I would recommend this refrigerator for a small family and medium residence.

From start up to running, this refrigerator is very noisy. It starts up with a 'ping' and then runs fairly loudly. The noise has gotten worse as it began to be broken in. The shelf spacing is very curious. Whomever laid it out, did not do so with storage of standard purchase items in mind. To get a water jug on the top shelf, the second and third shelf have to be very narrow. Unless you putting cans of soda, etc. on the bottom shelf, it is fairly useless unless the items are flat, when the top shelf is set up for a water jug. All in all, this unit was overpriced at it's sale price point. I recommend that you continue your search rather than buy one of these.

Got an excellent deal on a floor model. This refrigerator has all the basic requirements we needed for an extra refrigerator.

It's a lemon. Freezer did not work from day 1. Didn't realize it at first, so lost a lot of food.

I purchased this refrigerator on sale because my old one (a Magic Chef) leaked water all over the floor and froze almost everything that wasn't on the top self (adjusting the setting resulted in moldy and spoiled food.) The new Frigidaire seems to be pretty light weight; 2 men effortlessly carried it up the porch steps and placed it in the kitchen. The cord is only about 3 feet long so if you don't have an outlet close to the baseboard plan on purchasing a heavy duty or major appliance cord (1875 watts). Keep in mind that the pamphlet that came with the refrigerator instructs users not to use an extension cord. Initially the Frigidaire would make noises like ice cracking and dropping between the walls. I lowered the settings (freezer and refrigerator) a bit and the problem went away. On one occasion I heard a sizzling sound and thought the refrigerator was experiencing a short (thoughts of staying up all night to make sure it didn't start a fire entered my mind). The refrigerator stopped its cooling session and the noise stopped. When it started cooling again the noise did not reoccur. That was about 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard it since. I think the sizzling noise was probably caused by condensed water dropping on a hot part and just sizzled until it evaporated. It doesn't seem to be overly noisy, it's actually quieter than the smaller Magic Chef it replaced. But then some people may be more sensitive to the sound of a refrigerator than I am I've had the refrigerator just over a month and a half. All in all it works very well and I'm happy with it.

Have had this fridge for about one month. It is a backup fridge that is placed in our garage. I would not recommend it for a primary unit due to the fact that it is on the noisey side. Otherwise it seems to be cooling reasonably well, not cold but cool enough. I have turned up the cooling temp setting but have a feeling due to the heat in the garage I better not push this thing too hard or it might fail. Would I purchase it again, can't answer that one just yet, time will tell.

We bought this unit for the garage, so we were not concerned with extra features, or noise. It keeps the beer and pop cold and it uses a lot less power then the old one, so we are very happy with it

As a second refrigerator it is a good value for the money. Could have used an extra shelf. It does the job.

I would not recommend this refrigerator as it is very loud. It's actually louder than the 10 year old refridgerator that I replaced it with.

Great refrigerator for a cottage. Changed door hinge to left side but meat tray is not movable to right side. Glass shelves are great but shelf frame is not strong enough to handle weight on top shelf. Temperature controls have limited range. I was unable to change freezer temperature above -10 degrees F. Low cost refrigerator that does a good job.

This refrigerator is a great value. I had a hard time finding the size refrigerator I needed for the space I have between my cabinets. This refrigerator fits perfectly and got working within 15 minutes with no issues. Best Buy was great setting up the appliance and hauling away the old one. Highly recommend this appliance and the services provided by Best Buy for installation.
