Customers are saying
Customers admire the Zip Wireless Activity Tracker's ease of use, small size, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate its motivational features and find it reasonably priced. However, some users point to inconsistent battery life and a display that can be difficult to read as drawbacks. The limited feature set compared to more expensive models is also a recurring concern.

Good device. Mediocre "cradle"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my wife because she liked the idea of the step-tracker and whatnot. Problem is, she popped it in the cradle and on the one occasion she neglected to wear it on the inside of her pocket, it popped out of the cradle and has subsequently disappeared. I'm confident we'll find it one of these days, but it's of no help at the moment. While she had it, the device worked great. It was largely unnoticeable in her pocket, and she felt it was reasonable accurate in tracking her steps. So again, only criticism is that the "cradle" should be more of a pocket around the device itself. That way, wearing it in or outside the pocket of your pants wouldn't matter as much and it wouldn't be as likely to fall out of the cradle. Anyhow, maybe your experience will be different in that regard. I recommend the device, just be careful with how you're wearing it.

Have had 3 now
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first Fitbit years ago. Then I got a Fitbit One (very happy with it) and gave the Zip to my wife. Then I got a Fitbit HR about 18 months ago for the heart monitoring. Had to give the Fitbit One to the wife (she lost the Zip). Sorry to say, the Fitbit HR is not very accurate on the steps, so I wasn't completely satisfied (works great on heart monitoring, stairs, etc, just not on the steps). So BestBuy had a sale on the two pack of the zip and I ordered it. I have been comparing the steps on the HR and the Zip and the HR is consistently about 15% low. I check it by walking on my treadmill for 45 minutes and then compare. I think it probably has something to do with the positioning (arm versus pocket) and measures the arm movement instead of the legs. I would give the HR 4.5 stars (I got it mainly for the heart monitor and my doctor checks it on each visit) and the One and Zip 5 stars. I will put the HR in my pocket with the Zip and my wife's One and compare the three.

For goal oriented people
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is really good for tracking your steps if that's what you want. You just wear it and it works. It's tough too. I washed it by mistake AND dried it. It didn't hurt it a bit.

Ok For The Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.. I had purchased this as a replacement for the original fitbit that died after 18 months of use. i just returned this after having it for a week of using it. It's not as comfortable as the original. I had a hard time getting the screens to change to the different stats and if it's dark you can't see the information on the screen. If there was a way to get it to light up, I never found it. It's not as discreet as the original. I like to wear it on my bra cup. The stats seemed to be accurate. For the price, this wasn't a bad deal. I think I was just spoiled by having the original fitbit for so long. So I decided to wait for the upgraded version that is coming out later this month.

I love my fit it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my fitbit about two months ago and I love it. It does what it is suppose to do. I can track every step I take and know when Im lacking and when Im doing great. I love the encouragement when Im on track. I have earned badges and that's great as well. I needed this years ago. I have lost 10 pounds. I connected it to my tablet and phone and it works great. The only thing about it is that it's small and sometimes I forget to take it off of my clothing and I hate not having it on me. This is great for anyone trying to lose weight. Tracking my food and water intake is a eye opener.

Great but batteries need to be replaced often
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great but batteries need to be replaced often. I've had my Zip for over a year now. It has helped me lose weight and track my meals and exercises. The only issue I have had is the battery keeps dying after a few months. I had to keep replacing the batteries. I eventually bought another one and this one is working better, But I imagine later down the line it may have the same issues.

Great Basic Fitness Tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the fitbit zip with not too much research. I was unsure of which fitbit tracker would be the best for me, and decided to try it out at the lowest price. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use and ability to wirelessly sync. I have since done more research and have decided to keep the zip for now, and possibly get the force after it's release. This is a great beginner's fitness tracker.

Great motivator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a little over a month I've logged over 200 miles of walking. It has been an amazing motivator. If I hadn't purchased it I doubt if I would have walked half that much. The byproduct of this has been an 11 pound weight loss and I look forward to adding more steps to my day.

