Air condition was brought out upside down!

A cardinal rule is to never turn an air conditioner upside down but it was wheeled out that way, when i went for pick up! Both of the employees had an attitude when i commented on it and said well it wasnt that way for long. the delivery guy could have easily out it on the dolly correctly.they also said I have 15 days to return it - sure thats after i carry it install it and all that jazz too-right! My place doesn't have electric hooked up yet so i am making this official complaint. I am commenting now since it could be more that 15 days before i get to test it. For the record i do not appreciate the attitude, lack of care of employees so the quality of the AC better make up for it. I spend a LOT of money personally and for my business from best buy but I don't have to. I waited for special order and delivery of this type of ac or i would have turned it back

Yikes! taffy, the electrical circuit limits the amount of heat that can be generated and 115 volt units (like yours) generate less heat than 208/230 units or heat pump models. Your machine will warm an area up to 350 square feet. Ensure it is turned to the correct heat setting with the fan setting on low also. I bought two of these units in July 2017. The air-conditioner side works great. Now I’m in to December and the heat side stopped working in the coldest days of the year. Now I’ll have to see how the manufacture takes care of this problem. My units are still under warranty. I was hoping these units will take care of my heating problems I have in my home. So the main purpose of purchasing these units was for the heat. If you’re buying them for heaters I suggest you don’t.

Hey Redheadedbooger, thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. It appears your air conditioner model number FFRH0822R1 would be less effective in conditions below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. The supplement heating feature of your air conditioner is not meant as a primary source of heat. During the heat mode, your fan will run continuously while heat is needed. The temperature will automatically be maintained anywhere between 55 degrees Fahrenheit and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Hope this helps! -Jennifer

Bought due to wanted heat in this old house that wasn't eye sore and not have floor heaters seemingly everywhere. 1st house I've experienced window units so figured ac/heat would
work great for both however I expected to feel warmth in rooms but didnt. Felt as if blowing cool air. I discussed with others w similar units and they stated same. Just basically used to take little chill out of air.

Before purchasing two of these window units, I was using two portable ac/heaters knowing that would be a temporary solution for the given situation.
After reading several reviews about various ac's/heat, I decided on this particular model to install in two bedrooms. Days just before making my purchase, one of my portables stopped functioning and the outside temps rose up to 90°F here in the northeast region of Florida. Yikes!
Best Buy saved the day, and shipped the two units in a more than timely fashion, so my suffering was for not long. Thank you Best Buy!
Installation was not too difficult, I was able to do it myself due to determination and sheer adrenaline. I purchased brackets to secure the units to provide an extra peace of mind.
Reasons why I chose this model:
1. Frigidaire and I think only one other company makes a fairly low amperage 115v ac with a heat pump. I've purchased other Frigidaire products in the past, all kitchen appliances and all have been excellent. I had an air conditioner that the other company that makes, it too was excellent, but that one did not have a heater. After comparing the two, Frigidaire's version offered more than the other company's version.
2. I don't like central heating and cooling systems. If the power should happen to go out, I cannot run an HVAC system off of a generator. As the old saying goes, "two is one, one is none".
3. I live in the northeast region of Florida, during the winter it get's chilly during the winter season and because a heat pump utilizes less electricity than a space heater, having units like these should keep my home warm. Sometimes, rarely do the temps go below 30°F, so the heat strip option could be utilized or space heaters. But that is very rare.
More about these units:
It's been almost a week since I installed these, so far very good. I cannot give a review about the heaters at this time because I am not going to turn those on in 90°F heat. I have one in a room that is around 11'x14' + a closet. That room is on the south side of my house, and it is nice a cool. My dog is very grateful for the new addition to the master bedroom, I can't get him out of there. :) The other room is around 12'x12' + a closet and that too has remained cool.
The economy mode works just fine and I am looking forward to saving a few bucks when my energy bill arrives. Some reviewer's have found the economy mode annoying and bypass it, I have not.
Noise levels: It's a window unit air conditioner, it will make noise but not nearly as loud as my portables were.
Humidity removal: Seems as if a sufficient amount of humidity is being removed, I have not tested the air by using a hygrometer yet.
So far, good product, happy customer and I have a happy dog. :)

Purchased Nov 2017 and it just quit cooling. Will not be buying same brand. Do not recommend. We always kept the filter changed. This was for our sons room that is about 300 square feet.
