I cannot say enough great things about FLCL!! The art style is amazing and the animation is fantastic...even better is the soundtrack by Japanese punk band The Pillows. I dare you to find one song that doesn't get your toes tapping! This show is a classic and with good reason. If you like bizarre characters, incoherent storylines and great music, give FLCL a chance. It's worth your time!! I chose the dvd rather than the bluray because it is an upscale and I thought the dvd actually looked better. Have fun!!

Bought this set for my brother for his bday and he watches it all the time loves it

When a guitar-weilding, Vespa-riding girl whacks young Naota across the skull, weird things begin to happen. Things like robots emerging from his head, girls throwing themselves at his feet, sprouting cat ears, and fighting off aliens while trying to maintain a normal middle-school life. The fast-paced ,MTV-style animation, offbeat humor, and rocking soundtrack makes FLCL a must-see anime! Watch it for yourself and try to answer the burning question-"What is Fooly Cooly?"

FLCL ,or Fooly Cooly , deals with a teenage boy who runs into an alien girl-----literally! Funny and awesome series can be watched in one day since it only has six episodes. :D
