One of the best children's movies in recent memory for sure. The stop motion is charming and the decision to have it made in black and white was for the best. Tim Burton's signature style is latent throughout the entirety of the run time and with that comes odd character models and scary looking creatures that play off of the classic Frankenstein narrative. It touches on the death of a beloved pet and well that's a heavy subject to get across to kids, but it does it a way that should help young children understand what it is without frightening them (the scares come from the creatures). A real cute watch if looking for a more unorthodox movie to show the young ones.

Love the animation and I like the fan theory it connects to two other Tim Burton films.

Great Halloween movie. Happy, Sad, and every emotion in between. Some parts could be upsetting to a child regarding the dog...If you like Tim Burton, its a great addition to your collection.

There's an original live action version of Frankenweenie. It's...fine. But I feel the animate version REALLY added a new layer that made the movie twice as good! Absolutely loved it.

Tim Burton's animated movie looks & sounds great on Blu-Ray, as is to be expected from a Disney release. This is entertainment suitable for the whole family.

I did not get to see Frankenweenie in theaters, so the bluray was my first time seeing the film. A great, touchy, morbid, but fun story told through the continued evolution of Tim Burton's style of stop animation, which has never looked better. I love the decision to keep the film black and white, just like the original live action short. This decision really adds to the overall look and feel of the film. While not as great as say Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie is worth adding to your library. For those who love animation, particularly stop-animation, it's really cool to watch this after Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, and Corpse Bride to see how far the art form has evolved.

This movie is cute. Although some people can't handle black and white stuff, I'm assuming because people are afraid of the dark or something. It's cute except for the fact the dog *Spoiler Alert* basically dies twice. Thanks a lot, kid. The dog already got hit by a car once and then you had to bring him back again to have him die again. But it turns out okay at the end. Yay!

Note that there are two versions of Frankenweenie, but both are included in the blu-ray disk. There are a few extras such as a new short, but the film Tim Burton made just prior, Vincent, should have been included.

In 1984, a young Tim Burton shot a 30 minute short that played homage to the classic FRANKENSTEIN films of the 1930s. 28 years later, Burton revisited that film in the form of a stop motion effort. With a voice cast boasting such luminaries as Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, Winona Ryder, Frank Welker, Conchata Ferrell, Tom Kenny and even Christopher Lee, this heart warming and sometimes heartbreaking film is a delight. As a bonus, the original short is included.

Tim Burton at his most creative and his funniest. A clever rendition of a boy-and-his-dog story combined with Mary Shelley's thriller. The ending seems a little too outrageous and beyond belief.

Frankenweenie is a fun story and the stop motion animation is classic Tim Burton. My only gripe with the film is that the characters aren't nearly as unique as in most of Burton's films. And the fact that some of the models used in the film appear to be pulled and reused from Corpse Bride didn't sell me as this being a unique film. Still the blu-ray transfer is nicely done and the audio is really fun to listen to.

I was surprised by this movie. My wife and children really wanted to see this so we picked it up. I thought is was going to be a blah Tim Burton movie and really was not looking forward to it, but I was surprisingly wrong. I think I enjoyed this as much as my family did. The story was good, the animation was good. If you're a fan of Tim Burton or animated Halloween movies, you probably will like this one too.

FrankenWeenie, a film by Tim Burton, is indeed heart warming and it jerked quite a flow of tears at the end. Oh my, this film is well done! The stop-action puppets and the extreme detail to the sets and props is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie on Blu-ray.

A great movie got for my daughter for Christmas she loves Tim Burton movies so she is getting them all this year. I love watching them all as well. Great present for all ages.

I enjoy this movie more than I enjoy working, cleaning, driving, sneezing, coughing, waiting. It's a great movie with a nice look and simple story about a boy bringing his dead dog back to life. I think most people who would watch this movie already know about Tim Burton productions. So if you're a fan of Burton and haven't watched Frankenweenie yet then give it a watch.

Tim Burton always does good movies. I have loved his films since Beetlejuice. I have watched all his films since then. This one is just as good. I love the animation. It adds to the story. You won't be disappointed if you are a Tim Burton fan.

It is the final realization of Tim Burton's dream for over 25 years... I remember seeing the original Live-Action short on VHS years ago. Now the technology and money and power have all come together to make a great film. Fun for the whole family and so well done.
