Posted .Hello, Carl S. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your concerns with us. According to your appliance's parts manual, the butter dish is not included and must be purchased separately. Adjusting the refrigerator control will change temperatures in both compartments. The freezer control can be left at the factory preset (*Recommended) or adjusted as desired. To maintain temperature, a fan circulates air in the refrigerator and freezer compartments. For good circulation, do not block cold air vents with food items.
