last machine I had (same model but few years old) I had to FIRMLY hold down edge of bag in machine of would not seal. With this machine much easier to use. like it much better.seals properly

I also bought an assortment of bags to go with it besides the variety that it comes with. Does not take up too much room on the counter and works as intended. Great purchase.

After a LOT of false starts and frustration, I finally watched the YouTube instructions, and figured out how to use the sealer. The instructions in the booklet have a couple of critical typos, that will result in failed seals if that's all you go by. Not a big fan of having to fire-up a video to use something this simple, but once the instructions were clear, it works like a charm!

I love this product; never thought I could save so much money and time from this product.

She wanted one to help us save from wasting the food we had bought from groceries each week. Within minutes she was using and loving it. It doesn't take to much space at all and I do like the dip tray for when it extracts the air and sometimes sucks out liquid too. Worth every penny so far!

This is a great food saver model, I had a fancier one, but this is better. It is compact enough to live in a cabinet, not using counter-top space. Because it is manual (you seal using a button), you can control the waste of bag material, unlike the automatic models that waste an inch of bag on each end. I bake a lot and particularly like the accessory feature because I can vacuum seal nuts, craisins, etc in Mason jars. The Mason jar attachment is not included but is well worth the money.

I have a stand up type and bought this one because it fits in a drawer and best of all it is manual, so I can cut to whatever size I want before sealing....This saves lots because the automatic ones use up a lot of plastic that is a total waste.

Love how easy it is to use my FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer. So far I've sealed pork chops and steak using the quart sized bags. No more freezer burn and waste of food for us.

bought another vacuum sealer for use in vacation home. Previous one I had to hold down very firmly to get good seal. this one doesn't require any real pressure to work. Like it a lot. highly recommend

I bought this item for my wife because she always wants to save food for longer periods of time without the food getting freezer burn. I'll speak on her behalf. She loves it. It's not bulky, its not in the way while being stored. And a great money saver.

Awesome vacuum sealer and easy to use; for the price its worth it. I use it all the time and it helps save money which is most important.

It is SO easy to use. Very compact. Easy getting in and out. food freezes without all the ice particles ! LOVE IT!

This is an okay food saver I do not think it has a strong enough vaccum. For as much as we use it the fact that it has no cutter isn't a big deal. If you do a lot not having a cutter is a pain.

Truly extends life of frozen foods. Easily by double the life but usually longer. No Freezer burn. Also, good for packing seasonings and herbs for camping and for long storage.

It seals perfectly, is light weight and easy to clean

I bought a base model food saver 10ish years ago and have had it all this time and it worked great. It finally was wimping out on me so I purchased this food saver as a replacement. This looks like the equivalent to the white one I had. However, it is not equivalent at all. I like the simplicity of the base model food saver but it did NOT work for any meats that contained extra water/moisture. I did my monthly shopping and spent #250 on meat which included steaks, hot dogs, lunch meat, chicken, etc. This food saver did okay with everything except the chicken and the lunch meat because they had extra juice/water. It couldn't suck the juice out of the bags. One other downfall of this model is that it no longer comes with the bag cutter built in to it like the previous model did. This is a pain because I had to keep scissors close by and cut the bags by hand instead of just pushing a button to cut the bag as it was sealing. This model seems like a down grade. I ended up returning it to best buy without a problem and got a refund. I still plan on buying another foodsaver but I will invest in a high model and hopefully those problems will be solved.
