First thing I did was charge my Foreo Luna 3 which appears to be identical to the one for women, the only difference is the women's one is pink in color. Once charged I linked it up with the companion app that helps with instructions on how to best use the Foreo Luna 3 to cleanse and massage your face.
Using the Foreo Luna 3 for the default 2 minute cleansing routines I found to be the least intrusive and best way to get used to using it.
The Luna 3 is 100% waterproof and leaving it in the shower is the best way to make sure I use it regularly.
The battery seems to last forever so time between charges will be long (they say 650 uses) so thats convenient.
Overall I like how my skin looks using some gentle exfoliating cream along with the Luna 3.
Just get it...youll be glad you did.

Out of the box, this seems like a hip/modern product. Great packaging that sells you on this being a premium item, much better than just some plastic shell. This is marketed as being “for men”, but really can be used for anyone, nothing about this sticks out as being needed to be used by a single gender. The included goodies are also puzzling as it comes with a USB charging cord, a couple samples of face wash/serum, and a pink carrying case… just a puzzling color choice for a product made for men.
I’ve had an electric face scrubber years ago so I was very interested to see how the technology has changed over the years by using this. I have to admit, I’m wildly unfamiliar with the FOREO brand but when my girlfriend saw this, she was beyond reasonably excited for me as apparently FOREO is a reputable brand.
Here is where I dock a star from them. This is YET ANOTHER electronic item that uses an app for setup and usage. I swear my phone now about one hundred apps, about ten I commonly use and the rest are for nonsense like this where you’re required to have an app to use but then pretty much never use the app again, even though I’d use the scrubber more if there wasn’t an app attached. Here’s why…
The app makes you login, share your details all that, and now I’m getting multiple emails a day from FOREO which is over the top for a premium item and how many emails do I need about a face scrubber. The app is largely used for setup, it allows you to program a mode where you elect how long you want to scrub each section of your face. It breaks the face down into top, bottom, left and right, and you select the duration you want each scrubbed and the intensity. This is fine in practice but without even using the scrubber yet I have no idea what I want the time or intensity set to so you’ll have a lot of trial and error up front in establishing the one mode you get to use.
One your pre-set, customized mode is activated, it’s the only mode you can use until you go back to the app and change it. Having a couple pre-set options would’ve been helpful. The app also has preset “massages” on it where you can elect a massage that lasts a couple minutes and the device will walk you through which area to rub your face as it vibrates. This is fine in practice but seeing as the device is waterproof and I keep it in my shower, past the testing phase I’m never using this feature. There’s no desire to go fetch my phone while I’m showering to do a facial massage, nor while I’m not showering to go to the bathroom and fetch this for a 1-2 minute massage that doesn’t even feel great.
Using the device as a facial scrubber is where it shines. The grip is easy to hold even while wet in the shower and I’ve always felt like I’m getting a better clean than using my fingers and less damaging than a washcloth. I have very sensitive skin and psoriasis but this hasn’t been an issue to use. If anything, maybe a placebo effect, maybe not, I’ve felt it makes my skin look better and younger. As a result of use, my skin just looks tighter, but science shows that it should as massages/vibrations draw blood to the area of impact and if you’re drawing more blood to your face/head it’ll naturally appear this way, it’s not ground breaking science.
All in all, the effects of use are where this device shines but the puzzling carrying bag and mandatory app with spam emails are where they fall short. Consider this when buying.

