I bought this as a gift. The person liked it. It has the basics hat you would expect from these devices.

This counts your steps and the intensity of your exercise. It gives instant feedback, and sets reasonable goals for each day. I have found myself walking extra blocks in order to meet the recommended number of steps. The wrist band is unobtrusive and the computer program works well and produces easy to read graphic outputs. Your daily exercise is more like a game than a chore with this.

my wife wanted one and I got it for her bday. he loves all the features especially the challenge where you can challenge friends to keep you motivated

I use the fitbit all of the time but have found that the light green color is wearing off on the edges.

my goal with buying the fitbit was to increase my walking, and what a fun way it's turned out to be. i get feedback when i get close to goal, i push myself more when i see i'm doing less today than i did before, and when i really pass the goal buy i get a note from fitbit congratulating me and saying i'm an overachiever. it's just a great way to motivate yourself to get more fit!

I am pretty happy with it. It works well and really helps you be aware of all your physical activity, monitor your eating habits too through their portal.
