Does not stay in belt clip

I received the Fitbit, charged it, clipped it to my belt, and went out to run errands for a couple of hours. When I got home the belt clip was still attached, but the Fitbit was no longer in the clip. Have not been able to find it.

    Hate The Redesign

I owned the original Fitbit and I loved it. I wore it all day and slept with it every night. It never fell off of my pocket. NEVER. I actually wore it out. When I went to the store to buy another, the only clip on choice was this model. I have had issues with it staying clipped on my pocket from day one. I tried my waistband. No better. The original was just more sturdy and I never had to be concerned about it falling off. Well today it happened. It fell off and this time I didn't hear it hit the ground, as I usually do. So I am now out $100. The original had a docking station that sat on my desk and everything was just easier. I will certainly purchase another activity tracker, but it absolutely will not be this model.

    CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH SYNCING

little support from Fitbit regarding syncing problems as module appears to be not always functioning during sync. No real solutions received that are workable. Long time getting responses from Fitbit.

    Good Idea But..

    Posted .

This is a great idea, and seems like a good product, after using it for a few months now i have the following problems -fit bit falls out of sleeve while sleeping, I have to wear sports band over it. ( not that bad of a problem, i can live with that.) -my Fit bit has been falling out of the holster while on my belt ( I have spent hours in very cold weather searching for it... very frustrating.) *To fix this problem i have been putting the holster backwards in my fifth pocket of my pants so if it falls it is contained.. ** But that is causing the fit bit to keep shutting itself down, losing all of the steps and data its supposed to be tracking... again very frustrating... i sent an email to them asking: Do you offer an upgrade to the flex? or a better holster? and they said i quote "If your tracker falls out of your wristband when you sleep, insert it all the way into the pocket and turn it sideways. Regarding to your Tracker on the belt clip, We have also found that users who wear their One tracker clipped inward, facing their body, have lost their trackers less frequently than users who wear their Ones facing out. This may be something to consider when clipping your new One on." they don't even read there emails everyone just gets a generic response with stuff you can read yourself at the FAQ section of there webpage.. Any way if you read this get the "fitbit flex", the "one" is designed to get lost very easily.

    Good software, mediocre hardware

    Posted .

I like Fitbit's smartphone software (other than the fact that it doesn't natively write to HealthKit) but I have not had good results with the reliability of their hardware. The One has been no exception to this. It worked fine for several months and then suddenly couldn't turn on. I worked through some troubleshooting steps to no success and then Fitbit support sent me an entirely new unit. Fitbit made things right in this case but this was becoming a pattern for me and so after this latest experience I started looking elsewhere.

Horrible quality! Avoid like the plague!

I have been a loyal customer since 2013, when I received a Fitbit One as a gift. I liked it so much that I bought a second Fitbit One, Aria Scale, and Alta tracker. My whole family uses Fitbits to track their steps and fitness stats. Unfortunately, in the 3 years I have had the Fitbit One, the belt clip has broken 4 TIMES. Customer support has happily replaced it 3 times, even after my One was no longer under the 1 year limited warranty. In April, I turned in another claim for the broken clip, and it was replaced. Yesterday, 4 months after the 3rd claim, the clip broke again. Also, the sleep band is falling apart. My claim to replace the broken clip and band was denied and I was told to buy replacements. I have also had to have the unit replaced once because it would randomly reboot within the first year. I escalated this incident to a supervisor and to Facebook representatives, who responded as follows: "Sorry for the inconvenience, Christine. In the past, we often replaced accessories that were not covered under warranty. Though customer satisfaction remains our number one goal, the demands of running a global business require that we now enforce our warranty consistently. Your understanding is appreciated." We are talking about a $10 clip that fell apart within 4 months. The individual parts aren't warrantied, only the original unit. I refuse to pay more money for a clip only to have it to break again and am sad to say I will shop elsewhere for my next fitness tracking device.

    This thing is pretty useless

    Posted .

I bought the Fitbit one for my wife as a gift, as she wanted something to count her steps and calculate calories burned during her workouts. Right out of the box, this thing started counting steps and calories out of nowhere! Just playing with it for an hour in bed, syncing it to her phone, it somehow calculated 1500+ calories burned! Even with it just sitting on the table for an hour, it shows 200 cals burned. Doesn't make much sense at all. Overall, we're not impressed. I thought that for something as "advanced" as its supposed to be, it can figure out whats a step and what is not, but so far, this thing is completely useless. Going to return it ASAP.

Good enough - When it works

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought my original Fitbit One just over two months ago. It worked well for the first couple of weeks and then I noticed that it would track my steps on the bitbit unit but it would not sync my steps with the fitbit app on my android phone. That happened three separate times and I decided to return it for another one. I returned it just this last Friday evening. Today is Tuesday and the new one has done the same exact thing twice now on two separate days and I've only had the unit for less than five days. I really like the Fitbit, but to be useful to me it has to work. Two different units in less than three months and both not working correctly. Game Over!!!

I work with computers and apple products all day long. I have emailed the company and they have responded but their response is weak. The syncing is very inconsistent which is very frustrating. I have the Iphone 4s and 5s and the latest PC OS. They all have problems with syncing with the devices!!!

    Great until it died

Loved the FitBit for a few months, but then it stopped bluetooth synching -- not found by iPhone any more, so can't monitor/compare anything over time (steps, sleep, calories, etc). So disappointed because I liked it very much. But at least the FitBit One unit itself still works standalone.

    Great concept, terrible case/clip

I bought this for my wife as a birthday gift. This was perfect as it was the newest greatest fit bit, that I had read so much about, and I was excited. My wife also was thrilled and excited to start wearing it. We were a little less excited when we saw the actual unit is taken in and out of the sleeve to use, charge and sleep. Even less excited when my wife lost it on the first day. Fell off her jeans while visiting restroom, she was busy keeping our 3 year old in check and didn't even notice that it fell off. None of her other belt clip items have ever been issue and I have read reviews elsewhere since our loss of this being not to uncommon and incident. While I like the fitbit for value and feature I would recommend staying with ultra, or going with the jawbone up, which I am currently using and enjoying.

    It's ok - does it's job

Generally it does it's job but it has fallen off easily and it is a pain to set when you sleep and wake up. You have to remember to tell the app you are going to bed and then tell the app when you wake up. The fitbit Force or Flex you just double tap for the same feature.
