Very good game, there are 100s and 100s of cars to buy, upgrade, and race, multiplayer is not the best, but if you have alot of credits(in game $s to buy cars with) you should go to the auction house in multiplayer to get great deals on cars that cost alot! Very fun, very realistic for a game, Good fun!

This game incorporates both a realistic and fun experience. The graphics are stunning and the audio is heart pumping. There are many different tweaks that can be performed on the car from tire air pressure to color to horsepower. The manufacturer selection is vast and there are many cars. Highly recommend to any one.

Amazing; but only a little bit better than Forza 3

This game is great, it has all of the bells and whistles you've come to expect from the franchise. It vastly improves upon a few things from Forza 3 that show real effort and polish that went into it. I highly recommend it if you're into simulation racing games; it's the cream of the cream.
Some people might be disappointed, however, if paying full price and expecting something drastically different from Forza 3. So, if you're tight on cash, wait for a used copy or a black-friday / cyber-monday deal and keep playing your copy of F3.

We played this for hours and hours competing one on one with the same make and model car. No matter how hard I tried I always lost but that might be because I am a video game rookie. Give me a few months of practice and hopefully I will have better luck. Lots of different cars and tracks to choose from, great graphics, sound and hours of fun.

Forza Motorsport 4

Forza Motorsport 4, how is it? In one word: Fantastic. It delivers a fantastic experience between being able to select from nearly 1000 cars, to being able to drive one of those cars on the 80 tracks in the game. You can customize your car beyond belief. If you want a basic 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air you got it, or if you want a rainbow colored Ferrari 458 Italia that says " HEY JOE" on the back of it, you can get that too. However, like every game it does have it's down points. Engine sounds can get repetitive. As I like to say "My '69 Camaro doesn't sound like my !@#$ing Corvette". And not only are the repetitive, they are terrible. You don't have that nice low rumble of a V8 at idle, and you don't get that classic Ferrari exhaust note, on any Ferrari. The Handling is also a key down point to the game. If you though you could take a corner at 30 M.P.H. with a Corvette ZR1, oh no you are wrong. You don't truly get any amount of suffice handling until you start to drive GT2 or GT2 class race cars. Now don't let those two key factors turn you away from this game. Forza is a fantastic game, that has given me literally hundreds of hours of fun, over the past year. And I would strongly recommend it over any of the Forza games, unless it Forza Horizon, but you can't truly compare the two because Horizon is a free roam, where as Forza Motorsport 4 is all on race tracks found across the globe.

Bought the Xbox360 for my daughter, and this was the first game we bought for it. I'm not a video game fan, but this game blew me away. Good graphics, good sound. Would highly recommend.

Review From a Racer

Forza has always been a step above in realistic handling physics, and Forza 4 is no exception. I race cars myself and have won karting and sports car championships, have done driving instruction for racing schools and SCCA, and worked professionally in the sport for a long time, so I have a lot to compare a game like this to on a "how close to real is it" stand point. I race a VW Rabbit in SCCA right now, and have used the Rabbit in the game to test setups, and the results on a macro level have been pretty close to correct. The one area where Forza 4 gets it as wrong as any game ever has is in longitudinal tire grip. Apparently, a Rabbit, acording to Forza, has enough power to roast the tires off the starting line for 50 yards and 2 gears. Um, no. I did a "burnout" in my Rabit after I won the title in 2010 and my black marks were all of 4 feet long. With sticky racing tires, there is no way that any of these cars are doing big burnouts like in the game. This problem transfers to trying to accelerate out of corners, and to braking. I don't know why programers think that a game isn't "real" if the brakes don't lock up instantly as soon as you touch the pedal, but it's just not accurate. I am very hard on my brakes, and with non-racing tires I can get some initial lockup, but then can release just a hint of pressure and get them back. In the game, once you've driven in deep and jumped on the brakes, if you get lockup you might as well just press the rewind button because you are going off the track. Being a good racecar driver means being great on the brakes, and this game doesn't give you the opportunity to do it, so until they can get that fixed, this is really an incomplete game. The feel of racing tires is like stretching a rubber band--it's all about stretching it to right before it breaks, but you can feel it tighten up and start to stretch the fibers just before the fail point. On corner exit and acceleration, you feather the throttle on to either push the front tires so they are breaking traction right to the edge of the track but not off, or that the rear tires are just on the edge between pushing forward or bringing the car around. And under braking, you are balancing right on the edge of lockup with the ability to cross over and bring it back at will, and easing off the brake at the moment necesary to start turning in for the corner, sometimes even trail-braking to keep load on the front tires. You might miss your line by 2 or 3 feet, but not by 50 like in the game. For all of the work they do to mke a racing sim, they are short of their goal until they can get longitudinal grip right. The new Pirelli tire modeling numbers they used has you affraid to touch the throttle even in fourth gear at 80 mph in a car with 600 HP, which with sticky racing tires just isn't a problem in real life. It also throws the handling physics into a fit if the car gets sideways with wheel spin--in real life you can feather the throttle under wheel spin and keep the rear end underneath you, but in the game the car will just start tank-slapping until the car and the physics settle into a "normal" condition. Now to the good, which is litterally everything else about the game. Adding more real race tracks and getting rid of fake and boring tracks like New York is the step they need to continue to keep moving the game to the next level. The track modeling with bumps and pavement charachteristics is very accurate. It realy turns more in to a true sim with every new release. The best of the additions is the head tracking, which is the game changer for all racing games to come. I turn the sensitivity to the max, and my natural head lean is picked up and allows me to look through the corner for the exit line like no other game has ever captured. This is key when trying to find the point to accelerate, because the moment you start accelerating, the car is going to start moving towards the outside of the track. If you can't see the outside of the track at exit, you are just guessing. Now, with head tracking, coming out of (what used to be) the last turn at Silverstone, you can look to the right and find the outside curb to see exactly when you can pick up the throttle. Just awesome, and it makes my other favorite racing games seem lacking without it. Despite my complaints, I highly recommend this game, and with the wheel controller and assists turned off, nothing will get you closer to being on track and perfeting your reflexes and feel. Congrats, Forza, on a great edition of the game. Now back to work to get better for the next one.