Great to get motivated!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the fitbit to help keep me motivated to lose weight and go to the gym and it definately helped! I find myself checking my steps throughout the day right from my phone and it makes me want to reach my goals. The only thing bad about it is I didn't even have it a month and it stopped syncing to my phone and computer but thats okay because I love it so much that I am going to exchange it for the one that tracks sleep as well. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Awful ... Just Awful ... Don't Even Consider Item
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My doctor requested I purchase an activity tracker, so I can track my fitness, and report the results to her. I am recuperating from a brain injury, so tracking all my movements and food intake is a great idea, and theoretically, Fitbit is the perfect product. I purchased a Fitbit Zip on January 19, 2017, and started to use it January 20. After a few hours of use, I had to replace the battery. Last night, I had to replace the battery for the fourth time. At a battery per week, this device is going to get expensive. The display is difficult to see. It is not backlit. A tap on the screen should allow the user to cycle through the items, but a hard slap is what is really required. After a time, I fear I will break the device just trying to cycle through the display. The belt clip is horrible. The plastic tip kept falling off and was difficult to put back on. It finally broke off and is lost. Now the metal part of the clip sticks out and pokes my skin. With all this fussing with the belt clip, the rest of the holder is falling apart and the tracker slips out of the holder. I have been treating this device as if it were made of fine China, but it is more fragile than even that. It’s a cheap piece plastic junk. In order to sync the device to my phone, the following steps must be followed: 1. Turn off any device attached to phone via Bluetooth. Turn off Bluetooth. 2. Reboot phone. While phone is rebooting, remove battery from Fitbit Zip and wait 20 seconds before reinserting it. 3. Once phone has reboot, turn on Bluetooth, but don’t attach anything to it. Make sure all background apps and services on phone are turned off. 4. Sync Zip with phone and wait upwards of three minutes before sync completes or fails. During this three minutes, battery will suffer severe drainage. 5. If sync fails, repeat all these steps over and over and over and over again until success. I wrote to Fitbit Support to request they honor their warranty, but they won’t. They said they sent a replacement tracker, but they sent it via regular US Mail, without a tracking number. Now some Postal employee is making use of my tracker. Fitbit now tells me to return my defective tracker to them, at my expense, then in about a month or so, they may send a replacement one to me. Their package will be sent via regular mail, without a tracking number, so there is no telling if I will ever receive a replacement. I regret my purchase, and I regret falling for all the Fitbit hype. My friends tell me that they love their Fitbits, but they all have the expensive watch-style devices. My mistake was purchasing the low-cost model, which is an expensive ($60.00) cheap piece of S***. I would be better off with a pencil and a pad of paper. Manually count my steps and write them down. That method works better than the Zip.

Very Handy little Pedomoter for general use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using this as a replacement for my Fitbit One that simply couldn't take a runners punishment. It has less bells and whistles but I don't need it to track sleep, elevation, or even nutrition (online), just steps. So far, I'm pretty happy with it and it's capabilities. It works better for my needs in fact than the One did (and it's sweat proof which my One wasn't).

Does what it says
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool little fitness tracker. It syncs via bluetooth to your moble device and comes with a dongle to hook up to you computer if need be. Set up is simple and the only complaint is that the clip itself seems like it could break after repeated use.

Good, small, unobtrusive pedometer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit measures steps accurately, uploads to computer once setup and synced. Graphs your movements (or lack of) throughout the day so you get a good idea about how sedentary you are. Clip does not go over belt. Clip case a little flimsy. However its so small I clip it to my pocket. So small and lite it will probably end up in the washer.

Great tracker for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this item as an xmas present. Used best buy certificates and got it really cheap while it was on sale. I like this because it is easy to bluetooth to your phone and keeps track of steps all day. Even gives you a weekly update on how you are doing. It was super easy to set up the account and sync with my smartphone.

Step Tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift and I like it. It is nice because I didn't want one to wear on my wrist since I have a collection of Fine watches. However this tracks your steps and allows you to chart it with Bluetooth on the app if you like. Which was my biggest reason for using it.
