This freezer is large and quiet. Seems to be working well. Garage ready, too

We have now had this 20 Cu Ft standup freezer for over 2yrs and have found it to be excellent. Storage space is better that our old freezer and the on light on the bottom is a nice signal that there are NO problems. Highly recommended.

We needed a big freezer in a rush and were able to find this in stock. It has been absolutely excellent in our garage holding all our meat. Easily fits a half cow and then some. Temperature has been perfect the whole time and it seals itself shut when you close it. Plus the green light on the bottom lets us know its alwags on.

Great freezer. Very spacious. Took several shopping trips to fill so it didn't slide across the floor when we pulled the handle! Adjustable shelves a plus. Wish the door auto close feature worked better, but it does work somewhat. Very Quiet alarm.

This is my 2nd Frigidaire freezer, only larger. Quiet, efficient, lets you know if you didn't close the door properly and it really makes a great seal; price was reasonable. I do recommend getting the 'garage ready' model as it is made for the extremes in temps.

We bought a super freezer! We have a large family, and it's a lifesaver for us! It has a large volume, plenty of capacity, easy access to all the shelves, and you can see everything that's inside and where it is. Once again, we didn't regret choosing Best Buy!

Very happy with my purchase. Great size. Love the green light showing its working and none of my food is going bad.

Huge Freezer! I upgraded from a 5.0 Cu ft chest freezer to this, and wow what a difference it makes. Perfect for large/growing families, and easy accessible vs a chest freezer that you stack food on top of each other. Rolls with ease when you get it, very easy to move before you adjust the stoppers. Great feature.

It is tall and slim so it takes up less room. Very quiet on the outside and bright and roomy in the inside. I like the green light under the door that lets me know the door is closed and that there are no issues with power.

Researched a lot of upright freezers to replace my recently dead 15 cu foot 47 year old Kenmore chest freezer. Decided this 20 cu foot model fit the bill. You need a larger upright to hold the same amount as a chest because interior space isn't as efficient. This model came with 4 sturdy, height adjustable wire shelves, 5 door storage bins, and a large wire storage basket. Has a visible power light to let you know it's running, easy reversible door, auto door close up to 5 inches open and an open door alarm if the door isn't closed (open more than 5 inches). It's frost free and also Energy Star to save on electricity. These ticked all my feature needs. One problem- not one reseller had it in stock. Turns out that Best Buy was the only one that could deliver one before all my frozen food defrosted. I had to keep the dead chest filled with dry ice for a week to the tune of over $100 until the new freezer showed up. But to Best Buy's credit they came through with spot on time delivery as promised, installation, and old freezer cart away. As for cost- a big win here as Best Buy's price was the best I could find too.

The delivery people were very good. The freezer has quite a bit of room. It is very easy to use. The only recommendation I would make is to have an alert if the door is left ajar as it is very hard to tell if it is closed tight since it doesn't have a lock on it.

So far so good but for any appliance company to not warranty their stuff longer than they do, it doesn’t give me much confidence that this will last like my parents old 25+ year old freezer has. And my last purchase for a previous freezer didn’t even last 5 years, so I sprung for the 5 year Best Buy extended protection plan. Still, would be nice for a company to not exploit the “planned obsolescence” quite so much considering how expensive everything is these days. Make major appliances last and offer minimum 5 year warranties standardly, not 1 year warranties.

Our freezer almost 20 years old went out suddenly. It was full of exotic meat, elk, gemsbok, etc. we needed something fast. We got on the phone with Best Buy representative and he found us a Frigidaire freezer which was the new version of our old freezer. Works awesome.

I am very pleased with my Frigidaire Upright Freezer as it is very quiet and holds its temperature in this hot summer as it is located in my garage.

Basically brand new other than dent in the door. Its a freezer, not a piece of art. Plenty of room for a half hog, quarter beef, and leftover beef from the previous year.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!! We ordered it on Nov 13, and were pleasantly surprised when it was delivered on Friday Nov 25 instead of the estimated Dec 20. That good feeling died hard and fast. First of all, the guy who delivered and "installed" the freezer was more concerned with taking pictures of our garage than properly removing the packing styrofoam from the unit - foam tucked into parts that would have prevented the unit from working properly - if it weren't already a lemon. We gave the freezer 24+ hours to get to temp, but it was cool, not frozen. We tried turning it off and back on, unplugging it, and generally looking for anything that could keep it from freezing. Late in the afternoon on Saturday Nov 26, we discovered packing foam wedged behind the center cooling/vent that runs top-to-bottom along the back interior of the freezer. We removed it, and thought the freezer would now be free to do its job. We thought wrong apparently. It is now Monday Nov 28, and despite having been on, and running for the last 3 days, it refuses to get colder than 43F. That's not a safe temperature for a refrigerator, let alone a freezer. Needless to say, we're returning the freezer. We've owned Frigidaire products for decades - this would have been our 5th Frigidaire freezer (to replace a nearly 20 year old unit). We bought it based on the lack of bad reviews. After searching this model on other sites, the sheer number of people experiencing the same issue with their freezers is alarming, It paints a picture of a manufacturer that is more concerned with profits than producing a working product. After this experience, safe to say this was likely the last Frigidaire freezer we will purchase.

We value your feedback. We understand that there isn't much that we can say that will can change your views and experience at this time. As this, is not the ownership we want for you or any of our Frigidaire family. While we cannot change what has happened, please know we will work hard to improve our brand and products, and we hope for an opportunity to restore your faith in us one day. ~Keyanna

Ok, two weeks in and it is working well. This is not my first purchase of this item. I first bought this at another retailer. Two weeks in it failed, lost most of the food. I contacted Frigidaire. It took a couple MONTHS getting a tech to look at it. Then it came down that the critical part they needed was on back order for the next three months...maybe I would get the part. So they eventually, another two weeks, refunded every dime I spent on it. Here's the rub. It is non-returnable and has to be disposed of by the consumer. But here are the good points. It has wire racks which is great for circulation. The racks are built very sturdy. The bottom basket, very sturdy. There is also plenty of door storage for lighter items. Comparing all the other models/brands, this one has better space utilization. It holds a lot and organization is available. The little green light shows on the floor very well to indicate the run state. Having had one that failed I can confirm that the temperature alarm works although is not the loudest but it served the purpose well. Here is the feature that other brands just did not have and made the deal for getting the same one again. The door is reversible. The procedure is fairly easy with the correct tools. Alignment is pretty straight forward as well on the door swap. This baby seals very well too. We put a freezer thermometer in it since the other one failed we had it available. We set the adjustment to the center on the recommended setting. This freezer was at zero in 20 minutes. The food we put back in it was already frozen but the unfrozen brisket was hard frozen in about hour and a half. Looking through the reviews and the stats, we calculated that there is about a 7.5 to 10 percent chance of getting a bad unit. So far so good. Why did we switch retailers? Simple, the Best Buy Geek Squad protection. We have had good support from that. However, it does not cover much on food loss. I am thinking that food loss coverage should scale with freezer volume. After all, you paid more for the freezer. Something this large should cover closer to $750 in food loss.
