It is so stiff it takes two people to unfold it and flatten it out. But heavy weights have to be place all around it to keep it from folding itself back up. Days and days of keeping it that way still will not stop it from folding itself back up when the weights are removed. In addition both sides are very slippery and not safe to walk on. Even my dogs cannot walk across it without slipping and sliding. I let it fold itself back up and threw it in the dumpster. $80 down the drain.

Thank you for your feedback on our Cleartex Advantagemat, we are very sorry to hear that you have experienced issues in unrolling your mat. We advise leaving the mat in a warm room for up to 72 hours with heavy objects such as books placed on each corner, following the unrolling advice the PVC material should have unrolled fully so we sincerely apologise this was not the case. In terms of the stability of this product, the mats surface has an orange-peel effect which is designed for added grip but still allows for easy gliding to help reduce strain to the lower back and legs. The smooth side of the mat should be facing downwards on your flooring.
