    Great set - NOT Blu-Ray

It's still a great set of 80's sci-fi, but don't expect Blu-Ray. The package clearly says Widescreen DVD on the UPC and there is the DVD Video logo in the bottom right on the back.

    NOT Blu-Ray

These are decent classic Sci-Fi movies, but they are regular DVDs. The Best Buy description says "Blu-ray disc". I clicked on a link from the weekly ad to this "Blu-ray Disc" set and ordered it for store pick-up. The sticker on the package has the same SKU #1584655 and states "BD-FLASH GORDON". There is even a blue stripe along the top of the front of the case to complete the farce. Before opening the package, as with all Blu-Ray, I checked the back of the case after I got home to see if the movies were listed as 1080p; there was no resolution listing (the Date Night/Mr. & Mrs. Smith two-pack of Blu-rays sold at Best Buy doesn't list resolution on the outside packaging either). I wondered about the standard DVD case, but since there were four discs inside I erroneously figured that they just changed the packaging for this product. I checked the product page on the web site again, sure enough it says "Blu-ray Disc". Maybe if I had put readers on I would have realized the Blu-ray logo was not to be found on the packaging. So my review of this four-movie "Blu-ray Disc" product on a scale of 1 to 5 is a 1, because it apparently does not exist. What a pain! I will put a request through for them to fix this, of course, web description and store label....

Not BluRay.. Otherwise awesome price for the value

Was actually excited about this, ordered it a month ago, when it finally got here I opened the package and found a DVD. As these are older movies that if your looking at this item, you already know about the plots, I will focus on the product. As this was not a BluRay, I am going to assume that the BluRay release will be of better quality and have extras, but for the price paid this is still an exceptional value!

4/5 because... I ordered this bundle, thrilled to see that BB said it was a blu ray. When it was delivered as a DVD I called customer service and said they sent me the wrong format. We discovered that the DVD is the only format this bundle is available in. All in all its still a great bundle for the price. Just know that it is NOT A BLU RAY!!!
