    My Little Fitbit

One of the two things I make sure I wear everyday. I always try to get 10,000 steps a day. It's great paired with my iPhone. If only it also tracks sleep, that would be the best. But overall it was a great buy!

The FitBit Zip is awesome. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive way to track your steps/distance, this is the right device. It's super small and not noticeable under clothes. I put it in my pocket if I wear jeans, or I clip it onto my waistband if I wear shorts or a skirt. The steps seem accurate. I really enjoy earning "badges" for accomplishing new things -- i.e. walking over 20,000 steps in a day. Overall, this is a great motivator. This device has made me aware on the days that I haven't been as active (getting only 3,000 steps in a day is a bummer!).

Works great for my needs. I just wanted to track steps and calories burned so I did not need all the bells and whistles of more expensive fitbits. Love that it shows the number of active minutes from workouts. Phone app is easy to use and understand. I also like that it is small and I can 'hide' it, the world doesn't need to know that I have a fitbit!

I've owned two other pedometers in the past which were priced significantly lower than this one so it was hard for me to justify spending 50 dollars on a pedometer...but then I started using it.... Having your stats available so you can see your progress through history, in addition to having a community available online really motivates me to keep moving! Sadly (before wearing the zip) on days that I worked from home I could easily say there is no way I'd hit anywhere near 10K steps in a day, but seeing my calorie burn, total steps, etc just motivates me to get out and get some steps in! I like the zip because it's smaller than the average pedometer, it takes a regular battery (I don't like rechargeable because I would inevitably forget to charge it), and isn't complicated to setup/use!

Love this product! Compact, convenient, tracks what I want and knowing it's there keeps me motivated! Syncs right to my phone app and I love that I don't have to constantly charge it like you would a phone. Just have to replace an inexpensive battery every few months. Great value!

    3rd FITBIT ZIP for me

My first FITBIT worked great! I wear it all day, everyday. Properly counted steps, uploaded my data correctly, and I had no complaints for about a year and a half, then it just stopped working completely. So, I went and purchased another one because I love it so much. Well, that one was horrible. When you tapped the front display, sometimes it would work, sometimes, wouldn't come on at all. It would not sync properly, and somendays, the step count would randomly reset during the day. Very aggravating. Even replaced battery twice, but same problems. After a couple of months, I gave up and bought a different brand of pedometer. (Worse - but, I won't go into that ). I went and bought another FITBIT ZIP, and it works great, just like the first one did! I don't know what happened with my second ZIP, but I am happy with this one. Counts steps correctly and no trouble uploading/syncing info ...

Received this as a gift and I love it! This is basically, a high tech pedometer and is the best pedometer ever! I don't like the idea of wearing a fit bit bracelet and I don't care about the sleep tracking the bracelet provide...I would not like wearing something on my wrist overnight anyway. This small Fitbit pedometer clips to my belt and is out of sight, out of mind. It tracks steps, mileage, and calories. It connects to my phone and to my computer (using the included USB dongle) via Bluetooth. I get a weekly fitness report. This thing is really accurate as well. I have tracked mileage with my phone GPS using a running app and the Fitbit is always spot on whether two miles or ten miles! I love this thing and highly recommend!

Motivates you to get the steps in. Surprisingly catches every step though some times takes several seconds before screen changes if have been standing. Don't have to display on wrist like the other big size ones. Is not in your way on your wrist either which I would think golfers tennis basket ball racquet players or someone with wrist bands or guards on would not like. I like the small pocket size a some may not but I was not looking for sport jewelry. no heart rate monitor but I can count. Software to phone is great to Apple desktop a little slower and takes longer to be accurate. Graphing on software is good tracking and helps to motivate a few thousand more steps. Adding a backlight or if there is a hidden one that you could clearly find how to operate would make it a five but I suspect drains battery faster as a feature. I wish they put a clip this good on my other stuff it is really firm in place. Also it may measure your riding lawnmower or ATV bumps as steps which may cause you to use some muscles but not actual steps. The estimated calorie use is very cool.

I love my fit zip. It's small and goes in my pocket or my bra, and I don't have to wear a bracelet all day. It keeps track of my steps taken, gives me the time of day, and how many calories I burned. Would recommend this product to anyone...

This makes my 2nd purchase of a Fibit tracking device. I simply love it. Simple to use, you just naturally grap it and hook it on your pants as soon as you wake up in the morning. I can keep track of my steps, mileage and calories each day. I just love this device.

Love the size of the Fitbit Zip (until the cat decides it's a toy for him). Easy to stick in my bra or hang on a belt loop. Keeps good count and also gives you the time, calories and distance along with steps. Go online and you get all the charts you could want.

I absolutely love my new Fitbit Zip! This is perfect for those who are just starting to get into a healthy lifestyle. I really like how I am able to track my steps, see how far I've walked(in miles), and I can track how many calories I've burned as well. I use this in conjunction with the Fitbit app which has tons of different stuff you can do. I'm able to set a daily goal for steps, calorie intake, miles walked, water intake, calories eaten, active minutes for exercise, and I can input lots of different exercises and it is able to let me know how many calories I've burned. It also lets me know if I've gone over my daily limit of calories for the day according to what my goals are. If you don't have a lot of money to spend on one of the other expensive ones then this is the one for you.

