I cut the cord by switching to Sling TV and it's a great value! Make sure to have fast internet service since it's a streaming app. All of the channels I watch for $40

I received this 30 day Sling TV streaming service for free when I upgraded to a smart tv. I took advantage and actually ended up keeping the service after free trial

It was fine, but I prefer just using roku or cable.

I cut the cord a long time ago, but received a free month-long trial of Sling with a new TV purchase. It worked out wonderfully because I activated it on the first day of the World Cup and cancelled it right after the final. I really wanted to like it more, but between having lost the habit of watching TV, and the fact that the internet-based delivery would often cause channels to take forever to load, I couldn't really justify keeping a paid subscription. They also split the channels in such a way that neither package was really what I was looking for, and wasn't interested in paying 70$ a month for mediocre performance. Glad I got to try it, thought!

Sling tv is great. there were a lot of mixed reviews online but we decided to try it out. No issues with the quality, or anything else. Very easy to manage.

I just "cut the cord" around the first of this month, purchased a (TCL - 49" Class - LED - 4 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR Roku TV), which I just love! As part of the purchase, I received a 30-day free trial of Sling. So far I love to watch my favorite programs that I used to watch on cable TV. I probably will go a full 3 weeks before making a final decision to continue on, or not. The $25 or $40/mo seems a bit steep when considering there are other programs that are of interest that I do not see on Sling. I'm not a sports fan other than golf and I do not see a golf channel on here. The decision to continue on is still a ways off.

Great service at the store and the delivery was OK with the exception of the 75" TV not being delivered. Mistake on the part of the 3rd party delivery company. There is an issue with the Directv Now app on each of the TV's; the sound does not work on each of the channels. I called Samsung and they said it was an app problem w/ Directv Now. I couldn't have been the first customer to discover this issue and I feel that this should have been identified by Best Buy prior to me buying the 3 NU8000 TV's. The problem can be resolved by buying and installing an Amazon Firestick but that's an additional expense that I should have not have had to incur.

We got sling tv for free for 30 days and are loving the quality and ease of finding shows. We’re thinking about keeping it to replace other apps instead.

Great picture. Good sound. Using Google home to control it is a little clunky because you have to know the station number, you can't say "Hey Google ask LG to tune to HGTV" for example. LG has an odd male voice that is kind of but not quite like a robot which makes it seem a little creepy. The magic remote pointer/cursor took a little getting use to as it doesn't seem to show up on the screen where I think I am pointing and I've not found a way to calibrate it. I've not used any of the included apps because I can't tell what they do. For example what is is the difference between using Channel Plus and the regular input? No clue.

To be honest, I had great expectations for the viewing experience. I purchased this TV as an upgrade. I already had a 55 inch superb Sony Bravia TV that was just five years old. The quality of that TV was very high. It always impressed from the very beginning. I have had ZERO problems with this TV. But I wanted to upgrade to a larger viewing area and all of the advantages of 4K. I read the reviews and certainly 95 % of them were VERY positive. Out of the box, it is all most TOO color saturated. I felt I needed to tweak down the saturation. While the colors were rich - it had a tendency to almost make the display too full - to almost give it an unreal appearance. For me, once I tweaked it down - just a tiny bit - the experience was more satisfying. I also discovered you can sit too close. Too close and there seems to be a little pixelation. Also, remember the final picture varies on the quality of signal inputted. I really like it now - but at first the 4K experience (again for me) was a little like the difference between viewing a movie or broadcast done in film contrasted by one done in digital video. But again, the quality of this TV is first class. I hope and expect it to hold up as well as all of my previous Sony products!

I have been using Sling TV since I cut the cord to my cable provider so to speak and have found it to be a great streaming service. It can get pricey if you need a specific set of channels like sports channels and some of the other special channels. However, even though I find it somewhat affordable I will probably cancel my trial subscription just because I have plenty of content I can watch through other streaming services already like Netflix and Hulu. All in all if you are looking to cut the cord from your cable provider but can't live without certain TV programming, Sling TV might be a good fit for you?

I bought this to replace an old 24" tube type television that i had in my bedroom. We wanted to have a firestick in our bedroon to be able to stream what we wanted to watch, but the tube tv was to old to use a firestick with. I seen this tv which is a little bigger than the old one we had + it has fire tv built into it. It was a win win situation. All i had to buy was this tv versus buying a new flat screen plus a firestick. It is capable of downloading other streaming apps as well. I love it. Only reason for 4 stars is because I've only had it for a week and dont want to jinx it. It was a great deal at only $119.99.

Needed to pick up a new 32" LED TV to replace one in the bedroom that decided audio only was a good way to go. Also, since we'd been using an old Wii for Netflix access and that was being phased out, I wanted to get a Smart TV and take care of that while i was at it. This TV fulfilled my requirements and the price was fair. One drawback with Smart TVs is that the remote is 'decluttered' - no dedicated buttons for changing settings like aspect ratio, you have to dig thru the settings. The menus are a bit clunky but the functions you need are all there. It just takes some time to find them all.

Shopping for new TV, selected a 55" SonyTV, was dissatisfied w/ color & brightness (open family room has many windows). So researched (again!) impressed by Sony X900F series reviews & surprised at how easy it was to return 1st TV. I purchased SONY 65" X9OOF. WOW! looks great right out of box- color & definition of smallest details is AMAZING when viewing day & night even on cable networks. I added sound bar cause of room size & purchased HDR-DVD player ..for the first time the TV screen actually looks as amazing as it looks in showroom!! Customer service associates were very helpful, courteous and answered my many questions throughout this week long process. Having just moved here from LA, have to say service in EP is Excellent! Thank you.

Got a 30 day free trial with a Roku TV I purchased from Best Buy, and decided to try it out. I became a cable cutter (except high speed internet) before they even came up with the term "cable cutter." Purchased 1st Roku TV, WiFi router, Magic Jack (phone service), and a great antenna from Best Buy. Had everything I needed, but was missing HGTV. So when they offered the free trial of sling, with my 2nd Roku TV, I tried it. I think it would be a 5 star - Excellent idea for a new cable cutter (they could skip buying an antenna), but it's not cost effective for me (for just 1 missing channel).

Sling works great. Aside from the occasional buffering. It’s unavoidable for internet TV. But you can basically customize your channels

I love the tv, the screen is beyond impressive. Check it at the store though, first one I took home had a cracked screen as soon as I opened the box. When I returned to the store to exchange it for another tv, one blue shirt said I’d have to check it at home, fortunately another blue shirt over heard and said no, we’re checking it here. Besides that hiccup, I love this tv, I was going to go with something higher end, but the screen is seriously impressive for the price. It’s on par with the other TVs I looked at besides oled, but I’m a gamer and not going with oled for gaming.

You can easily cut the cord with sling. It allows you to save the channels that you like to watch the most and has a wide variety of channels to choose from at on packages as well. You can even add on DVR. There is even a guide where you can see and select what is on a particular channel currently and watch live TV. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I feel like the on-demand package is lacking and should not include commercials. As well as sometimes the app needs to refresh on the TV more often then I feel like it should for the amount of time it has been out.

It is a nice perk to have this free sling television trial, I will be considering continuing with this service after the free trail.
