I really love this FitBit Surge. I have always wanted a daily heart rate monitor, finally there is a superb tool for this purpose. Seeing hell my heart rate is impacted by my daily activities, my workouts and my bike rides has changed the way I am exercising and living day to day. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to improve their fitness and their health. I would give it five stars but the size is a little bulky and the strap is a little small. If you're trying to decide between the large and small, get the large.

I like the heartbeat monitor and it is pretty good with the activity tracker. I also like that I get text notificationsize with a vibrate and it syncs up pretty nice with my Virgin Pulse health rewards program through my employer. The battery life could be better and it isn't comfortable to sleep wearing it but other than that I really enjoy it.

I love the fitbit surge! It works great, looks good and is pretty accurate! While even though I love this product there are some things others didn't say that I wish they would have. The surge doesn't have a stop watch, which surprisingly comes in handy. It is a lot bigger than I realized. It is literally a watch that you wear all the time, where as the charge, or charge hr is more like a bracelet. If you play sports other than running, or non contact sports, it is hard to wear because it can get in the way. But if you run, hike, or do any non contact sports, it is perfect. Either way, I love the surge, but wish it had a stop watch and maybe a flash light would be cool to put on it? great product!

The things i like & dont about this this watch: first, It reads your HR without a strap fairly accurate while running not So much when Strength training or other types of exercises . It reads your sleep pattern/times correctly but can get a little uncomfortable having to wear it All the time. While working out if you wear gloves & bend your wrist it presses against the buttons which then stops the timer which can be Very annoying. The text messesage feature is Very cool & ofher alert fuctions to let you know to move or time for bed etc.. Overall I really wanted to like this watch but it was a lot of small things that turned me off & for the asking price I just coudnt over look them. Maybe version 2 will improve on it. Enjoy!

OUt of the box I was able to get it to work pretty quickly and without difficulty. The hard part came in trying to integrate with the iphone app. Had to figure out that the watch was now tracking and not my iphone. SO for a couple of days I double tracked data with different apps. Now it is helpful to track my sleep and marathon training.

Dropped a hint and received the Fitbit Surge for Christmas. Connecting it to the fitbit app was simple, no issues. The app itself isn't great, but it is functional and easy to use. I wish the graphs (like heart rate throughout the day, sleep cycle, etc.) could be expanded to show more detail in smaller time blocks. Rubber strap is very comfortable, not as stiff as my Casio G-shock watch. Biggest complaint is that it is not water proof, Fitbit warns against wearing it in the pool and in the shower.

I have had the FitBit Flex for 2 years and I love it. I wanted this one because it does everything plus monitors your heart rate and tracks your exercise. Everything works great, and the dashboard is fantastic. I find the watch itself very bulky, and it is uncomfortable to sleep in. The battery only lasts for a few days and then I have to take it off and charge. It is well made and durable though. I like it.

I was debating between the FitBit Surge & the iWatch. After watching reviews online, I decided on the FitBit Surge. I have had it for about a month & I really like it. It does a good job keeping track of my steps, exercise, heartbeat, etc.

It does what it says out to do. It would be nice if it was less bulky and had options for different bands. Also it has to be worn too high up on the arm, not like a watch. Most importantly it would have been nice to know that a newer, slimmer, nicer looking one with a color screen, better features and changable bands we coming out right after christmas, for $50 LESS. That's pretty crummy.

This is actually quite a great fitness tracker. It has a built in GPS and altimeter that allow it to track distance traveled as well as floors climbed. The companion app allows you to set alarms, customize exercise details, and otherwise manage your fitness goals. The only issue that I have with the band is the life of the battery (I'm charging it every 36 hours or so).

My husband purchased one for me for Christmas and after learning the ropes, I decided to buy him one as well. They interface with apps on phones and computer. You can add friends, join/create challenges with friends, track heart rate, steps, activity, patterns, calculate calories, etc. You enter your profile (gender, height, weight, etc.) and then give a goal weight loss, time frame to reach it, and it will tell you how many calories to consume per day and throughout the day let you know how many you have left.

I purchased the Surge in late december. The first one I received didn't work out of the box - the touchscreen was unresponsive and I had to send it back to fitbit. Their customer support left a lot to be desired and isn't very well run. Numerous phone calls, not doing what they said they would, and I had to initiate all contact to get a status on my "case." It took about four weeks to get a new (and working) version. Thankfully, the new one works. The Heart Rate monitoring has been very accurate (withinuwithinu 2-3%) compared to a manual check and what registered on cardiovascular equipment. Be advised though, the HR monitor does stop working when doing higher intensity exercise with a large range of movement or plyometrics (bootcamp, insanity). No idea why, but has done so consistently. Haven't used the GPS yet, so can't verify if it works or the impact on battery life. Everything else (notifications, steps, floors) works as expected. Will also say the battery doesn't last five days, 3-4 tops. A good tracker, just not worth the price.

The fitbit Surge is a good watch for tracking fitness, track steos, calories burned, tracks workouts (elliptical, free weights, running). The surge band doesnt come apart like the Blaze, its a whole sturdy watch band. I give it 3 stars because it was a good watch that served its purpose for me, for almost a year. The watch is supposed to be water proof so ive taken it in the shower with me also. Only problem is I sweat a lot when I workout and almost at the year point it broken apart from the sweat, water, and wear n tear. I did purchase the 2 year warranty which I didn't need because the factory warranty did cover it and I received a new one for free. If you want a watch for fitness and dont sweat too much and take it off when you shower this is a good watch for you.

Some of the options like the texts I've turned off because it can get annoying like any tech that has texting if you get a chain of them. You do need to take it off every so often and clean the band or you'll get a rash, just like the care instructions warn. The only surprising annoyance for the watch is that it catches on my button down shirt sleeves. Overall, very useful and would recommend to anyone that uses Fitbit products.

After purchasing this watch I was very pleased with the degree of accuracy and application dimensions it shares with iPhone and Androids. Recommended for those who are looking to get back on track with a universal watch to wear everyday to work, school, etc. Swipe touchscreen on actual watch to see the status of your current day and a selection of workout types to calculate calories burned with the ability to determine heart rate.

Well I'm still getting used to it I've only had it about a week and its doing fine as a tracker, as far as a smart watch function you can read your texts that is it (which i knew). i think a charge HR would have been fine and i could have saved some bucks, the digital readout is nice unless your trying to read a text. a note on size I'm a male with normal sized wrists and the band (which is larger than the charge) is close to the end. bottom line i would compare this and the charge HR and make sure this is what you would want. they essentially do the same this is just has the large screen and you get notifications (which are hard to read). good product but if i could do it over i would probably have got the Charge HR.

I have lost more weight than I set out doing because of the watch. Once you set a daily goal you fill compelled to finish it- even when you had a long date at work and are tired. That extra push does wonders for fitness goals. I love to bike ride so it's cool using the GPS feature to map my favorite routes so I know exactly how far I have ridden and about how many calories I am burning. Can't say enough good things about this watch. Only negative- I wish the batter lasted longer.

My initial thought when I opened the box was "wow, but why does the band seem to flimsy?" It just seemed to thin compared to the band of my Force. Well, so far, so good. It has held up well for the first month. I find it very accurate for me with the GPS. I tested with a few laps around a track and city blocks, and it was nearly right on with the stated distance. The HR seems to match my readings whenever I manually take my HR.

I really just got the product for a heart rate monitor during workouts. I now find myself wearing it daily. I track my distance during hikes and average pace. I also can see on the graphs where my peak heart rate took place. I was excited to not have to wear a chest strap. It is easy to use. My only request is that more color options are available. It would also be great to have a kid friendly version.
