    Perfect tracking package

I've used other fitness devices and I've had this one for a week now. The device is great but really it is just the main piece to a great package. The website and mobile app are just plain perfect. I do P90X and I wear a heart rate monitor during those workouts. The fitbit software allows you to create custom workouts and you can adjust the calorie burn each time you log your workout. You can also create custom meals for easy meal logging. Being able to look at my current status on my iPhone at anytime as well as log meals or activity from there is just great. Takes all the mystery out of your calorie tracking. I love it.

The FitBit has just been super dependable and nearly indestructible. It has gone through the washing machine clipped to my jeans pocket and my wife folded the jeans and put them away without seeing it. Low on charge, it beeped requesting attention and eventually we tracked it down!

I bought one for my husband and myself for a little competition and I am winning. It's easy to use and wear. I just wonder if you can get another rubber holder for it!

I like the compact size, it can be carried in my jeans or shorts pockets with notice. The clip is very tight and is sometimes hard to attach to thicker material. The food database does not have very many options for foods found stores or restaurants in the Pacific Northwest. The android app does a good job of tracking daily events like activities, food eaten (if in the database), and water consumption. However, you must use the website to update something simple like your weight. The sleep tracking option has been a interesting learning experience.

Great product that makes tracking exercise easy and enjoyable. I have owned numerous Fitbit products. While One is easier to lose, it is very reliable and can be worn in an unobtrusive way. Recommended for women who don't want to wear on wrist.

Easy to set up, easy to use. The app provides a lot of good information and is compatible with many other apps as well (My Fitness Pal, Spark People, Endomondo, etc). I like not having to wear a tracker on my wrist. Would recommend.

I had been reviewing different activity monitoring electronics for years (watches, pedometers, etc.) before finally deciding on this little thing. I really liked the fact that it can connect to your cell phone via bluetooth. It is much more convenient and give you more information over longer period of time. Another area I needed help with, sleep, was another great feature this item offers. It tracks your restlessness and times awake, to include the exact time it occurs and duration. The first problem I had with it was that it was not compatible with my Samsung S2 (stone age, right?). The second was that the tip of the clip popped off somewhere while I was wearing it. I decided it didn't alter the functionality of the fitbit, so I kept it. However, each time I went to grab it off my pants, the two prongs that stuck out would often cause a brief bit of pain. I had been showing it off to many people before that unfortunate day that it decided to pop right off my pants (last week). I've looked high and low, indoors and out, in snow and shag carpet. Unfortunately, my $99 investment lasted my only a couple short months. :( If it wasn't for that, I'd still be pretty happy with my purchase. But, since I upgraded my phone only a week before losing it, I'm a little angry/annoyed. I suggest that if you get this item, take it back if it breaks and hot glue a string to it and tie it around your belt loop or something to make sure it lasts a wee bit longer. Oh and avoid wearing sweaters or anything the two prong teeth might attach themselves to.

We have been using fitbit for several months now and it works great. First it is convenient. Wearing it is not a big problem at all. Secondly, it is nice to see how active you have been at the end of the day.

This little gadget is pretty cool. I'm very happy with my purchase, as it's motivating me to get more exercise than I would have normally. Also, it's small and since you can clip it to a pocket, it's less obtrusive than the armbands that perform similarly. I would definitely recommend it.

I had the FitBit ultra I got it caught on my car door not sure how it was clipped to my jean pocket and then it was to wide and didn't clip very well after that. I told FitBit and they sent me a new one. Then I upgraded to the FitBit One I like it so much better love the fact that it sync's to your iPhone and iPad works awesome! The quality is better I just keep it in my pocket. I'm glad I was able to upgrade well worth it! I have lost 22lbs. I use myfitness pal to log food and they sync together nicely.

I did a great amount of research on activity trackers before purchasing this item. It has encouraged me to eat better and exercise more but the best part for me was reporting on my sleep habits.

Absolutely fabulous product. No complaints whatsoever. Does a great job of accurately recording activity and sleep. I've been so motivated since I got it to really get back into shape. The more active you are the higher your flower grows. It's such a great feeling to see my flower hit the top of the screen. I feel like a real winner! Incredible product and I'm so happy I bought it!!