It seems that technology is being applied to more and more of our daily life needs and it is important because now we can enjoy products like this one that help you to take care of your skin in a simple and easy way for the user.
The unboxing is simple, although it seems to me that it is a lot of box and paper for a product of that size, but easy to open and find everything at hand, the device, manual and charger cable, a cream to clean the face and a small sachet with serum and a pouch. Once the device is charged for the first time it can be connected to our smartphone through the FOREO app, I think this is an important step because with the help of the app you can configure, based on your preferences, the massage time, intensity and choose a different setting for each area of the face, the app is very helpful you can learn more about the device and clean it too, plus the different instructions regarding the use of the product, it also offers the option to download pre-sets but it will depend on the needs of each person.
Regarding the performance I have no complaints, it is a device that fulfills its purpose, the material with which it is made feels very soft even using the maximum level, it is easy to wash and if used with the face cleanser of the same brand, which comes with a sample, the result is very satisfactory, the skin feels soft, clean and fresh, definitely something that can be added to the day to day routine.
The battery promises to last several months, I have not been able to check it yet but for the time required to use it in a session, I can understand that the battery will last a long time, anyway to charge the device is something very simple, it comes with a pouch where you can store it to prevent it from being exposed to the open air, In short, it is a very easy product to use and synchronize with the phone through the app, has a battery that lasts a long time and when finished using just wash, dry and store, I can recommend this product to all men who want to take care of the skin of your face without much complication.

As someone who is in my early 40s and still suffers with occasional acne, and oily and simply subpar skin on my face, I'm willing to give aything a try to get my skin back in shape.
Enter - Forero Luna 3. An interesting little device that to me at first glance looks like a mitten or like a small bluetooth speaker. The device stand about 3.5 inches tall and has a purplish light at the bottom. As with a lot of things these days, it's app connected and you can't use this without the app - you must register the device with the app before you can get anything out of this device.
The app setup was fairly painless, and supported major identity providers for quick setup (I believe the list included Facebook, Google, Apple, and of course - create your own local account with them using your email.). Once you set up the device, with the app - you can either use it in tandem with the app or you can use the device independently with the settings you programmed. The big thing you program with the device is the force at which the device vibrates and the duration for each section of your face.
he app divided your face into four parts (Roughly - forehead and nose, each cheek, and your chin/neck area.) I started with 10 seconds for each section and I set the intensity to 4. The first time I used the device, I think I may have been pressing too hard - you somewhat have to have the silicone bristles make contact with your face, but not press down hard enough that the body of the unit is in contact with your face. The Luna 3 started with my forehead/nose area for 10 seconds and then it makes a pulse in the vibrations to let you know it's time to move to the next part of your face. The process repeats until it's covered all four sections of your face. Since then, I have not found the need to use thse app much, as the device remembers your preferneces so you can simply grab it and go about your daily cleansing routine. You do need the app to reprogram the routine though.
So far, I've been using this for about a week, and I use it in the shower after my daily shave with my regular Acne clenser. As a man, it's sometimes tough to gauge any type of change on our faces with what we put them through on a regular basis - including shaving. Using the machine does feel good, and I do feel that my face feels less oily overall with the acne cleanser I use with it - almost like this devices opens up your facial pores and your cleanser can do its job a bit better. I'm not a dermatoligst, so take that with a grain of salt.
I'm going to stick with this though as if nothing else, it feels good on your face.
Included in the box is the device, a carrying pouch (Gentlemen - the one that came with my device is pink), a USB Charging cable, and a sample of their facial serum. I have not tried the facial serum - as I'm really trying to get a gauge as to how it works with my acne cleanser.
Overall, its an interesting little device that I do like, however it is a bit spendy for what you get. The app functionality is interesting and does make the cleansing routine easier to set up, but I suspect a bit of complication could have been left out and the device could be about half of the price. However, you can't put a price on good looking skin and this is where I hope this thing is taking me!

