Love this movie. Bought it to go along with a Robbie the Robot I got for a birthday present. Glad they had it in stock and came a day ahead of time.

This is the film that took a light year leap from all prior attempts at sic-fi stories in motion pictures. The film approached its subject with a logical story and as a totally believable adventure. A valid storyline is also enhanced with much improved special effects and sound. Forbidden Planet changed the genre and gave sic-fi movies a new standard for others to follow. Its concept was copied over and over again as the leader and innovator for its era that eventually led to the next generation for sci-fi that started with the classic "2001".

This movie has always been one of my favorite sci-fi movies. It’s suspenseful, doesn’t over do the evil that is present and introduces Robbie the robot and brings some laughter to the theme. Quality actors and pretty good special effects for its time!

This science fiction adaptation of Shakespeare's Tempest is the classic template used by a lot of modern science fiction. Enjoy it for the outstanding story telling and to understand where some of the narrative techniques come from.

I recently ordered and received the movie "Forbidden Planet." I enjoyed watching this movie and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good science fiction.

A futuristic tale from a classic play. Top flight camera work, script and players. It's a movie many films reflected on afterwards. The robot stole the film....yup

The picture was crystal clear and the sound was terrific. Great to have the closed captions.

This DVD arrived sooner than expected, and in good shape.

This is a classic 1956 Science Fiction Space opera. A 23rd century star ship reaches a distant planet to find out what happened to a past expedition that disappeared 20 years in the past. The plot is a loose adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest. Robbie the Robot steals the show as the main sub character, and will become the prototype for mechanical men of future films.

I enjoyed the re-mastered quality and colors of the film. For some reason I was expecting a B-team production. But it played well with respect to a good Star-Trek theme, and the cute 1950's vintage spacecraft was fun to behold rather than a negative distraction.

I love this movie. The quality for its time is so good. I still love it now and in 4K its great. The sound blows up on my new JBL 9.1 wireless system. The sound effects for the creature still freak out my adult kids!. A must for TRUE Sci-Fi fans.

This has always been one of my favorite's. The effects hold up well even by today's' standards, and the story is well written and thought provoking. This is before any of Leslie Nielsen's comedy movies, so it interesting to see him act in a serious role.

A real classic! Something about the retro scifi just can't be beat. Walter Pidgeon delivers as Dr. Morbius. Robbie the Robot is fantastic, who also figures in a "Thin Man" episode in Special Features.

I had this on Laserdisc way back when. The Blu-ray is fantastic. Warner Brothers has done a fine job restoring this classic. It has great color and sound.

This classic movie looks great upscaled to 1080 and looks especially nice on an OLED TV. The black levels look out of this world. I would definitely recommend this movie as it is a visual treat.

I purchased this to replace VHS tape. The quality of the Blu-Ray is great. This is one of the classics of Science Fiction.

The Blu-ray disc version of the movie is rendered beautifully on my TV. Considering that this is a 50's film the picture quality is really good. A gotta have classic for Sci-fi fans.
