The surge is great, you can track your workouts on the watch itself in real time, no need to track later online. The navigation of the watch is really simple! I love how it tracks your steps and alerts you when you reach your goal! Also alerts you when you have an incoming phone call! Get one, you will not be disappointed!

I have all the Fit Bits and this is the best. Love the GPS maps and the accuracy. It is a little big and the heart rate is not as good as a chest strap but is much easier to use and take care of than the full blow running watches.

Seems to work well so far. Used at Disney world to track movement and did well. The set up was easy. I like the dashboards. It has helped me motivate to increase miles and steps on a daily basis. I now take steps instead of elevators or escalators. I wish they sold a medium size. I think the surge only came in small and large. I read many reviews before purchase and read that it had to be tight when exercising over 140bpm so I had to buy the small. It fits tight since I am 6ft 171 lbs. At least at best buy, it was only offered in black. It is big on the wrist. When wearing it for long periods tight it did irritate the skin.

I really like the Surge. Particularly how the heart rate monitor enables you to ensure you're getting a good cardio workout. It's a little too big for my taste, but works well.

I bought the Surge when I realized my One was on its last leg. I researched because I thought I'd maybe splurge and get the Apple Watch. I was surprised to find out the Apple Watch does not have a silent alarm! I enjoy the GPS feature for my bike rides. I feel like the Surge is more accurate on steps than the old Flex I had. The only negative I have is you have to really make sure the charger stays in full contact with the Surge. If it gets slightly loose, you'll think you have a full charge only to find out you don't.

I am a nurse and I clock in at least 6 miles a day, this is a great product to help me keep up with my steps, check my notifications when I'm not able to get to my phone, and when I exercise on my days off I can track my progress!! Great job on this one fitbit!

The software is the best part of this watch. As for the watch itself it's ok. But garmins top end is better. Garmins screen is color and its waterproof up to 6ft. It also shows the weather. The Fitbit does none of this.

I don't run but I work out regularly and use it to track calories burned and heart rate. It is great with tracking my sleep and the silent alarm to wake you is great.

Heart rate monitor works as advertise. Provides accurate constant heart rate without the need for a chest strap. I've tried to connect it with my HTC One M8 HK for call & text notifications but it doesn't work yet. Per the Fitbit help page, it will only work once my phone has been updated to Android 5.0. I've also had limited success with using it to control music likely for the same reason. I can skip forward and pause but unable to resume play from the watch. If I link the Surge to my iPad, I'm able to get full music control through the Surge. Overall, I'm happy with the Surge. This is an upgrade from my Fitbit Flex.

I My only concern is the life of the battery. It last about a week. The Surge is really huge on my wrist. I love the Surge it is able to measure any fitness activity that I participle in..walking, stairs, Zumba, etc..

I love this Fit Bit Watch. I especially like the text messages on my wrist and alerts when a call is coming in. Many times my phone is in my back pocket so when I walk I miss text and calls because I don’t feel it vibrating, but my wrist lets me know I am getting the call or text and I can check it quickly without pulling out my phone. so handy! All the health stats are awesome. Heart Rate, steps, Floors, etc. It was a present that I would have never bought myself but I’m thrilled I have it.

I've wore many watches in my day. This one is very hard to get used to. I like the watch and what it does. I am wishing I would spent the extra $$$ on the iWatch because the bands were said to be way more comfortable. I do wear it everyday and it functions for what I bought it for, so overall, I like it. Downsides are: takes awhile to get used to - screen is brittle and scratches too easily for a watch you use while being active.

I started with the Fitbit Charge and loved it, but I wanted to be able to track heart rate and be able to get exercise data on change in elevation and mapping with GPS. I also wanted to be able to include different types of exercise like bicycling. The surge is awesome. The band is comfortable and the watch is easy to use. Both the surge and charge are synced to the same account. A couple of drawbacks are that the GPS sometimes takes a minute to connect to the satellite. Also, the screen is not a color display which is surprising considering the cost of this watch. Finally, plan on charging this watch after every 2.5 hours of exercise so that its ready the next time. A single charge will last longer if you are not using the GPS.

One of the best watches I have ever invested in. Has the main features I was looking for. I really like that it can monitor my sleep, heart rate, and give me current time. Wish I could respond to text messages.

I did alot of research and outside of spending $400-500 I found the Fitbit Surge to be the best fitness tracker available. Since I purchased and have been wearing I agree with the ratings. This watch does everything from tracking my sleep to letting me GPS my runs. I would highly reccommend.

I wish it had a little longer battery life, I get 4 days before recharge. I am going thru Cardio Rehab after a heart attack and the heart rate monitor is within a beat or two of the equipment used by the nurse.

The Fitbit Surge had a lot of cool features such as a heart rate monitor, But I wanted something I could swim and shower while wearing. While the information said Water Resistant and a BB employee told me it was good in water up to 10 ft, as I read the Fitbit web site it said it was splash resistant and should not be worn in the shower. I returned it and bought the Garmin Vivoactive.
