I love the way it looks so sharp. The controls are hidden inside the door which is great when u have a three yr old running around like curious George. Also makes my kitchen look like an expensive renovation.

We finally decided on the Frigidaire after considering the Kitchen Aid and Bosch models. Purchase price was $599 in May of 2014 on sale. This replaced a GE dishwasher which was only about 4 years old. It's much quieter than the old model it replaced, although at 51 decibels it is not the quietest model out there. Good enough for everyday life, it is still pretty darn quiet. We keep checking it to see if it is still on. The unit beams a green circle of LED light onto the floor when the cycle is finished. That wasn't spelled out anywhere online that we could tell... Like most newer efficient models, unless you choose the quick wash cycle (30 min#, you are looking at a 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hour wash cycle. So far, our dishes and glassware have come out sparkling.
If you haven't had a model with top controls in the door, I will say that this takes a little getting used to, since when the door is closed, you really cannot tell what is going on in terms of the wash cycle. Just press the "I believe button".
One thing to mention, that was not even mentioned online or in the store by the salesperson, is that Frigidaire offers a three year extended warranty for $119.90. I tincludes "replacement coverage". We found out about this after we unpacked the unit and the materials that came in the paperwork. Go to Frigidaire's website for details of that coverage. I was a little disappointed since I purchased the 2 year geek squad appliance protection since that was the only service plan choice. Sears seems to have better extended warranty coverage and terms, however Best Buy had the better total price, and we all hope that we will never have to use the insurance policy!
The three deciding factors for us with this model were the stainless smudgeproof finish on the outside #we have kids and my wife constantly complains about the fingerprints# and stainless interior tub on the inside; the extra spray rotating arm at the bottom, and the heght adjustable top rack with fold down tines. Did I mention the smudgeproof stainless finish really repels fingerprints? Yes it does! The stainless steel tub really holds the heat which helps with drying.
We were going to go with the Bosch Ascenta but after seeing the two models side by side in the store, we felt the top and bottom rack setups were better in this model. Also the new bottom spray arm feature #blue circular arm in the bottom# looked like it would spray more water. The Bosch had very closely spaced tines on the bottom rack and has several reviews complaining about loading limitations due to spacing. Also, the Bosch did not have heated dry, which is NOT a feature on most non-european models. We don't like to dry our dishes. The stainless tub and heated dry of this model takes care of the drying.
A few installation notes, since I installed this unit myself. The instructions are pretty well written, just read them a few times to be sure you understand the installation steps. Overall it took me 2 hours from unpacking to finish and I took my time. The unit is fairly lightweight and was easly brought from the SUV trunk to the kitchen by me and my wife.
The dishwasher does come with a drain hose, but not with an electric cord. For the drain hose, you will also need a brass 90 degree elbow with 3/4" to 3/8" NRT compression fitting. When hooking up the electric cord, there is very little room in the electrical junction box of this dishwasher to spin the nut on the conduit connector. If you are doing a plug in cord, recommend you do the electrical hookups first. I did not have that option since ours is hard wired without an outlet and I was constrained by electrical feed cable length.
There are two external side "gaskets" that stick to the adjacent cabinets. They go between the front opening of the dishwasher vertically along either side to seal the slight gap between the unit and the cabinets, possibly to keep steam/water from getting into your cabinets#?#. You peel and stick these after the dishwasher is installed. I had a problem right away with one of the gaskets coming unglued and crimped inside the door seal, then had a water leak onto the floor during the third run. Wound up removing the gasket.
So far, it's great. Hopefully it will deliver continued performance for the price.

Had to have a repair man out in less that a month. Filter was clogged. Should show these codes in book so I would have known to clean it. Good thing it was under warranty.

Love the sleek look and quiet operation. I like the controls being on the top of the door out of sight. The silverware rack is large, but doesn't take away a lot of space.

Remodeled the kitchen was going to reused the old dishwasher, so glad we didn't. In comparison to the old builder grade dishwasher we removed this is very quiet and washes everything I have loaded into it. I love the light that shines on the floor to indicate it's clean. All my other appliances are LG brand and this fits well in look and design. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This dishwasher looked amazing in my house and was very excited to use it, but due to the lip of my counter top being an 1/8 of an inch to low it wouldn't fit. I returned it and exchanged it with one from GE.

I love the finger print resistant surface! Huge capacity, I can put just about anything in this unit and it comes out dry and sparkling clean. The top rack height adjusts, which is great!
Multiple washing cycles, and super quite! I don't know the cycle is complete until the green light shines on the floor.

I was looking for stainless steel dishwasher and came across this one. I got a great deal on it, so I can't be too picky. The controls on top are hard to maneuver since when you close the door you can't see the controls because it's blocked by the countertop. The green light and red light that illuminates in the floor sometimes works so just have to open it the following day to make sure all dishes are dry.
