Primo slasher film at it's best...no need to go any further, tense situations, edge of your seat thriller. Ha who's next can't go wrong

This is a great addition to any film collection I already own this movie on several different formats including the Blu-ray Steelbook from several years ago. But this is still a must have being the 40th anniversary edition & on Steelbook. They did a real nice job with the artwork on the Steelbook the front is the original poster from 1980 & the bavk has the music whenever jason appears. The Blu-ray scan of this film looks & sounds great. I would highly recommend getting this. There is also a new Friday the 13th box set coming out on October 13th 2020 I would highly recommend getting also it has every Friday the 13th film including Freddy VS Jason & the 2009 remake

One of the first classic slasher horror movies I saw as a child. I was at a friends and didn’t have permission to watch but we did. 4 bits in the floor with homemade popcorn, the lights turned off and my friends mom, dad and sisters sitting in the furniture behind us scaring us to death every time that music (kill, kill, kill) and something bad happened. Looks great in 4K and love the classic artwork on the collectible Steelbook. Just like I remember it. The first hollow web costume I was allowed to pick myself and was allowed to be scary: That classic all white hockey goalie mask that could only mean one thing; Jason!

This movie introduced the world to Jason, who will be part of many future sequels in this horror dynasty.

It's good to see old horror movies like this on Blu-ray. It really makes a old picture come alive.

"Friday the 13th" is not a scary movie nor a particularly gory one. It was probably made over the course of four weekends, in between the cast and crews' normal weekday obligations...or so it seems. Nonetheless, it is not a boring movie and it is good for watching at around 2 in the morning on and around Holloween just to get you in the mood....

Blu-ray version of the original. Crystal clear with all the extras of previous releases.

If you are a fan of the Friday The 13th franchise, this edition is the definitive version to own of the original film. The physical copy of the film comes with the uncut version that shows the kills in the way they were meant to be seen. It also comes with a digital copy of the theatrical version that most people have seen. The Steelbook's artwork is fantastic with a glossy finish. Any horror fan should have this in their collection.

Friday the 13th (original film) is a horror film that never gets old. It has the scare factor, the cast that you want to see get it (and I mean caught by The bad guy and not their extra curricular activities. Lol), and surprises all the way to the end. This is a must own for horror fans. Even if you have it in your collection, the steel book alone is worth the purchase again.

It's a decent horror flick, especially for the time, in terms of special effects. The premise is sound and the killer is terrifying (at least the first time you watch it anyway). I can't believe it's been 40 years since it came out. But, it still ranks as one of the premiere slasher movies, in my opinion.

I don't recall this film ever looking so bloody good. The digital transfer is top shelve and will allow you to see Jason's killings in all of their glory. Watch out for the new soundtrack too. What's that? Kill her mommy. This is one camp I dont mind going to again.

I won’t go into details about the film since it’s a classic. But, the steel book is pretty nice and is a replica of the original movie poster. If you don’t own this already and don’t have digital copy of this. Then, this version would be the best for you.

Somehow the Friday the 13th box set is fetching absurd amounts of money on Ebay and from Third Party sellers now so these single discs are a good way to pick up the films in this classic franchise. Unlike that expensive box set though here you can actually get your hands on the uncut version of the first film.

Though it isn't a huge incentive to buy the film again, the steelbook has great design using the original cover art and it is a great addition for fans of the series!

Studio did a great job updating the image quality on this. Most of the special features are already out there on other releases, but the quality makes it worth it.

There are so many editions of the original Friday the 13th on Blu-ray but this is a pretty cool Steelbook with the original cover art. Really great price as well!

Cool artwork steelbook…problem is you take a risk when ordering steelbooks online especially from big retailers as they just put it on a slim bubble envelope and call it a day.

I have already own the film on bluray..its a classic film..i loved how the killer kills the teenagers..The a harmless looking mother next door turns out to be the killer..love the steelbox.. waiting on 4k

Jason isn’t the real killer his mom is everyone dies but they make 97 more sequels plus a tv series. I already own the 35th anniversary dvd but this one is bluray so they got me again
