I watched this movie on Starz and found it very intriguing. This teacher was trying to find ways to reach students... they came from all walks of life. Lastly, they came to trust her and the story ended well!! A must see..

I just had to buy this movie after catching it on cable. To see a teacher believe in her students is heart warming and rare with the dedication that she put into being someone that literally loved her students.

Still love this movie I haven’t seen it in years. It’s still one of my favorites that needed to be in my movie collection.

If I could give this a half star more I would. An inspiring movie. Hilary Swank, a new but dedicated teacher, takes a job in poorer school in Long Beach. Special features gives you a little more info.

This movie and "Stand and Deliver" are good representations of what teachers should come to be.

This is a must own for any teacher or teacher-fan out there. This is such an inspiring movie along with another film called "Stand and Deliver". I would definitely recommend the purchase.

This movie kind of reminded me of the old school movie with Michelle Phiffer, Dangerous Minds. I didnt have a clue what the movie was about before I purchased it and really didnt think much of Hillary Swank to begin with, buying the movie while it was on sale. After watching the movie, I really enjoyed it and the acting job by Hillary Swank was absolutely more than accepting by my expectations. The setting of the movie is at a local high school in the 'HOOD' and the storyline is much like Dangerous Minds but little bit more twist and new images across. I really didnt expect much of the movie as I have said before but at the end of the movie believe it or not I did get a bit teary-eye with an unexpected drama and storyline which was GREAT! I give it a 5 stars since this movie caught me off guard and I really enjoyed it and it was worth the buy. If you like a drama with a meaningful storyline and a bit-teary ending, this is the movie for you.