I initially thought the Foreo Luna 3 would be more of a brush style device like those spinning facial brushes marketed to women. When I unboxed it, I really liked the soft touch silicone/rubberized feel of the device and the 'bristles.' Out of the box and pairing to the Foreo app was very easy and provides some really useful tips for how to make the most out of the product. For example, at first glance you might think the ridges along the 'back' are just to maintain extra grip - it turns out, these are by design to help when using the Luna 3 for facial massage purposes.
The app has several 'routines' for tightening face and neck areas as well as settings to adjust for the 60 second mode you can use without the app being on. Over the last two weeks, I've found that while the app itself does provide some extra value in terms of "more than you thought it could do," I really find the Luna 3 most useful for the simple 60 second cleansing cycle every morning and sometimes at night. I have a full beard which I keep 'clean' around the edges with a razor and trimmed neatly, and I found the Luna 3 really helps my beard feel soft and 'under control' when I use the Luna 3 to scrub in some beard cleanser in addition to using it to clean the rest of my face. I also get a great shave with the Luna 3 - it does a good job of softening my stubble and getting it to stand up without needing a harsh exfoliating scrub. I've noticed a lot less irritation after shaving since I started using the device.
If, like me, you aren't one to have a complex skin care routine already, the Luna 3 and the app make it easier to improve the look and feel of your skin and facial hair without having to scour Youtube for tips.

I’m like most guys when it comes to washing our faces. A bit of soap and water, warm if we’re willing to wait for it to reach the faucet or we’re in the shower. Once in a while, I squirt a bit of store-brand facial scrub in my hands and give the face a once-over. So, when I got the chance to review the Foreo Luna 3 for men, I thought…why not. The box contains the unit, a pretty pink tote (for guys???) to keep it in, cleansing cream and a packet of serum, and a USB/A to proprietary plug to charge it with. It doesn’t come with a 110v power adapter, so buyers will need to have one lying around.
I charged the unit and set off to try it out. I downloaded the Android app for Foreo and fired it up. It found the unit and there were 4 routines I could download. I downloaded those too and tried them out. They last just a few minutes, and the app controls the unit. At the same time, the app has a visual instructor showing you what to do. It’s a bit clunky, as the unit’s timing is set and you’re learning the steps. It may get smoother with repetition, but the speed changes between movements, and sometimes I am not ready to go on to the next step. Anyway, even with the awkwardness, it does a great job at cleansing my face. I’ve never had it feel this clean. Usually, with any product, it feels like a film is on the skin, but not tonight. I felt like it stripped off all the grime.
Lastly, it seemed easy to clean. Just rinse with warm water, but then I saw the charge port and wondered if that should get wet. I just kept it dry as best as possible. Oh, and it has 16 intensities, but I haven’t figured out how to tell which one I’m on. Again, that will probably get figured out with use.
It is a bit pricey, but I’d recommend it to any guy looking to do a better job at keeping our faces clean and hopefully a youthful appearance as long as possible.

I was interested to try this product to see how it provided a better solution for face cleaning than a towel and soap could provide. I work out 60-90 minutes per day so I end up sweating ALOT. It's touch to keep my skin clean and not have the pimples that come from the sweat. I have found the Luna to be a great option. Its definitely more comfortable than a washcloth. It also seems to clean more completely. The only downside is the price. However, if you have issues with face blemishes, this definitely a worthy investment.

Foreo Luna 3 is the first skin care device I have ever used. And to be honest, I questioned the price for a facial massager at first. However, after using the product almost consistently for more than a week (with my wife constantly reminding me), I can see some visible results. So yes, it is not an overpriced electric sponge - it does what it says.
The build quality is very good, and the black silicone construction, while feels soft to the touch, is very durable. It conveys the idea that this will do fine in water and in shower. I have been using my regular facial cleanser with this (I haven’t tried the included micro-foaming cleaning sample), and as long as I can have some lather it works fine. The set time for each zone of the face is a helpful guide, and the noticeable pulse to remind me to change position is great. The back can be used as a facial massager as per Foreo, but I haven’t tried it much.
The Luna 3 came with a USB charging cable and a travel pouch, and some sample serum and cleanser were also given. A companion app can be used to control/set it up via smartphone over Bluetooth. Interestingly, the product needs to be “activated” via app at the very first, but I have no idea why they had to make this mandatory. I’d rate this as an inconvenience.
In summary, if you’re willing to spend some money to get a better and guided face cleaning experience, the Foreo will not disappoint. I will continue to use it everyday as I have been getting good outcomes.

