Cools my entire downstairs (~1300 sqft). love the built in thermostat so its not just constantly running. Was shocked at how little my electricity bill increased. Was a bit of a bear to install but ended up being a fun little project with my 11yo son.

I absolutely love this AC! I wanted a larger unit, but this is the largest unit I could buy that runs on 120 volts. While it does not cool the entire downstairs area, it works very well!

CAC went down...bummer. Had some small units for the bedrooms, but needed something more substantial for the family/living room area. This did a great job and worked efficiently to keep us within our electric budget.

Bought my first in-window air conditioner this Summer from Best Buy in Bellevue, WA... had it shipped to my house for free - weighs over 100lbs. I'm glad I bought the 15,000 model... nicely cools down about 800 sft of space. If you buy one of these A/C Beasts... be sure to also get the extra in-window installation elbow/footer... it makes installation a snap. Also be sure to get it from Best Buy... they have the best service and pricing and extended warrantee (IMO). I stay cool, my friend... and when I can't, I drink Dos Equis!

Assembly was a task that was terrible if I had known how hard it was to put together I never would have purchased the unit. After I was done attaching the top bar and the side curtains I had so many screws left over so I made it work ,because I was exhausted. The unit worked fine and was not loud or noisy. I do need an electrician to run a separate line as this unit is too powerful for my existing wiring ,it would shut off after only a few minutes but it blows out really cool air quickly.

Got a great deal on this unit!! I live in a 650 sq ft apt in NYC, and it literally turns the place into a tiny icebox. Great for dog days of summer!'

Def need 2 people to install, just because it's so heavy. Once in, works like a breeeeeeeeze. Cools down our first floor in minutes. Punny.

Very large AC unit, largest I've ever owned. Intended on buying a 12,000 BTU for our space, but this was an open box in my local store was the same price, so we went for it (ours is big, but double check your window opening people!!). Our open living, dining and kitchen is 550 sq ft, so this is a little overkill, but when cooling a kitchen, it's recommended to up in BTU's to account for heat-generating appliances like your stove. After the first month of use, our electric bills haven't taken a major jump, the energy star ratings we're a huge motivation in getting new units and it paid off. If we were to run our old ones our bill would have easily doubled and then some. The "Eco" mode on this thing works pretty well once you understand and honestly you can feel the air move when it's fan kicks on, in the kitchen (unit is in living room window 16 ft away). We don't run it very much during the day when we're not home, just enough to keep the dog comfortable, but usually turn it to "Cool" mode after work. It cools down really fast and we put it in "Sleep" mode for the night. The remote is a nice bonus too. For the people complaining about the noise...it's a window unit air conditioner, they are all loud. Use a ceiling fan if you want it quiet. It's noisy (it's in the living room right between us and the TV), but for the size I say it's normal and probably quieter than our older, smaller one. We're very happy with it. The old 8,000 BTU went into our master and we've decided we're replacing that too, with at least the same size or a 12,000 BTU (I'm eyeing another open box model).

The conditioner is powerful and energy efficient; however, could have more sophisticated programming features, not only time to switching on/off.

Very pleased with this air conditioner so far but I purchased it at the end of summertime when only a week or two remained of the worst heat. Using to cool a large room and small side room of approximately combined 800 square feet and it does the job quickly and efficiently. Good purchase if you can get it on sale.

The only reason this air conditioner did not get 5 starts is due to the installation instructions. I am good at mechanical and construction work. However, I had a hard time understanding some of the instructions and how they wanted certain things installed. I took way too long to install the brackets for the window because of how the instructions walked you through the install. Other than that the Air Conditioner works well and cools my office and Bedroom.

This a/c unit works very good. I have 1,735 sq. ft. Ranch stile Home built in 2002. Placed the a/c in the dining room window and a small fan in the hallway and it keeps the whole house nice and cool. My electric bill went up about $25 to $30 a month keeping the house at about 68 degrees. I am very happy with this unit.

We bought this window Ac after the one we previously had stopped cooling. This one is 3100 BTUs larger, and about $75 more, but the cooling power more than makes it an excellent purchase. It is also Energy Star certified, and the features that are available with it make this model very economical.

I love this AC! So far my in laws bought one and so has a friend of mine. This model cools the room quick and not to noisy. You will need a helper when mountaining it and following through the instructions which are a bit tedious. Great product and definitely recommend it.

Family and friends keep raving about how cool our open-concept first floor is whenever they visit our new home, thanks to Frigidaire's workhorse. Energy-saving options are present and frequently used, even if it can get a bit annoying to hear the unit turn itself on for 10 seconds every half hour.