Great tracker for taking back control of health!

I love this tracker. The website is free with nothing else needed to purchase to get accurate meaningful reporting. I love how it also integrates with other health apps like Walgreens Step program, My Fitness Pal, Runkeeper, Runtastic, Map my run, Lose it, etc. the possibilities are there for anyone looking to tranform their health and take control. The tracker helps keep me accountable. It is easy to wear since I don't care for jewelry or bracelets. I clip it on and forget about it. It updates my phone throughout the day and provides a nice report weekly on performance and how you compare against friends. I have no complaints abut the tracker. Setup was easy when I upgraded from the zip. It transferred all information to the ONE and setup was less than 5 minutes. Initial setup was longer beck you have to creat an account. I even purchased the Aria scale and at first setup was a bit confusing but when I followed the instructions it was simple. I love it all and highly recommend to friends and family so that we can compete.

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend and he really likes it. He can't wear anything on his wrists in his line of work so this works well on his belt or in his pocket.

    Useful for only walking

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Fitbit One is really good at counting steps and miles while walking, but if you change up your method (i.e., biking), you need to have it easily accessible. And if you're in a fitted dress or skirt, it's hard to hide without a weird bulge or deep imprint in your skin - and then it's impossible to change the mode without basically undressing. For walking only, it's pretty good, but if you bike-commute, it's slightly less nice. The bluetooth sync-to-phone is a cool feature though, as it lets me check my step progress when the device is buried in clothing. If I were to repurchase, I'd probably opt for a wristband style, but it's nice for what it is.

Love this fitbit. Had one for over 1 year, used it every day to track steps & distance progress after surgery. Replaced it with the Fitbit One, this one sycns by its self. Allows you to set goals & see your progress. Love it so much bought 3 for xmas presents. Reveiwed other products before buying, this is the best for the money, easiest to use. If you love this, you'll love the scale.

    Best of the FitBit products

    Posted .

This is by far the best FitBit product for the cost. It costs the same as a Flex but offers so much more. The little screen is wonderful. I can see the current time, my steps for the day, my flights of stairs for the day, my active minutes, my miles, my calories burned, and a pretty flower that gets taller when I am more active. The screen also displays motivational messages when I pick it up and start to move it after it has been motionless for a few minutes. I love that I have options of where I can wear it. The clip that comes with it can be attached under your clothes so the world does not see your FitBit on your wrist. You can purchase wrist bands that fit it should you want to wear it on your wrist as well as necklaces that can do the same thing. You can track your sleep with the push of a button as well as specific workouts. It is not as accurate on calculating calories during your workout as a heart rate monitor with chest strap but none of them are great without a chest strap. I usually use a Polar Heart Rate monitor to calculate my caloric burn during cardio workouts and I enter the info into my FitBit Dashboard. In my opinion it is the best value for the cost

    So far a good product

I decide to upgrade from my Fitbit zip. I had several problems about a year into owning it. It all started when I started to change the battery. I was getting notifications that the battery was dead after just replacing it. Plus it started to reset on me, wiping out my days steps by turning off and then coming back on a few minutes later. For these reasons I decided to try the Fitbit one. I thought it would be good to add the functionality of levels plus the sleep monitoring and a rechargeable battery. So far, a few weeks into using it, no problems. I like the functionality of a recharger. I was replacing the battery in my zip every 4-6 months. It started to add up over the 2 plus years I had it. The battery in the One seems to last about 2 weeks before it needs to be recharge and seems to only take about a hour to recharge. Overall, I like the step up from the zip. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars is the sleep monitoring functionality. To use it, they recommend wearing the wristband and putting the Fitbit in it. This means having to take it out of the wristband and putting it in the clip every time you want to monitor your sleep. Very annoying! Plus you have to stop and start the sleep monitoring so it doesn't seem very efficient from that prospective. The whole sleep monitoring needs more design work by Fitbit!

I only use this for counting steps. Its difficult to stay active when we are stuck in cubicles, and Fitbit lets know when I need to get some more walking in to stay healthy. Its really easy to use, and never had problems with the data uploads. Its expensive, and I am sure there are cheaper options out there. The sleep tracker seemed hokey and I haven't used it much. But as a digital pedometer, it works great.
