A/C is fairly easy to set up using the instruction booklet - took me about an hour or two to set everything up. This unit works fairly well - it's not the coldest but it cools down the room quickly.
Savings - I've had this for about a month and a half and my electricity bill barely went up! Very happy about that.
Noise level - surprisingly, not very loud. You can definitely hear it, but this unit can be turned on and you can still watch tv with the volume turned on only slightly louder.
Overall, very happy with my purchase, esp since I received the $20 con Edison rebate when I bought this unit.

Great AC Unit for the price

This AC unit does the basic job of getting the room cold, a few drawbacks are how it is designed with the styrofoam on the inside, also at times it gets noisy, depending on how sensitive you are to noise levels, I like white noise myself when I sleep, but for those it might bother them. It also sounds like the fan blade on the inside is rubbing against the styrofoam, but it could just be normal noise for the unit. All in all, gets the job done! (You get what you pay for these days also!)

Bought this for my teenage son's bedroom; he is at the end of the central a/c unit return so it can get hot and stuffy in his room in the summer-add a male teen to the mix-yikes!!
Since the purchase, fewer malodorous fumes. He likes the remote, the small size and the fact that it really cools off his room and it's progammable. We like the price, the size, the ease of installation, and compared to the days of yore the light weight of the unit
Good value and free delivery in a few days, It can't be beat.

Overall, the fan is pretty good, and as long as you are cooling a small area, you should be golden! The air gets mighty cold.
Install took about 5 minutes. Remote is a nice lazy treat, as is the eco-mode for energy saving. I would say that like most air conditioners, this is a little loud with a little bit of clanking. For the money, i'm happy.
To some degree, you get what you pay for. My recommendation is to go up in BTU's. If you think 5000, go 6000.

Install was super easy and I did not need help. The box was a challenge-it is not a typical box as the bottom is removable making it difficult to reuse to store during the winter. Very easy to work and the remote is VERY handy. It does a good job of keeping my very large bedroom (around 500 sq ft) cool but I am not sure how it would work on a 650 sq ft place. It is not that quiet but MUCH quieter than my neighbors AC window units. it also does not stick out the window far on the outside so it is not intrusive in that way. What I do not like is that once it gets to the cool temp, it has like a 1* balance. If I set it to 67*, when it warms to 68* it turns on and cools for about 30 seconds, then shuts off, and a minute later it is 68* again and it comes on. I am sure there is a setting somewhere to adjust that...maybe...

I got this unit for a great price as an open box item. I used it in my fairly small bedroom, maybe 150 square feet at most. Setup was fairly easy, standard for a window AC unit. The only initial disappointment was the poor disk shaped vents for directing airflow, they really don't work well at all.
It cooled the room extremely well and seemed to dehumidify well too. The remote worked well and was a nice feature, as was the digital display. The only huge problem was the noise. At first the unit was very quiet, and the general fan and compressor operation is not bad at all, but it got worse.
The first night I used the unit, it was very humid outside. Shortly after I went to bed the unit started making a horrendous pinging noise accompanied by some fizzing sputtering noises. It sounded sort of like someone was tapping the unit with a butter knife and then the unit would hiss.
This wouldn't be so much of a problem if it was constant, but it happened seemingly at random with varying volume. This made it very hard for me to sleep.
After doing some research, I found out it is part of normal operation for the unit. Most window AC units now use an impeller on the fan to kick water collected in the pan onto the condenser.
In the case of this unit, I believe it just isn't the best design for flinging water. As a result, it slaps into the water, and the water hits the condenser and then hisses as it evaporates. This process causes the noise I hated.
So, if you are going to use this unit in a slightly larger room, or somewhere you don't sleep, it may not be that big of an issue. I also think it will be less of an issue if you live somewhere less humid. The unit does cool well, I just couldn't tolerate the noise.
I returned this AC for a full refund and have switched to a comparable unit from GE. Overall I like the GE unit a bit better, and though it does throw water onto the condenser, it does it much more quietly. It sounds more like a small decorative water fountain, which is not so disrupting at night.
I will say I think this Frigidaire unit dehumidified better, but I'm not sure why this is exactly. The other nice thing about the GE vs this Frigidaire is that the cold air output vent is more adjustable, though it still doesn't really let you direct air flow to a huge extent.
If you can tolerate the noise, this is a great unit, I just couldn't stand it.
Pros: Cools well, dehumidifies well, digital display, remote, decent price even at retail.
Cons: The noise from the water slinging is horrid, air flow direction hardly adjustable.

This is a very nice A/C for a room up to 250 sq. ft. Runs smoothly and is very quiet. Installation was pretty straight forward in a double sash window. Cools the room very nicely, and the remote control lets you control nearly all the functions.

Just in time for the summer heat, this window a/c unit fills the bill. The remote control is a nice touch, especially if the installed location is not easily reached. Assembly and installation is easy (a second set of hands is very helpful).
I bought two units, one of which was defective, but the replacement was obtained with no fuss and is working fine.

Unit is easy to install and is very sturdy when secured. It cools quickly (I am using to mainly cool a room that is 12x18 but is not closed off to other parts of apartment). It still cools even though there is some air loss. I am happy with this purchase and for price does job very well. It is lighter than the older units which is a plus. And the remote is handy.

Had to assemble the side accordion the things that stop the outside air from coming in on the sides but it was easy. Unit was light compared to the same size units from 10 years ago. I was able to carry both units one in each hand with the straps they included on the box. But unit is quiet compared to those older units I slept like a baby in my man cave. The economy setting works great with my ceiling fan on low for the air to keep moving very comfortable with 84f deg outside.

We purchased the unit for our bedroom window because our bedroom is the hottest in the house. It is perfect for our needs, we sleep comfortably now and are looking forward to seeing the decreased electric bill. The remote is wonderful, once you are all taucked in you don't have to get up to make changes. The timer is really helpful too.

This little machine does a nice job cooling my small 12 x 13 bedroom. It runs fairly quietly, and the energy saver option is nice as well, to run when not in the room, keeping it from getting too warm.

This unit is SIMPLE and easy to install, cools beautifully and is very quiet. We have it in a low living room window and it does a great job cooling a 20' X 15' area even in the horrible Georgia summer heat.

At this price it seems to be the best deal out there. Works great for me; isn't too loud, chills my little room nicely and has a nice feature that shuts it down when you reach your desired temp. Glad I went with it, we'll see how it stands the test of time.

Very nice lightweight air conditioner that took 1 person to carry and install. Remote control is a great added benefit and kicks out very cold air. Front LED temperature is big enough to show the desired temperature and controls are easy to understand.
