With the SoCal weather that's burning and my bedroom in my apartment does not have an ac plus a cat that stays at home while I work, THIS IS A GIFT FROM HEAVEN! Love the fact that I can control it with my iphone and it's also an energystar product! 150% happy with this purchase!

This ac is awesome. Love the app and look and power of the ac. The app maybe doesn't have the best design on the planet but it does the job. It allows you to change modes,fan speed turn on off. This AC also will make your room cool fast. Good product at a fair price.

This unit is beautiful on the eyes (which is why i gave it 1 star) but it did not meet any of my expectations. It's so freaking loud that I'm not even able to hear the television right in front of my face. The unit pools up water and you can hear a splashing sound inside the unit. The unit does not cool fast or evenly and you are unable to adjust the direction of the airflow. This is a 2016 model 8000btu AC and yet the other AC's i have in the apartment which are 6000btu and over 10 years old cools faster, make less noise and does not have water pooling inside the unit.

The AC works fine. The unit is a little noisy, but that was expected based on reviews I read. The wifi connectivity is spotty. It works maybe 50%, and I don’t think it’s an issue with my router because the AC will be connected to the WiFi network, then it won’t be, then it will be—off and on. I usually use it with Alexa when it’s working. If I want to turn it on or off through the Frigidaire app, then I might as well walk over and turn it on/off manually. The app takes forever to connect, when the WiFi connection is up. And turning the unit on or off away remotely away from home through my Frigidaire account has not worked at all.

Decided to pick this up after our first really hot day of the year when we noticed that the AC we picked up used about 5 years ago wasn't cooling the bedroom as well as it did in previous years. Reading reviews beforehand, I was a little worried about the "beeping" that other customers described, but it seems to have been greatly over exaggerated. I haven't noticed any "regular" beeping during operation except when the unit turns on. If it happens, I've been sleeping through it. My wife hasn't heard it either. In fact, due to the energy saver mode, the unit spends a lot of time completely idle and silent. Someone in a review mentioned that when it does this, it isn't easy to glance and figure out if it's actually on or not. While this is true, pressing any button on the unit or remote "wakes" it first before changing any settings, so you can hit a button to see if it reacts if you aren't sure. I've also read complaints about the pairing process for the app and I don't get this at all. It was straightforward as can be - download the app, create an account, hold down the wifi button on the unit until it beeps, connect your phone to the wifi network created by the unit and enter the password for your home wifi. Connect back to your normal wifi and you are done. The app instructs you in plain english during the setup process and it's very easy to follow. The app works great - the biggest issue has been a connection delay where the command took a little longer than usual. This is still a great feature for pre-cooling the room before you get to it or controlling it for your pets while you're away. 100% happy with this and would buy smaller ones for the 2nd and 3rd bedroom if it was available in smaller sizes.

I bought this when I came out and it's working great. The only thing I do not like about this product is that the water that is trap inside is not draining out or pouring out from the AC unit. It sits in there and the fan blades hit it slowing the unit down and causing the fan to slash the water inside like it's mixing it around. I would like to know a solution to fix this issue or I might have to look into another AC unit that can drain water just fine. 3 star that it works great but 2 star loss because of the drainage issue.

Got this last summer. PROS: Easy to install. Decent cooling. CONS: very loud, fan a/o motor makes whine at high speeds, had to make a new drain hole as water collects in base and existing drain hole is too high. Ended up moving out of our bedroom as it's way too noisy. I say buy another model as this one was obviously not well thought out.

It is a good unit although it doesn't cool as much as I hoped it would. The wifi feature is great but the app needs improvement.

A great advancement in AC..its a bit more expensive but worth it to me to be able to control and schedule everything the AC does from the app! I'd highly recommend it as well for its wonderful aesthetics.

This window unit works absolutely great. I have no complaints about the way it works. The only problem that I have is connecting the app to the unit to take advantage of the wifi feature.

My wife and I bought this unit 7/22 from BestBuy. I did the research, looking at ratings and wanted something from a reputable manufacturer. We also wanted something not ugly and so elected to spend the extra $$ for this unit. The internet connectivity bit was not a factor whatsoever in the purchase however after having used it a couple of times I could see where it would be useful. Unfortunately this unit proved disappointing. It is reasonably quiet (making allowances for it being a window unit) but it hardly cools. On first being engaged the temp. readout on the front accurately reflects the room temperature but it then rapidly drops to the set point and then the unit says "I'm done" and the compressor shuts off. The room temp. remains high even when measured with a thermometer next to the unit (it is not like it is trapped in a packet of cool air). I ended up lowering the set temp. way down but it quickly reaches that temperature as well and re-offs. It really ends up doing nothing. It does look nice though.

Installed unit in window, down loaded app and set up per quick start up guide, but unit will not connect to my wifi. No problem I'll call the 1800 number on the sheet, called number and get a voicemail telling me call cannot be answered because all employees are in training to better assist me. So I call the 1800 number ON THE UNIT and the very friendly woman explained to me that she can't support this product and has no way to get ahold of anybody who can help me and my best bet is to return the product because they rushed this out to market to fast. Maybe in a year or so they will get it right but stay away from this one.

My old ACs are same brand and I wanted to replace because they are loud since I used for 2 yrs. I bought 2 at Best Buy store and these are louder than old ones. I still can return them, but I decided to keep them. Because it's too much work to return and buy others and install again. Don't waste your money. It's louder than old models. No sleep mode! This noise drives me crazy, so I bought fans instead!

It's a decent AC. Gave it two stars because of the smart features. Most of the time the app won't connect if your out of the house and want to turn it on. It cools but not as good as another 8k BTU AC I have. After a few months it started to build mold inside the outer case. It doesn't have a proper drainage system which will cause it to produce mold. I wouldn't recommend this AC to anyone

Very convenient having the app option from my iPhone.

vibrates so bad, I literally am afraid that if I continue to use it, it's going to damage my house. Sounds just like a helicopter is hovering right over my roof. Returned.

I hate this AC, it makes a lot of noise and the air goes up and it takes a long time to cool the room a bit. I would return it but the trouble of removing it from my window is too much. I do not recommend it.

This air conditioner looks awesome and the features are awesome. However, the actual functionality (cooling) is not good. The unit takes way too long to cool a room. It doesn't actually cool. It's not not a good unit for cooling.

Does absolutely nothing! Does not cool down the room at all! Tempature is always changing on its own and it somehow always turns off! I'm stuck with it now this summer Bc I paid $75 to have it put in the window in NYC and I'm not Laing it again. Do your self a favor and do not buy this unit!!
