We are emptying about a gallon and a half in 24 hrs. It is quiet. Humidity has lowered from 60%+ to around 32% with the door open to other areas of the house which are also high humidity. We would recommend this dehumidifier. Sonny, Pine, CO We really like Best Buy's option to pay off in 6 months interest free.

Made well, attractive design, fairly quiet. Works very well and with little or no noise.

This is a terrific dehumidifier. We use it in the basement during the summer, it gets a tad muggy down there. Anyhow this takes care of the problem within a few hours, honestly it really does work that fast. Easy to empty, low noise.

This dehumidifier is doing an excellent job getting the humidity out of our basement after a flood. It holds a lot of water, and shuts off when full. It tells you what the humidity level in the room is. Quiet, light weight and efficient.

This dehumidifier works great. My basement is so much less humid and there has been a decrease in mold formation. After running it on continuous mode for the first few days, I set it at 55% humidity and empty it once per day. Easy to clean too!

Does a great job of taking moisture out of the air quietly. Easy to operate and use.

works great. Reduced humidity in short period of time. Fan is a little loud even on low setting. But probably bought bigger unit than I need for the space. Really not a problem since unit is in the basement.

My dehumidifier runs well and takes out the humidity in my unfinished basement. I have it directly draining into a drain which makes it more convenient to use. I have only one complaint and that is not about the machine itself but about the delivery. It was delivered with a hole in the box and that part of the dehumidifier is scratched but since it was going into a basement, I did not really care but...not so nice on a new machine.

Read many reviews and this seemed to be one of the best overall products. We've only had it for a couple months but it's worked perfectly thus far. Maybe I wish I had bought a larger size as it needs to be emptied at least once per day but this unit/size was expensive enough. It has removed the musky smell from our basement so I suppose I am happy with the purchase provided it lasts for a long time!

My old unit was so loud, I heard it blaring throughout the entire house when it started up. I set this one up, and it immediately looked a million better. I attached a short garden hose and drip it directly into my sump pit. Punched a few buttons and it started to run. I noticed it ran long, almost never stopping. Was not sure what the numbers were indicating. Read the brief manual, all questions are answered therein. So I changed to the (louder, but still not nearly as loud as the old clunker I used to have) higher fan level, and bumped up the humidity target to 60, and now it runs less frequently. Higher fan speed is, of course, more effective, therefore it dries out quicker. When I'm spending time in the basement, I simply turn it to the lower speed, or temporarily turn it off, so it won't bother me. The air there is 20 times better than what is was. No more musty basement!

After reading reviews I decided this was the one for me. Easy to set up. Straight from the box to the basement. Have not yet hooked up drain hose but am regularly emptying reservoir. Still need to buy hose. Bought it on sale and had $30 reward money. Super low price. Ordered unit in store and had it delivered to my home. Free shipping. What more can I say. Read the reviews and decide.

I did a lot of research on dehumidifiers prior to this purchase due to previous experience with another brand. This product has exceeded expectations. Very easy to set up and works great. Much quieter than last kenmore unit that I owned and from all other reviews that I read it should last much longer.

I've never had a dehumidifier before but purchased one on recommendation of my neighbor after moving into the mountains of PA. I was honestly shocked at the results in comfort and breathing in just an hour, and even more shocked when I saw how much water was pulled from the air in that time. I chose this particular item based on reviews after thorough research and I'm so happy I did. It's a quality item, well made. I've used both direct drain to the sump and also to the bin and both work perfectly. I'm 58 years old and I did it all myself so no need to be intimidated on how to work it. It's easy and efficient, and my arthritic bones are thankful for the relief in my plan levels. It does blow warm air and it could be quieter, the drawer does give me difficulty but overall I think it's great. I bought the extended warranty for my own peace of mind based on reviews for all dehumidifier tending to quit after a year or so. I chose to buy it from Best Buy because of Geek Squad. They're always awesome.

The unit works well and takes a lot of water out of the air. It is relatively quiet so that's a bonus.

Our old dehumidifier hit the dust and was never so great. This 70 pint humidifier has no problem keeping our basement/playroom dry and comfy. Even after it flooded due to excessively heavy rains we just ran it on the continuous cycle. It is easy to program, just select your humidity level and speed or choose continuous. It has a built in timer which I use all the time and the convenient handle on the drain bucket makes draining this a snap. There is a filter which needs to be cleaned every few weeks, but that is easy and not a big deal.

Have used this 3-4 weeks now. Our old unit was not working properly and our basement was smelling like mildew and had signs of mildew. The smell decreased after a week or so. I was emptying the tank every 4-6 hours at first couple of days (mainly curious as to how much would accumulate), then hooked up a hose to for constant drainage.
