I've been using this unit the master bedroom for two months now, and while it's a bit noisy, it cools. It's easy to operate, though I wish you could control more functions using the unit itself (you have to do most through the remote control). Setup was fairly straightforward.

We purchased 2 of these units for a small older house we are renting. One is in a 350 sq ft family room and the other in a smaller bedroom. They do the job and were easy to install. Only detractor is they are a bit on the noisy side but I guess that is to be expected.

This is my first AC for my first home and I think it's pretty good. Easy to set up. Makes the room chilly but not cold. For a portable AC it's a good 8,000 BTU. I just wish it was able to get colder for those really hot days.

I use this unit for a 350sqft room and it cooled the room down fairly fast. The unit itself doesn't take up much space, which is nice. The only downside (which isn't a huge deal) is the way that it drains. But other reviews warned me about it - so I can't complain much about it.

My daughter recently moved into a studio apartment in Brooklyn. I knew I couldn't be there to install an air conditioner for her so I bought this air-conditioner. When the weather got hot enough, she called me to say that she set it up in five minutes and it cooled off the apartment in 15 minutes. This was a great buy and easy to set up. I highly recommend it!

I bought this for our mountain cabin. I have a Frigidaire air conditioner at home, so I thought I would stay with the same brand. The one at home it for a vertical slider window, and this of course is a side slide. Problems: First the duct pipe. Don't even start working on this thing until you get some 3M duct tape. Once you put it together on the floor, tape it up solid so it won't come out during the night. My fan has only one speed, fast. That's ok, but it should have two. Noise: Wow, this thing really makes a lot of noise. But I think all the portables make a lot of noise. It does cool the room to a livable temp. The first few nights it was not so cool, but as time has went by it works better and better. All in all it's a good unit with a few draw backs.

We were nervous about the room size we were purchasing the unit for (approx. 450 sq/ft) since the unit says it works great for 350 sq/ft and under. We had very high ceilings so we thought it might not cool things down enough, but we were wrong!! Sometimes we have to turn the unit off because it makes the room so chilly! Great unit, especially for the price!!!

Once you figure out how to make the hose STAY on, you've got a great AC. Don't move it around much or that darned hose will pop off!

This product does its job if your using it for a small room it's not a full blown AC system so I don't understand why people expect it to cool down a whole apartment, or house. It does need to have access to a window and it isn't the quietest either but we only use it when days are really hot other than that we its not in the way. Good product for the price we payed.

I thought it would cool off a bigger part of my house and the plastic ends that the house attach to say that all you have to do is screw the house into the plastic ends but there is no threads to screw them into and the plastic ends just keep turning and turning without connecting. There are 2 drain holes but the one at the bottom is too low it needs to be a little higher to get a pan under it, but the unit does the job

This unit is small enough for me and my 300 square-foot place. It was easy to set up. It is a bit Noisier than I would like, but overall it's a fine machine.

This cooler really fast coll room,easy moving, small, has remote control. It working quite enough.

When I found out our city was going to be dealing with 100-110 degree heat I knew I had to do something to survive. My house has no central air only a swamp cooling system so rooms in the back get very hot. This machine combats the heat nicely as long as you get it started at night or early morning as it can't compete with 109 degree weather at it's peak so don't just start it when it's already hot! Right now the heat is 100 outside and probably 72 in the room so doing good! I would recommend this unit it's small but powerful for a small to medium room.

I have central AC, but the 150' bedroom stays a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house. It was easy to set up and the locking set up for the window install is good. I tried the Auto and Cool settings and it cooled the room down in minutes. The 3 fan settings are great. It is noisy, but almost like a hotel room, so not that bad. I returned it because it raised the humidity in the room. After researching online it may be because the unit is too large for my room. I really wanted it to work because the summers are ridiculously hot here in TX.

I love this a.c. it cools my room in minutes.. It doesn't take up too much space and does what it's suppose to.

Disappointed that I didn't notice the lack of fan speed controls for this unit. And for the 8000 BTU not sure if does an efficient job in my 20'x16' (with only 8' ceilngs) as often even keeping it set at 62 for hours this room still feels warm. Its possible that despite the damper in my fireplace being shut that we are losing it up there I guess. Its a little louder than I'd like for a living room space however at the same time our other window units are louder so that could be worse. I would recommend this unit only for a space smaller than ours or for a space without a fireplace. Thanks!

i have central heating and air in my apartment but it has a hard time keeping the 2nd floor bedroom cool. i purchased the portable unit and it helps so much in keeping the room cool. it does make some noise but that is to be expected for a ac unit. but i would buy it again if i needed another one

This is a really great air conditioner. If you get up on the air conditioner you will feel how cold it can be. If you are trying to cool down a room it will take you about 10 mins.

Extremely cold and powerful air, but the machine is quite noisy even on the lowest fan speed. Doesn't cycle off when desired temperature is reached, just keeps trying to blow everything out of its way which is great for clearing tables or knocking down small children. I'd look at a few other models next time to check noise levels.

air conditioner work great makes a bedroom great to sleep in i sleep better and breath better when it is on was easy to install but i had to buy a piece of heavy plexiglass to fill where the window slider goes because it didnt expand wide enough but all in all i am quite pleased
