This was bought as a direct replacement for my dead Frigidaire over-stove MWO that lasted 7 years. It works as well and is quieter than the old unit. My only complaint is that after giving the model number of my dead MWO, I was told by your people that it would exactly replace the old unit. What I was NOT told was that I'd have to spend a day removing the old hanger bracket and installing a new one, and the screw holes didn't even match, so I had patching, and measuring and drilling new holes in my cabinets (yeah, it sounds simple when you say it fast) to deal with. It did take most of the day, a day I wasn't prepared to give it. I was prepared for a minor inconvenience: I got a project. Next time I will question more closely. So far it hasn't come crashing down, so I guess I'm good to go. -Mary Ann's husband

Not a bad unit at all. Does the job that it is intended to do. It arrived quickly, and was fairly simple to install. In fact - I was able to install it by myself with just a few grunts and groans. Note: It will be easier to install with someone helping - primarily to hold the unit up while the top screws are started. The microwave is easy to use for daily normal stuff AND also has some other hi-tech-ish features. HERE'S THE KICKER that may be important to you...so please note... although a search for "Stainless" may have led you to this product in Best Buy's catalog - AND although the term "stainless" is shown in the product specs - this microwave has a fairly sensible color, but it is PLASTIC. It IS plastic, it LOOKS plastic. Whether looking at it from 20 feet away, or 20 inches away - it's plastic. And if the rest of your kitchen appliances are actual stainless steel, than this microwave will look even MORE plastic. You've been warned. With all that said...this microwave seems well worth the price, and when it dies...I won't feel as bad throwing it away as I did throwing away the last one (which was 5 years old - Stainless - and $600).

Coming from only owning small, inexpensive microwaves, this model is a large step up; defrosting frozen food works as it should (i.e. even thawing, no cooking, etc) and food is cooked/heated evenly. However I have two complaints: One is that when cooking is finished, the microwave emits three loud beeps that cannot be silenced by opening the door of the microwave or pressing buttons. In fact, while the unit is beeping, no buttons can be pressed at all until the beeping is complete. The other complaint refers to the built-in timer (unrelated to the timer used when microwaving). While the timer is running ( , you cannot use the microwave (but for me this is minor as it basically means i will not use the timer on the microwave). Would give 5 stars if not for the above two issues.

Easy to install directions, looks great and quiet.

I purchased this to replace the previous model (silver mist) microwave that lasted 6 years. This model is working great, and is even a bit quieter than the previous model. I used Best Buy to install it also, and they were on time, quick and did a great job. Very happy with this microwave.

I am kind of skeptical of Frigidaire after our existing one went out after only 4 years. Our house a Frigidaire appliance package and wanted to stick with the same brand. It is very quiet and has been great for the one month that we have had it installed.

Easy to program with just a touch. I like having the microwave located above my stove with the exhaust in it.
