Customers are saying
Customers value the low price and ease of use of the Basic Plan LTE 3-in-1 SIM Card Kit, praising its straightforward setup and reliable AT&T network coverage. However, some users point out limitations in data allowance and call quality, noting that calls are made via a VoIP app and may be unreliable. The SIM card's compatibility with certain devices was also questioned by some customers.

STAY AWAY !! hidden automatic charges
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you manage to successfully cancel each individual service during the trial period you will be immediately auto billed for data because freedom pop doesn't use GSM to make calls it uses data. All of a sudden your next bill due of $0.00 becomes a $20.00 auto charge to your credit card days later. When you try to turn off auto refill in an attempt to actually have a free service you are immediately charged $7.99 to your credit card and it reoccurs monthly. So there is no free at all in freedompop. Calls can only be made using their app and you waive your right to class action lawsuit when you sign up so obviously they know they are a deceptive company. Go get a call and text plan for $20 that works on your phone and does not require a special app to make calls you will save yourself the annoyance.

Highly Recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using FreedomPop's 4G LTE sim in AT&T network for over a year. The basic plan has free 200 minutes/500 texts/200 MB. I connected with 10+ FreedomPop friends so that I get an extra free 500MB/month. AT&T's coverage is excellent, and I do not have major problem with making/receiving the VOIP phone calls using FreedomPop's app. I bought some add-ons like data-rollover and voice-mail service for a couple of dollars/month and I can cancel the add-ons at any time. I'm glad that I found this Sim Card.

Great Plan if you have Wi-Fi access too!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FreedomPop has been in my pocket for years - first as a WiMAX driven hotspot and Evo4G to the latest version of the GSM SIM in my HTC Ultra. I keep my data usage well under 1GB each month and use it for a ton of messaging - not a ton of talk, but it's there if I need it. I love the fact that I get the full high speed LTE that AT&T offers (which is even better than their own prepaid services) and there is coverage for it everywhere. At $10 a month the plan is a steal. If you're smart though, you'll buy the year after you give this a try and call it good. It's a great service.

Good value for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using FreedomPop LTE SIM for one year and a half now and I am very satisfied. The coverage is great and the call quality is good. There are several plans to satisfy everyone need starting from 0$/month up. With the free plan you get 200min talk, 500 texts and 200MB. Up to 500 extra MB can be obtained connecting with FreedomFriends. All calls and texts between Freedompop users are free. Make sure to set up your account according to your needs and usage. I would definitely command Freedompop for medium/moderate users!

Deceptive practices, they will TAKE your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FRAUD ** SCAM ** DO NOT USE I was a huge fan and active proponent of this service until they got me. They charged me over $100 for an account that I DID NOT OPEN or use. This account had no SIM card, no phone number assigned.. I didn't open it or know about it until I saw it on my bank statement. I tried to talk to customer service (which, by the way, you can't call them unless you PAY AN UPCHARGE) and they basically told me, "Sorry, no refunds." I opened a claim with BBB. Their service isn't even that great. If you are low income, its a life saver, but otherwise, it's worth it to pay a normal carrier. Calls get dropped, voicemails show up days late, texts don't go through, and the required messaging app uses a TON of unexpected data, even with WiFi on. DON'T FALL FOR THIS - IT IS FRAUD

Misleading
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I try this service, just for back up my main cell. First you need to install Freedoompop apps to order to call or receive a call, it is Voip (Voice over IP ) system . You can not make or receive a call without apps just like regular GSM service which just need to insert SIM card on your unlocked phone. They should mentioned Freedompop apps is required to make and receive a call. I am not taking about $, but from technical standpoint this is misleading to customer

Is FREE truly worth it? Up to you...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At this so called FREE level get ready...first they'll charge $10.99 when you go to set it up....$.99 as activation fee, $10.00 as a credit which expires in 30 days whether you use it or not... 2ndly there's ZERO live support unless you pay for it, you have to use email which could take days or use Tweeter which takes hours, either way ZERO support on weekends...be very careful when choosing your initial phone number on the web page I selected a 786 area code & the glitch in the system charged me $4.99 as they tell me that I changed it even though I never did. If you use the sim card on a phone & you select to be at home on WiFi & you use FreedomPop to make a call they deduct the minutes even though you are NOT using their network but using your WiFi at home or whichever free one you might be using. You will also notice that all this is possible because your are adding an app to your smartphone & assigning a cellphone carrier to your smartphone. So if what you are looking for is for a way to make calls over WiFi while at home there are plenty of TRULY FREE apps that allow you to have phone service. Some folks worry about 911 services remember that ALL cellphones or smartphones will allow you to make a 911 call. For the techie that wants to be turning off network data, cellular data to work around the so called FREE service...it might be worth it

Great Bargain
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In August, I upgraded my phone with sprint. (Have to have it for work). I decided to keep my old phone and get it unlocked so I can use it as a back up. It was incredibly easy to set it up. And the great thing is that this is a GSM SIM. So there are times when my Sprint phone might not have coverage, but my Freedompop phone will have a very strong signal. It’s great to have options and a spare phone to give to my kid if he is going somewhere.
