An older movie about 2 women and their friendship over 20+ years. Cathy Bates meets Jessica Tandy at a resthome and strikes up a friendship while Cathy Bates' husband visits his mom. Jessica Tandy tells the story of Iggie who is an anti-social women who becomes friends with the new girl in town (Mary Louise Parker). Iggie goes on trial for the murder of MLP ex-husband. Excellent movie and highly recommeded.

Love, love, love this captivating story. One of my daughter and I's favorite movies to watch together. This southern classic is a must own for your video collection.

Loved this movie when I was younger & to see it on bluray was a blessing. Loved the added commentary, docs, & added features to go further in depth to the movie that we all cherish.

We don’t waste our money on cable or satellite services. We now order movies that we want to watch. Bestbuy usually has what we’re looking for for our movies library.

Love this classic movie!! Kathy Bates and Mary Stuart Masterson are great... although they don't interact with each other, they have great performances all throughout the movie!!

Instant classic! If you haven't seen this it's a must watch. It will become your favorite instantly. Great cast, original storyline, keeps you entertained throughout the whole movie.

I loved this movie as a kid and still watched it on dvd from time to time over the years! I am very excited they have finally put it on blu ray and improved the picture and sound.

I watched this movie many years ago and did not think about it not being in my collection until I saw it on TV. The acting is superb and the story is very compelling. Jessica Tandy and Kathy Bates are two of my favorite actresses and Mary Stuart Masterson was wonderful playing the tough protector. This is definitely a movie that should be in your collection.

This is one of the best movies of all time. You will laugh and you will cry. It is a great family movie and one everyone should watch while eating fried green tomatoes!

A very classic movie. A very touching movie with how the friendship of two women shapes the lives of so many in a southern community. It was great seeing this in blu ray!

A classic movie with a great plot and characters. Even if you have already seen this movie it's still a great classic to be seen over and over again.

This is a fun and delightful movie to watch. It does have some suspense and your not sure how its going to end but it does with a good feeling ending.

Juxtaposition of 2 stories, present & past, makes this very interesting tale of women empowerment work quite well.
