The five stars is more about the movie than any specific features of the blu ray. Just a pure campy romp of wacked out sci fi and fantastic over the top performances. It's terribly dated, but if you grew up watching it you'll love wandering back down that road and seeing it again.

40 years? WOW...steel book classic on blu-ray. Nice transfer to blu-ray, awesome sound track and it includes episode 1 of the original Flash Gordon serial! If you are a Flash Gordon fan grab this one!

As a kid I was such a fan of this movie I saw it in the theater many times over. I bought it on DVD to Blu-ray which was OK but now it’s finally on 4K and the 4K is amazing the sound is amazing it’s something we should’ve been seeing a long time ago with all the pretty colors and the great soundtrack

I haven't watched it yet but I'm sure it will be good. Watching Ted and Ted 2 and how he talked about it and how Flash was in the second one so I don't see why it wouldn't be good.

Ok, this is a campy rather dopey movie but still enjoyable to watch. The main actor probably got more recognition from the Ted movies, so if you like Ted movies this is the movie referenced.

First of all, the extras and work put into the restoration for the 4k release is top notch. The video, audio etc are as good as it will get. It is such a classic 80's film. But, if you are interested in also having a Blu-ray disc then you will be disappointed. Just one 4k disc in this set.

This is freaking sweet! If you like Flash Gordon, which I do, obviously. It was not much more than the standard packaging and has some cool artwork.

Been a fan of this since I was a kid and this is a brilliant restoration. Image quality is superb as it can be considering the age of the film and it’s still a joy to watch.

I’ve enjoyed this movie for years, and picked this up on blu-Ray and now have the anniversary edition on 4K. Definitely added this to the collection of other anniversary editions.

A rock opera that is B, but worth the effort. Dialogue is on the week side story not much to brag about, but a movie that people still love. The book is amazing and proud I have it.

Saw this in rhe movie theater when i was a kid. It was awesome. Couldn't wait to watch it on 4k. And it sidnt disappoint

In a time of overblown CGI movies with no plot, it's nice to see the craftsmanship of this late 70-early 80s era movie. Sure it doesn't quite take itself seriously but it's a lot of fun none the less. Great Blu-Ray release and nice extras!

Flash Gordon is an essential Sci-Fi cult classic. A vibrant high def throwback to a wonderful time in filmmaking when people were less concerned with social engineering And all about entertainment. Brilliantly restored in 4K. Tune out your worries and rediscover fun! :)

Bought this for my boyfriend as a gift and he absolutely loved it! Loved it so much he posted a pic of it on Facebook. If you like Flash Gordon this is definitely an item for you!

Great set, but i can't help but feel a little disappointed though. I was actually hoping this would be a nice box set. Arrow has been know to do nice special edition box sets for some of their releases. Besides that, the picture and audio are simply amazing.

It's so bad, it's good. Nostalgia for sure, but it never looked so good. Arrow always does an awesome job with these. Check out their remaster of Ronin for another one.

When I saw this as a child I didn’t realize how campy it was but now I realize that’s why it’s so amazing and a cult classic. And the soundtrack can’t be beat!!! A must own!

There’s not much to say if you grew up watching this movie as a kid. The movie still holds up in my opinion. Comes in a nice sleek steelbook and the transfer is nice.

Flash Gordon always great movie to watch once in awhile. Grew up watching this movie and a good soundtrack by Queen, not sure if they made this movie also.

My 4 star rating is mainly for the quality of the disc itself. Arrow has done some great work cleaning up this old film. On paper, I should love this: 80's, Cheese, Beautiful Women and a Queen soundtrack but it's never clicked for me.
