This is by far the best all refrigerator money can buy, I have it standing next to an all freezer of the same brand and I could not be happier

I have the 6 year old version of this and it has already completely failed. Repair tech actually advised to junk it rather than try to save it even though he only gets paid the initial assessment fee. Would cost $800-900 to bypass the coolant lines that run through the unit as they have sprung a leak and then he said we would likely only get a couple more years out of the other components. Can't just swap out a new unit since we have the matching set and Fridigaire changes the size of the units every few years so the old trim kits will not work with the new ones. These fridges have about an 8 year lifespan for $1700. Fridgiaire, Electrolux and kenmore elite are all the same fridge and the Whirlpool isn't any better. You would need to plan to replace both units every 6-8 years plus the trim kit---Total cost (today) around $3800 + taxes and you end up getting rid of a perfectly good freezer... so far, no problems with it at all. Lastly, you would need to reno your kitchen to make any other brand fit the space. Stay FAR, FAR away from these when you are planning your kitchen
