Hooked it up with my Home WiFi and all the apps popped up. Picture is very good from edge to edge. Streams without flickering or buffering. There are no channel numbers on the remote. You select channels by selecting input source through your web connection. A bit of a change in expectations. Still sorting it out. I can watch cable TV through cable source but would need to upgrade tv box to HD which will cost more per month or try Sling TV at a monthly subscription. All the video streamed directly off the web appears to be 1080p HD while cable is 720p. Offsetting increases in either choice of Sling or cable. Third choice is to go all in with Streaming directly off the web. Great for movies and shows. May not be as convenient as cable. Lots to figure out but the picture is very good.

    Great, but some issues

The product works well but it's true effectiveness depends on a few, after you buy it and get it home, issues. The battery takes a long time to charge (24 hours), hard wirring it to the old door bell takes some creative manipulation, and the effectiveness of the system depends on how well your Wi-Fi is broadcasting through your cinder brick wall. Once you get through all of this it works great, as advertised. Also, you will now become aware of how much traffic is going in and out of the front door.... saying hello to the neighbor, getting the paper, letting the dog out, letting the dog in, going to get the mail, coming back from the mail, etc. Every time you pass by the Ring device it broadcast and records your movement, it doesn't just notify you of the bad guys.

I really like the TV and processing power that allows for even older shows to look good.. My biggest issue is that it is not as smart as the QLED.. the QLED when plugged in automatically recognized everything connected to it and auto powers them on and off. This Sony only recognized DirecTV and Amazon FireTV but can only control via IR extender which I understand from a remote feature for added functionality but it should at least be able to power on the device via HDMI. My Xbox can power on the AMP and the TV and set correct input but the TV can't do it on it's own. I called and worked with Best Buy and then Sony and none of them could get the Bravio to recognize Xbox was even there. I have since got the Harmony remote and that has made life easier and smarter.

    Another great Sharp TV

This is our third Sharp TV . The first one was 7 years old and working fine when we gave it away and bought a new one. Was time to upgrade to 1080p. That one was almost 10 years old and still had a beautiful picture but since our (not built in) Roku box was starting to get flaky, what a great reason to upgrade to a 4K TV. Brought home the 43” Sharp Roku TV. Our previous Sharp had a 40” screen which was fine for our small living room, but the 43” is awesome. I don’t know if there’s a difference in quality between this one and the two previous Sharp TVs, which were Aquos brand, but time will tell. This one has an incredible 4K picture and the smart TV features were really easy to set up. The only gripe I had against my previous Sharp was the sound, if there was a lot of bass, would occasionally rattle the speakers. Since we usually had the sound off and used the stereo this wasn’t a problem. One of the first things I noticed with the Roku TV was that it already sounds like surround sound! No speaker rattle! WooHoo! Another thing that influenced me to buy this unit was the fact that it included a Ethernet port. We can’t get reliable WiFi from our cable provider but with a built in port the smart features work perfectly. ON TOP OF ALL THAT: Two days after we bought the the TV I noticed on the Best Buy website that it was on sale for $100 less than I paid! I was more than a little steamed but I thought I would call Best Buy and see what they said. After a 5 minute conversation, I had a refund of $100 plus tax! Way to go Best Buy!

    long time to set up

We purchased this smart TV to replace an old 42 inch Hitachi TV (not smart at all..), We like the new LG smart TV, however it took a long time to set up. New updates had to be loaded for all streaming services as well as an LG app. The on screen instructions were somewhat confusing... took over one hour to complete set up. I'm an I/T manager working in the field for over 30 years.. set up was a bit challenging. The remote control buttons should be backlit. have to turn on light to see the remote buttons otherwise constantly pressing wrong buttons. This TV supports streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime. Color an hue are very good, no complaints. Overall, good value and serves the purpose of larger TV and supports streaming services we like.

