My daughter was coming to the U.S. from South Africa and needed a SIM card that would work with her iPhone 8. After a lengthy discussion with your rep, I was assured my purchase of the FreedomPop SIM card would work. I bought it. My daughter and my brother are both extremely literate when it comes to electronics but after some hassle could not get the card to work. She had to purchase a card for herself. I am definitely disappointed and am returning the card to Best Buy.

You cannot beat this service for budget mobile service. Great for non frequent users. Don’t go over your data limit and you’ll be satisfied.
Does the job for kids and saves hundreds of dollars per year.

Such a great deal for phone service. For the people who complain that the service is terrible, they can go ahead and pay 5 or 6 times more with traditional carriers.

I've been a Freedompop subscriber for over two years now. They originally sold service on Sprint's network and we definitely saw issues related to the footprint of the service. The new LTE sims use AT&T's network that provides service over a much larger area. It really is 1Gbps of data and unlimited text and talk. The catch is that the voice and text are technically Voice over IP. If you're at home, your voice and texts will go over your wifi (and the quality is dependent on your home network's speed). I've got 30Mbps cable modem and get Fantastic quality at home. You should be fine with even a DSL connection through. When you're not at home or on wifi, those calls go over AT&T's network and have been great quality so far. I have found that on an iPhone, I get a better experience on my Freedompop phone using Hangouts and Google voice instead of the built in app. Hangouts integrates well with iOS and calls look/feel like normal phone calls. The problem with Hangouts is that your calls will count against your data (where they don't if you're using the Freedompop app). Freedompop has this integration with Android but is still working on it with iPhone. Be careful and read everything carefully when you work with Freedompop. They are still considering their service "Beta" and their tech support is not the greatest, but the price is incredible. I use this service for 3 of my 4 kids' phones.

I love this service. I use google voice so I don't use their phone number or app. Service has been great for me as I have used this service for 3+ years.

Love Freedompop! Unfortunately, I think they have switched to another company. If you can get the original Freedompop, it’s worth it!

It says unlimited talk and text but if run-out the 1GB data you can not text and talk. They never mentioned that anywhere.

This is a decent 1gb service but if you use your data it becomes useless unless on WIFI. Needs to have this in the package and not lead on to be a cell service.

Easy to use and best value for money. It really worked at $45 per year. 10 times cheaper.
