Our 21 year old White Westinghouse 18000 BTU Window AC unit finaly called it quits...I almost feel sorry for it...It kept us cool for a good long time! I paid $600 for it over 2 decades ago(at Best Buy)! I told my Wife it's going to be expensive to replace this one! Pleasantly surprised at the Great price! When installing the unit I noticed the design(which may be standard for most window units...don't know for sure# was almost identical to the long lived White Westinghouse! I thought this a good sign! We installed it mid afternoon on a 97 degree day and in 2 hours all three rooms were cold...you could almost hang meat in them! I am truly sorry that the previous reviewer had a problem, but this kind of thing happens from time to time with every manufacturer. Hope it was resolved! Now living in comfort again in frigid air! #pun intended!)

Was all excited to buy this air conditioner. Got home, put it in turned it on.... NOTHING! After going over and over the installation process.. called customer care at Frigidaire. They ended up sending a service repairman who couldnt fix the problem on a brand new airconditoner. So, on his advice, we are returning it. He says the "brain" is out and this is NOT the first one he has been called out to fix.
