and then again when unpacking it. The replacement Fitbit fell off while I was doing a push up! Customer Service offered me a replacement Fitbit or a 25% discount towards the purchase of another model. I do not want another Fitbit with the same clasp design as the ones I have and neither do I want to spend a $100 or more to get the Charge HR which has a buckle and seemingly will keep your Fitbit on your wrist. Do not waste your money buying a Fitbit Charge. I have read reviews where people have lost them or almost did just by putting their hand with a Fitbit in their pocket! I like everything else about this tracker but the wristband design does not give me peace of mind. The Fitbit Charge as it is now is a waste of money!!!!! Go buy something else that will stay on your wrist and not fall off at the slightest touch!!!!!

I'm sure in the future it'll be better but this model is pretty flimsy and will probably need replacing soon. The features are great and it's a nice way to compete with friends.

    Falls off way too often

This product is great technology wise: keeps track of steps, stairs climbed, exercise, food and water intake, and has a really well designed app. But the clasp does not work AT. ALL. I got my first Fitbit Charge for Christmas this year and absolutely loved it--until it fell off two months later while I was walking on my way to class and disappeared off the face of the planet. I figured the clasp had failed due to a manufacturing defect, fought the company until I was sent a replacement, and figured that would be the end of it. I got my second Fitbit less than a month ago and it has fallen off at least four times since then. Thankfully I've been in my room every time, or have noticed it soon enough that I could find it immediately, but this is unacceptable. If you really want a Fitbit, go up to the Charge HR--it has a watch-esque clasp that is a lot less likely to fail (even though they're designed as exercise trackers--not sure how that plays out). I'm currently looking into finding a watch clasp to replace the one on my Fitbit, but save yourself some hassle and stress and either spend the extra money for the next model up or don't get one at all.
