We purchased this as a replacement unit. Assembly for side panels was a snap and it fit well into the window. Like the energy saver feature, as leaving it on full time will freeze you out! It is fairly quiet, and works well. Overall, a great unit for a great price.

I recently had my windows replaced and the air conditioner that I had would not fit in the window. My neighbor found this one and the size is perfect for the window width and height. I purchased it and this product is excellent. Cools great and not noisy at all.

To be fair I will say first that the space I bought this for is 450 square feet, and one can hardly expect a small unit like this to work well for that size of an area. However, my window was small so choices were few. Actually, considering all, this isn't bad - it does cool my place somewhat, and is relatively a quiet air condition (especially when compared to my neighbors). I would have given it a five star, but when holding your hand up to the wind being expelled from the unit when it is on, I would think it could be colder. Non-the-less, it is just a 5,000 BTU, and the fact that it actually does cool my place is remarkable. It doesn't rattle or make unnecessary noise, the remote works well, and the fan too. I suggest using it for a smaller space/room than my own (450 square ft), for which it should work very well. Not difficult to install just follow the simple directions and you'll be fine. My electricity bill did not go up much - another plus.

This air conditioner quickly cools my son's 10 x 12 room. It is not too noisy and was easy for me to lift and put into his window. Very happy with this purchase...in fact, we bought the same one last year for a different room!

This tiny AC unit is very quiet and very cold. It's energy saver is spot on, shutting down the unit when the temp you select is achieved. It can run in manual mode but be prepared to be very cold.

Bought this for our bedroom to replace a noisier older unit. Quiet enough now for a good night's rest and gets the room cold the way we like it. The remote control is an added bonus!

We bought two of these for two bedrooms, and they have both been well worth the cost. We've had record-breaking heat in Seattle this summer, and our upstairs traps a lot of heat. Now, the bedrooms are often the only cool place in the house. The controls are easy to use, and the remote is quite handy. Our daughters are toddlers, so of course they have to mess with the buttons. This was easily solved by mounting a plate of plexiglass over the controls, and using the remote exclusively. So glad we made this investment!

Though we have central air there is one bedroom that faces south and gets sun all day and it stays hot in there. We were keeping the rest of the house very cold just so that room was bearable. With.this unit the room stays cool and we can leave the air at a normal level in the rest of the house. Our first electric bill after putting in this unit went down significantly/ We are very happy this unit fulfilled our need

Pretty simple install, love the remote. Like that it has a sleep, energy saver and timer modes

So far, the unit has performed great... fits great on the window, not too big not too small. Just perfect for my mom's room. It cools the room pretty fast, especially these last few days where the temp has been 88 degrees or above. Remote control and air filter is a plus on this unit. Gave it a 4 since I've only had it for about a month. Hopefully the unit will function this great for a long time.

This unit is great for a bedroom. It is easy to install and cools quickly and quietly. Highly recommended.

Compact, fairly quiet. remote control is convenient. Best part is it fits in small windows!

Easy to install. Only negative is the furnished 'filler side panels', okay for temp use but make your own insulated side panels for long term/permanent use. It cools a 9x10 room with a lot of electronic gear very well. Nice to have the digital thermostat, keeps very close to the setting, very stable temperature. This is my second unit, the other is several years old and still works very well in a guest bedroom.

I am using this in a small bedroom and it works great to keep the room cool. I love the energy saver feature and i usually set the thermostat to 75-77 or else it gets TOO cold and I have to manually turn it off and back on, when i need it again. At 75-77, it will cool the room down, then come back on when it needs to.