I had a Fitbit Force and unfortunately developed skin problems from it so returned it during the voluntary recall - which I thought was a very classy thing for Fitbit to do! In any event, I missed it and knew I wasn't walking as much. I wanted something simple and easy to wear, didn't really want a wrist band so much any more so when Best Buy offered the Zip on one of their daily deals, I was intrigued. I did some research and was pleased with the reviews of it so I purchased it and have been wearing it every day since. So happy to have gotten my steps back up! It actually seems to be more accurate than the Force was.

Though small, this Fitbit records all that I need. I wear it on the waist and it records my steps, miles, time of day, and calories. It syncs easily with my phone, so no problem there. The battery does need replacement about every 4 to 6 weeks. My daughter also has one; it's just the Fitbit that we prefer as I have had other ones. When I travel, I don't always have an internet connection or computer, so this little device still lets me check on my steps.

Very Easy Way to Track Your Mileage

I used to have a FitBit 1 but lost it while traveling so I tried the Zip as a replacement. It is less expensive than the FitBit1 but it also does not keep track of elevation that you've climbed. However I like that you don't have to recharge the battery, and also the waterproof feature. I don't worry about wearing it when it is raining. One thing I find annoying is that you have to wait for the device's schedule, rather than your schedule, to see mileage, steps, calories, etc. It is annoying when a friend asks how far we've hiked, and you have to wait a few minutes before being able to answer, whereas with the Fitbit 1, you could answer right away.

This Fitbit seems to take a very accurate count of my steps. It ignores little shuffling movements, which I find helpful. After all, I'm not trying to cheat myself into thinking I'm getting more exercise than I am. Wearing the Fitbit attached to my waistband, pocket, or bra seems to make no difference in its calculation efficiency. Wearing this device motivates me to walk a lot more than I normally do (used to!). I find myself parking at the farthest spot in a parking lot or walking the two dogs separately just to log more steps. I've been using it for 6 weeks now, and my activity level has risen considerably. Great investment in my health!

    Good solid activity tracker

Every review, everything I've read about the Zip is accurate. It works well and gives you a basic level of activity for the day. Since I have a bum leg from a car accident, my stride is a bit shorter than what Fitbit thinks it should be. So, as soon as I purchased the Zip I set it to the actual length of my average stride. I've read numerous reviews where the people say they've lost their device. I guess if you aren't using the neoprene case (which has a belt clip on it), I can see you may lose it. But the clip on that case is very tight, in fact I have a bit of a time getting it clipped to my pocket. As a precaution I clip it on my pocket with the Zip on the inside, but I can't imagine this thing coming off a belt, waistband, etc. The only reason I've rated this at 4 stars instead of 5 is the difficulty syncing the Zip. If I navigate my laptop to the Fitbit dashboard, the Zip syncs very quickly, without having to 'wake' the device. The app for iPhone/iPad seems to sync fairly fast, however it prompts you to tap the Zip to wake it up, and once you do that it syncs within a few seconds. The first app I installed was for the Android, and that app doesn't prompt you to 'wake' the Zip. In fact, you wouldn't expect you would have to 'wake' the unit since it's bluetooth connection is always on and the manual tells you it automatically syncs whenever it's within close range to a device you have setup to sync with the Zip. And even after tapping the Zip to wake it, the Android app takes a long time to sync, many times reporting it can't find your device. OK, so I realize I've reduced my rating of this device because of a third party app, but it seems that bluetooth syncing has been an issue with many users. So if you're syncing only with an Android device, expect it to be slow compared to what we've come to expect from devices. If you're using an Apple device or syncing via the online dashboard you will likely experience very satisfactory response.

I bought this for my girlfriend and it works great, keeps tracks of steps and is easy to use and the fitbit app is excellent. Unfortunately less than 2 months after getting it the battery has run out, replacing it is easy and we bought a bunch in bulk so it's not too expensive. But considering it was advertised as 6months of battery it is a bit disappointing. Hoping it's a one time thing and this battery lasts much longer.

Well, my friends have talked me into keeping a fitbit on me to track my daily walking/activity. Well, first thing you will notice is that this thing will hurt your feelings. Everyone says a normal active person should be taking 10,000 steps a day - well after a day with just 2000 steps - you realized it is either going to become your new best friend or a specter that will haunt your days. I decided to befriend the little demon and now I am getting over 10000 steps a day on average. Side effects include weight loss, better sleep and more energy. Also, when you convince your other friends to get one and start using the fitbit app on your smartphone - it becomes a tool for taunting and bragging to all the other people you know who think 2000 steps a day is a lot! The device itself is extremely simple and easy to use. The Android app can be at times. You use your smartphone bluetooth connection to sync/track your steps - creating a daily activity log. With this app you also can make friends (social media aspect and bragging tools!) along with setting challenges and completing goals. It is all about fortune and glory - so get one and get walking! PS: I washed mine by accident once - still works fine - so it is really sturdy!