Forza 4 definitely beats Forza 3 and easily surpasses GT5. I was a little concerned that it would basically just be a more like an add-on to Forza 3, but Turn 10 has greatly improved it this time around.
Graphics - both vehicles and the track environments - are amazingly clear and very detailed. go race on the swiss alps mountain track to see! And the cars look brilliant too. Although the in-game audio is dull, the engine sounds are captured well - even cars that sound exotic in real life (Ferrari, Lamborghini) sound amazing in a video game....especially using something other than the built-in TV speakers
The Autovista is a cool feature - the cars almost look life-like, and its probably about the closest you'll ever be able to get to sitting in the drivers seat of a 250 Testa Rosta, a Veyron 16.4, and other exotics.
There career mode is LONG! I've raced for a total of about 4hrs and the statistics said i was 3% done career mode. So you definitely get PLENTY of playtime for your money.
Only gripe i have is that although they added a couple new race events such as Top Gear challenges, the tracks are pretty much carried over from Forza 3 (with the addition of a couple new ones). Even though they look better this time around, i still would have liked to see greater track variety...

I did not purchase Forza Motorsport 3. I felt like every single one of my friends said it was the same as Forza Motorsport. I than purchased Forza Motorsport 4 and was amazed at the graphics change from 2.
I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the number of cars they had added. A new setting they added is Autovista, you can look inside some of the cars and test drive them.

The graphics on this game are unbelievable! It makes you feel like you're really in race. There are several race courses to choose from, as well, so you don't get tired doing the same course over and over. Great buy!

Forza motor sports is back with a vengeance in their most recent release. As far as game play goes it's everything Forza 3 was and more. If I had to say anything bad about this game which is hard to do I'd say it could have used some more new tracks and a better online ranking system. None the less it'll easily be the best racer of the year.

After seeing this game in an episode of the *LAME* Ameican version of Top Gear featuring Tanner Faust and this game I just HAD to own it. In fact I bought an XBOX just so I COULD own the game.
Nothing I dont like about it other than the fact it makes me hate getting into my truck after driving something like a Ferrrari because, as much as I try, my truck just cant hit the same speeds and handle corners as well as the Ferarri.

This game is good for people who enjoy playing sports on any console. I, personally, didn't like the storyline of this game because it has no definite ending and you can race all of the cars in free mode already, so there is really no point in playing the career mode. This game has good graphics and can be a challenging game if put on the right settings, but like I said before, if you don't like sports on a console, don't get this game.

Another graphics-centric edition of Forza

I've had every iteration of Forza Motorsport so far, and I always expect something new and exciting from each new version, however I may have to eliminate that expectation for future releases.
I don't want to sound all down and "bah humbug" about Forza 4, I do enjoy the casual arcade-like environment of driving around with a few of my friends, and I have yet to find another game that has created the excitement and intensity that can come from the Forza Motorsport series' multiplayer. However, the single-player portion of the game, which I feel is part of the whole "Forza experience", is starting to shift from some fun races to burn some free time to something more like a job.
Racing games tend to suffer from repetition, and Forza is no exception, in fact you're almost beaten over the head with the same stuff over and over. If Turn10 would spend more time on the computer-controlled AI in the single-player (and multiplayer, too, if you like), then the single-player "World Tour" may be more exciting. Instead, you're stuck with the same, almost scripted, AI that wind up getting in a line and riding around, with almost no indication that they're aware the player is on the track as well.
The Forza Motorsport developers should start to look in places other than the graphics and audio of the game, and start focusing on the gameplay aspect as well. The graphics are probably as good as they're going to get, but the gameplay itself is not much different than Forza 2. I would hope that they're not going down the "COD Path" of releasing the same game over and over with only some graphical updates, but it's starting to seem like that is where this series is headed.
TL;DR? If you're looking for a driving game to tool around with some friends, it can't be beaten. If you're looking for something super-realistic that will immerse yourself in the world of motorsport, you'll have to get away from the console.
