Like having ice available anytime but it takes a long time to make the ice.

Hello, LJBmad! Thank you for your feedback! The mode produces up to 26 lbs. of ice in 24 hours. We use this for our travel trailer and are very satisfied. My only reason for the 4 star is the description says 3 cube sizes and it only has 2.

This is a great machine if you don't have a job, because you'll need to babysit it! Waste of time and money. Have to constantly empty it, ice doesnt stay frozen and starts melting and clumping. The tray only holds 1/3 of the capacity of ice than the reservoir does water, meaning for each water reservoir fill you'll need to empty the tray 3-4 times. Did I mention it takes over an hour to fill the tray? And will make all sorts of noises in the mean time. Makes enough ice for 2 people. If you have a family or party to serve, this is too small of a machine. We're going back to manually filling silicone trays. This was a total waste of time and money! As was taking the time to write this review. Oh the irony!

Let's get two errors about this product out of the way first: 1. There are not three sizes to choose from, only two. The product description says again and again that this unit can make three different sizes. Wrong. Small and Large. That's it. 2. There is nothing cubic about these ice "cubes". They're actually bullet shaped, and about 1/5 of them will trap air inside their "cone", displacing your drink. That means you'll run out of your beverage that much sooner. That being said, this is a nice little countertop ice maker that makes ice quickly. Its small size doesn't take up much room on the counter, and it runs relatively quietly until there's the loud "thunk" of the ice hitting the ice bucket. I'm in a motel that has a malfunctioning ice machine that will steal your money and produce nothing. Management says "tough". It's nice to make my own ice so I don't have to deal with that. I only make smal" ice bullets so I can fit as many of them as I can in my beverage container. So far it's worked well, although my drink runs empty a little early because some of the "bullets" trap air inside of them. At 200 Watts of power consumption, this is a device I feel comfortable plugging into a strip. I like the fact that I can pour melted ice water back into the unit and turn it into ice again. Waste not, want not! This was a little on the expensive side, but so were all the rest in its class, so there's no getting around that. Pros: Small size, portable, relatively quiet, quick ice, can re-freeze melted ice water. Cons: Only two sizes of ice available, ice shape is a "bullet", not cube. Somewhat expensive, but not outrageously so.

So this is the only thing my wife asked for for Christmas. Pump the brakes, it’s not the only thing she got. The package was damaged when we got it, Best Buy did a quick exchange. The ice machine we’ haven’t used yet ( sub zero temps here in the dakota) but I’m confident it’ll be just fine. I do recommend the extended warranty. I have a friend who’s a stataticion for warranty companies. This is the main appliance to get an extended warranty on. I’ll let you know if I have to use it.

This machine far exceeded our expectations. We are a family of 5 and we have never run out of ice. Even on very hot days!!!

Saves time and money by not having to keep buying ice. Would definitely buy one again.

I didn't see anyone review this machine as producing WET ice anywhere - by that I mean the ice is slick with water and when you dump it to put in the REAL freezer it makes a giant clump that needs to be broken apart. I didn't want to spend $350 to have my ice maker replaced, thought this was a decent option. It's also fairly noisy in the kitchen. It's better than trays but that's as far as I'll go with the positives. Who want WET slick ice? The way the thing works the water that drips off your cubes drops below to be refrozen - so the ice literally sits above the water reservoir. Poor design and not worth the money. Will do more research. Not cubes either, long donut shaped ice with a hole in the middle from the ice fingers in the machine.

Only complaint is that when the tray is full, the freezer cuts off, so you have to stay on top of it. The ice does have great texture, though. nice and chewy.
