someone finally moved Frankenstein into the 21st century and it's a nice tribute to the old classic tale of our favorite man made monster

I had high expectations, for the movie It had Donald Sutherland in it and ,it was very slow paced ,I felt that it dragged on for too long , enjoyed mary shellys Frankenstein much better with Robert dinero

My kids have to read Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. After reading the book we like to watch the movie. This is the closest movie I have found to the book.

I am a high school English teacher. I try to show film versions of a few of the novels we read in class. This version is one of the most faithful film versions of Shelley's novel I have seen. The acting is a little cheesey, but it does cover the novel pretty accurately. Its length is its drawback. It is 204 minutes long, so if you are a teacher with time constraints, edits may be required. If you are a stckler for novel to film accuracy, you'll like it. If you do want to show it to students, especially HS students, the content is fine, no language or nudity, and only minor, non-graphic violence.
