Would prefer the cars race side by side. It's difficult to know the car's position relative to each other.

I have been a car nut my whole life, and started playing racers with Gran Tourismo 1 on the old Playstation 1. When the Forza franchise came out on xBox it really gave GT a run for the money, especially after Forza 3 was released. As a 'completionist', I miss the licensing process from GT that was required to advance in career mode. I understand that Forza wanted to eliminate that process to open up the tracks to the beginning or casual racer; but as a racing perfectionist, I miss it. However, it will not keep my from giving this game top marks in every category. Graphically, the game is just amazing. Even on my old 50" rear projection, 4-3 aspect ratio TV that has only external HD capability; people walking into the room think that the replay's are live action races. The career mode is great, the tracks are great, and the addition of the guys from Top Gear make this game a gear heads dream come true.

If your familiar with the Forza games, you'll know its a much more realistic driving experience than any other, but with this newest version you get way better graphics, tons more tracks and layouts to race, way more cars including some of the most popular muscle cars and supercars, and more challanges and driving skills tests than before. Its much easier to trick out your cars when you race them frequently, with each level of performance offering a much larger discount on that manufacturer's line, ultimatly reaching free for all mods on that brand! If your new to racing games, this is the best one to start on!

The '4S' of the Forza World

Forza 4 offers motorsport fans an amazing upgrade with this release. Improving graphics through advanced shading, gameplay through a higher level of realism and simulation, and experience through more robust audio and special features, Turn 10 has given us a great addition to a great franchise.
Even so, the upgrade feels like a stepping stone towards a greater goal. This is where I compare F4 for Apple's 4S. It looks similar, feels similar, but yet it's guts are different. Faster, smarter, and more fun than it's predecesor. Forza 4 does not offer weather changes, it does not give you many more track choices than in F3 (how can you NOT include Mid-Ohio for American tracks?!), and the Kintect feature is really more gimmick than useful.
That being said, F4 is a great addition to your game collection, especially if you love motorsports!

The most realistic racing game there is. Graphics are amazing. Controls are spot on. (If you didn't make the curve, it's you, not the game!) The possibilities of your vehicle collection are endless. So many options/upgrades. Great selection of cars. Tons of tracks. Haven't been this impressed with a racing game since GT the original. Can't recommend it enough.

I have every Forza and each one is an improvement over its predessor, this one is no different. But there are also a few things I was dissapointed with.
Pros:
The graphics are spectacular
Cars handle better and sound more realistic
Jeremy Clarkson is a beast
Cons:
I found the car list to be very dissapointing. There are so many new cars missing. For example they're still using the '05 Mustang, I really want the '11 5.0! Also there is no Porsche in this game. It's RUF and there is only one car.
Overall the game is worth the money, hopefully they will add new cars to download.

This by far is one of the best racing game I have played. The graphics on my plasma tv look so real and sounds amazing. This is a great game to play and a lot of fun to play on the Top Gear track.

Probably the best racing sim for any console

I used to be a big fan of the Gran Turismo series but Forza Motorsport 4 is hands down the best racing sim I've played on any console. Key features that I like:
1. Career mode
2. Car auctions
3. Affinity and experience leveling system
4. Selection of cars to choose from
5. General appearance of the game and it's menus
6. Helpful "new item unlock" indicators where applicable in the menus
I could go on but these are the main reasons why this game is so great for me. I could spend hours customizing and painting my cars alone. There is so much to do besides racing!

Awesome Racing, Career and Online

This is what a racing/motorsports game should be. It's got a great career mode, it's got a TON of cars, it's got customizability and it's got a great setup for online racing.
The graphics are great, the audio is decent for a racing game and the gameplay is great even with a controller (haven't tried with a steering wheel or Kinect yet).
The ONLY gripe I may have after about 10 hours of game play is that there may be TOO MANY cars in this game. :) I am working on a career and I keep getting more and more new cars every time I level up but I am still trying to complete a series with the car I am driving now. I'll have to go back and explore the other cars later. :)

A classic that should be fun for any racing fan! Lots of cars to choose from, great graphics and sound.. especially the sound. This games gets compared to Gran Turismo a lot, and while I love both, Forza wins in the sound category. The tracks are great, soundtrack isn't bad, cars are all differentiated well. My only gripe is I have to buy a bonus pack for Porsche cars.. come on man!

The best FORZA yet...

This game has gotten some tough criticism for its arcade feel and kinect compatibility. The truth is, if you want a more realistic game, all you have to do is tweak the difficulty.
With the steering set on normal its immediately playable for people of all skill levels. It feels familiar and intuitive, and at the same time is forgiving enough for intermediate drivers. If its set to simulation the game changes completely. Add head tracking and a steering wheel and all of a sudden you are in the most immersive racing experience you have ever had in your home.
Not everything is perfect, the upgrade system and aftermarket rims are largely unchanged and feel dated. The online games feel like they take too long to get started, and I personally feel like there are some lag issues that I would love to see resolved.
What you get with Forza is a great game. The graphics are great, the information you get about the cars and tracks is a great addition, and the Top Gear races are a treat. The game allows you to play both a hardcore racing simulator and a very fun Kinect based arcade game. The changes to the credit system will allow you to buy and drive the cars you want, not just the cars you need. Car clubs allow you to share cars for events, online, or career mode. Overall its a nice balance of new features and refined old ones.
Some of Forza feels dated, but in the larger picture those things are not important. For now I will spend more time focusing on the new cars, the new scenery, the crazy feeling of speed I get as the camera bobs and weaves with my head movement, and if I dont get to put new flashy rims on my car I may soon forget that as I scream along a mountainside road at speeds that would whiten Chuck Norris' knuckes.

I have Forza 2 and Forza 3. This one is just the icing on the cake. The graphics aren't all that much better than Forza3, but how could they get much better? The game play is a little more friendly on this version though, lots more cars, lots more tracks.. Well worth the purchase.