Good Reason to cut my Cable provider service

If it is not because this app was included with the TV I have got, I wouldn't even know what was sling, I am paying a considerable price for my internet service, so it is logical that I have to take advantage of everything that the internet with a good bandwidth and speed can offer for the Apps. So I install this app in my TV, that is included for free for 3 months, and turns out that has all the cable channels I wanted, with excellent resolution and quality. And after the 3 months trial, is only for $25/m, Great reason to get rid of my cable service.

I have tried Sling on three separate occasions now; and while it has made improvements, it's still not as good as it's competitors. The biggest pro for Sling is price. Sling has two primary plans that are very budget friendly. Sorry, I'm not looking at their pricing sheet right this second, but I believe each one is $25/mo, or you can have both for $40. If you only need/want a little TV, then either of those plans, on their own, could be a good option for you. This pricing advantage only applies if you need/want only ONE of those plans. For my purposes, I would have needed to purchase both, making the price advantage a moot point. Hulu has just one live TV plan for $40/mo that offers so much more: 50 hour cloud dvr, a very well rounded station line up, a polished user interface, compelling add ons, plus all of the content that Hulu offers without their live TV service. On top of that, Sling has two deal breaking cons for me. The first is that I cannot add HBO through Sling. I could purchase it separately from HBO directly, but that's another bill and another app - no thank you. The second is their user interface. I know this is personal preference, but Sling's interface feels incomplete to me, almost like a Beta version. I have found Hulu to have best overall, and PS Vue has the best TV guide out of the ones I have tried. Having tried Sling and Hulu at the same time, I was able to make direct comparisons and ultimately chose Hulu. Hulu feels more complete and I get so much more for my money, plus I was able to add HBO. If sling were to change their pricing model, or offer more for the same money, or fix their dispute with HBO, or fix their user interface, then there would be something compelling for folks who need more than one of their $25/mo plans. Until those things happen though, Sling just doesn't cut it for people who like television.

This 65" TV replaces a non-smart 55" TCL bought 6-7 years ago. It costs $50 less than than the old 55" and is vastly superior in all regards except one -- that one being the remote. Using the old TV, the Go Back button allowed switching between two different channels or input sources. Since I also use the TV as a computer monitor I often do computer related tasks during TV commercials or switch to TV briefly while doing computer work. The Go Back button was one easy press to switch back and forth. The new TV's remote only allows the Go Back function for different TV channels, but not between differing input sources. I know this is a "First World Problem" but now it takes three different button presses to change from one input to another and then three more presses to return to the original source (assuming no mistakes are made). Standing close to the TV while watching 4K YouTube content shows amazing detail. The only picture complaint I have is that the local FOX affiliate broadcasts football games in 720P and I can easily see compression artifacts around players in long to medium distance shots. At 1080I the picture looks flawless. The color gamut and black levels at just fine for my well-lite but glare-free living room. Sound quality is good enough, but a home theater system or good quality sound bar is an improvement. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend this TV to anyone who is not a hardcore videophile.

Sling TV is a great service, it offers cable channels and TV to individuals who may otherwise not want to purchase a cable package from a local provider. Personally I find that the service is unnecessary, with apps like Hulu and Netflix out there I think it is redundant. However if you are somebody who likes Channel like the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, Etc... Then this may be something you are interested in. They offer high-quality streaming, adjustable picture quality, and multiple logins from various devices on the same account. You can also add premium channels like Starz, HBO, and other channels such as these. For the right person I'm sure it's a great product. Just not for me.

I am about a week into this TV. Setup was easy - albeit heavy with the Google agreements, accounts and tracking requests. Picture quality is very good. Two negatives I have at this point are the responsiveness of the remote and the ARC integration between it and my Bose Soundbar 300. The tv is very sluggish to respond to the remote and then 'catches up' all at once. The ARC integration fails often requiring me to unplug both the Sony and the Bose devices to re-initiate the handshake. Never had to do this with my Samsung tv so pretty sure its a Sony issue, not a Bose issue even though Bose has been super helpful working through different possible CEC and ARC settings to try to get the handshake to hold.