This thing is expensive for something that helps scrub your face, but if you get past that, it's really comfortable and effective. For a guy, I've had a longtime habit of washing and scrubbing my face daily. After the first use, I could tell this little device would quickly replace my facecloth.
It's pretty simple: I put a small amount of face cleanser on the Foreo, turn it on, and let it work around. It's a pleasurable face massage and I can feel it scrubbing away. I also like that the surface is easy to keep clean and help prevent the accumulation of bacteria.
The Foreo has a timer that works perfectly for my morning routine. There's also an app (of course). You don't really need it for daily use, but it's useful for changing some basic settings.

The Foreo - Luna 3 for men is an outstanding device for skin care. The massaging function feels great on your skin. I feel like it is working out any remaining build up and always leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed like never before.
It's easy to hold in you hand and does not slip when wet thanks to the texture of the shell. The Foreo - Luna 3 just makes your facial cleaning routing more complete.
The battery life is very good. Lasts for hours without the need to recharge.

Amazing face cleaning product. I've always associated this kind of thing with women. However, this product is definitely changed. My mind. Easy to use. Got a cool app that goes with it. I think that's only for the one of threes because the Luna 2 box for my lady didn't have the app on it. Definitely cool. Definitely recommend getting one.

This is a pretty neat device. I'm a little concerned about the price to value ratio, but it does seem to make me a little more conscious about my routine at shower time. The nubs do get between facial hair to help clean the skin underneath. There's an app to help you use it, but I quite honestly, don't see the value of the app, maybe because it's not as intuitive (to me) as I'm used to.

I have struggled with my face my whole life (30+YOF), and yes i like many, have tried it all! This is one of the very few things that i have a “noticable differance” from just washing my face, to washing with a tool. I’m keeping mine and getting one for my husband and our 15 yo.

A vibrating piece of silicon on your face

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
As a part of the Best Buy Technical Insider Network, I received a unit of the FOREO LUNA 3 for Men (black) in exchange for an honest review -- and an honest review you're going to get.
I rated this device at one star for a few reasons; outside of what I'm about to write, one could honestly have given this maybe three stars, but that would be it.
I'm going to start off with a comparison. Do you know how you can get a toothbrush as either a manual device or as an electric one, where the only real difference is how much the head vibrates in your mouth? That's pretty much my initial and continued impression of this device.
To be blunt, you could get the same effect on your face (or body) by sticking something that vibrates inside of a washcloth or other material and you'd get the same effect. For some reason I thought there'd be more to it (even with a fancy cleanser), but that's honestly about all there is.
But why only one star? Here are the reasons.
First, the device is double-packed within hard plastic, albeit covered in a pretty box that you'd expect to see in a big box store's perfume section. I don't have a problem with looks, but I opened the box (pretty easily), and then opened a bag that contained the device (again, rather easily), I saw that the device was literally encased in a hard plastic container that took a bit of figuring out how to open it.
Strike one, as even cleanliness isn't going to cut it as a rationale for the packing process -- anyone will wipe down the device before using it anyway.
Secondly, and this is big. While it's not a big deal that you have to use your iPhone (or Android, presumably) to "activate" the device, the app literally will stop you from using the device unless you register -- replete with pic -- before it goes forward. Not only this, if you don't register, it renders the process moot.
Of course, what do I do as a Best Buy TIN member with no actual receipt? I admittedly made up a "receipt" by taking a picture of one of the inserts in the box -- and the app took this as a legitimate registration. Very odd.
As far as build quality is concerned, I'll readily admit that the FOREO appears to be well-built. But since I couldn't get better results from wiping my face with a washcloth, I didn't go any further with my testing.
Personally, I don't recommend the product because I think there are cheaper, already-at-home alternatives that anyone could use to achieve the same level of cleansing.
