Love this pedometer! Tracks sleep, too. Keeps me motivated to add more steps and keep moving. Long battery life and syncs easily with my computer and smartphone. Love the APP and website, although some items on the website aren't so easy to figure out or adjust. Would recommend this to everyone...especially someone who needs to get moving!

Not a bad upgrade from the ultra

As a user of the Fitbit Ultra that finally bit the dust due to constant use (it basically fell apart as I use these 24X7), I jumped on the latest version, the One. It's about the same size as the old one, but is now inserted into a rubbrerized holder with the clip. The device itself is basically a little oblong stone, so it won't wear out like the previous version did at the clip and break. The Bluetooth sync is nice, and works great with my iPhone 5. I travel occasionally and ensuring a sync without having to dock a device or have a computer handy is great. When at home it continues to sync automatically like the older device. Accuracy is always a question with these devices, so for me it's about using it as a reference instead of absolute. I know if I did 7,000 steps on it today and 10,000 on it yesterday I know I'm lazy today. Was I absoutely 3,000 steps different? Probably not exactly, but it's good enough to affect my motivation. The charging plug is this little USB type dongle with 2 contact points in it, and you remove the One from it's clip and click it into the dongle. It's a tight fit, and it has to be to make contact, and removing it I always feel like I'm about to break it to get it out. Hopefully over time this won't wear out. I charge it about once a week though so it's not getting plugged in regularly like a cell phone. Overall it's a decent enough upgrade from the ultra. If my ultra was still working I wouldn't have purchased this, but I've bought into the Fitbit family and wanted to continue with the tracking, so it was a logical choice for me. I do not desire to have the other Fitbit product on my arm, I keep the one and its predecessor (when I had it) in a pocket.

I love the fitbit one. It is so easy to conceal and I forget I am even wearing it. It tracks absolutely everything and since using it I have been able to identify and address the health issues I have needed to.

The fit bit one is a great product. I love knowing what I have done throughout the day. Great app for Android that syncs whenever you view it. Battery lasts consistently 7 days or more. Tracks sleep as well and interesting how well it correlates with actual sleep. Great motivator to do more if you aren't meeting the goals that you set!

I love my fitbit- its really helping me be more active and sleep more. The silent alarm feature is awesome. It also makes me laugh when it tells me things like "hold me" and "I love you" on the screen. I like how small it is so I can easily clip to my bra and no one sees it. It syncs well with the iPhone app, and the battery lasts about a full week. The only thing I don't like about it is that sometimes it registers my driving as walking.

I don't like I need to set at bedtime. I can't wear anything on my wrist- so I have the clip. I read online that it had to be set wish it was waterproof because I'm a kayaker.

This is one of the best things I have bought for myself. The Fitbit has helped me move more and is helping me to push myself to do a little more each day. It is keeping me accountable for what I am doing (or not doing as the case was). I used it for a week with normal activity to see how many steps I normally get in a day. I was absolutely shocked to see how sedentary I really was. Once I realized that I started moving more and haven't stopped. I even bought a treadmill and have been using it every day to get those steps in. I have been using the Fitbit just over a month now and have had a few days where I made the 10,000 steps and most days now I am able to get in at least 8,000. It also tracks my sleep patterns so I was able to see how much sleep I am getting and even how many times a night I wake up. This is an AWESOME tool! Of course, it is a tool and WE have to motivate ourselves but, it did the trick for me!

Great fitness and sleep tracker for walkers

After receiving the FitBit One as a Christmas gift, I have become obsessed with achieving the daily step and climbing goals. With its small size and placement options (front pocket on shirt, pants pocket, or belt clip), it can be worn for tracking as intended throughout the day without drawing attention. Sleep tracking is a little clunky: it requires placement of the device in a Velcro adjustable elastic wristband and requires remembering to activate sleep mode prior to sleeping and de-activating upon waking up. However, when used properly it provides data on hours sleeping per night and number of times awoken at night. Overall, the device is great - the default goals are challenging enough if recovering from a sedentary lifestyle, and can be modified for whatever fitness level you may be trying to achieve. This provides great motivation to improve or maintain fitness by walking or jogging to meet the daily goal.

Really like the FitBit One - it stays charged a long time and connects easily with iPhone, iPad, etc. to get your results quickly. I use it for tracking steps, but the Sleep app was fun to play with, and you can track your calories and water intake if you want. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is the second one that I have purchased. I bought the first one 1.5 yrs ago and wore it everyday, but washed it and it died. I bought a different kind the goes on your wrist but it didn't do as much and it wasn't as user friendly. I like that it monitors my fitness, links to my phone and sends encouraging messages when you are close to your goal and /or have met your goal. I also love that it not only monitors my sleep, it also shows me when I am active an inactive throughout the day.

It's small and lightweight. I clip it to my bra and forget about it. I get messages from it on my iPhone telling me I'm close to making my 10,000 step goal, or that I've met it. I find myself checking the app a couple of times a day. Also useful for tracking how many times you awake during the night, if you use the sleep tracking mode.

Bought this as a xmas present to my wife. This was a replacement for another Fitbit she left in her pants pocket that got washed and stopped working. Of course, she didn't learn the first time around, so she ended up washing this second one as well. She realized this time around that she had washed it, so she took it out of the wash and towel dried it. She ended up putting it in a jar of rice (I guess this helps dry it out) and the Fitbit still works. 5 stars for durability.
