It is also too soft, the chair sinks down into it making it hard to roll my chair.

This PVC chair mat is designed for use on low-pile carpet up to 1/4 inch. Performance can vary based on carpet type and overall weight applied. For best results, we recommend ensuring that the combined weight of the user and chair does not exceed 180 lbs, as this may affect the mat’s durability and performance.
We also suggest double-checking your carpet thickness. A simple way to do this is by using a paperclip: gently push it through the carpet and padding until it touches the subfloor, then measure the distance from the subfloor to the top of the carpet pile.

I needed something for on a bare floor and this had little nubs on the back. Tried to take it back and I was 16 days too late. the sales person never told me there was a limit on return days!!! Now I am stuck with a mat that I do not want and cannot use!!!

The mat you received is designed for use on carpet, which is why it has nubs on the back to help keep it in place. For bare or hard floors, we do offer chair mats specifically designed with a smooth backing to protect the surface and prevent slipping. Please note that we do not recommend using grippers or nubs on hard floors, as they can cause damage.

Solid chair mat

We are however sorry to hear that you are experiencing movement with your mat. The grippers on the Advantagemat are there to help prevent movement, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the mat will stay in place on all types of carpet. However, there are a couple of tips we could offer to help prevent the mat from moving: Re-measuring your carpet to ensure that the underlay and the carpet is up to ¼”. You can measure your carpet thickness using a paperclip or pin and pushing it through the carpet and underlay until it hits the subfloor, then measure the distance on the pin from the subfloor to the top of the carpet pile.
Ensure the chair mat is placed on carpeted floors rather than a loose weave rug as all gripper back mats may find it difficult to grip to rug piles.
If possible, reposition your chair mat so that the grippers are entering the carpet pile in a slightly different horizontal/vertical orientation. Making slight alterations on the mat position and alignment with the carpet pile may allow them to grip the carpet better for added stability. I was notified on the that date that it would be delayed and I would receive an email when it was in. I just went into that email (6/14) to track it and got an error message.
