using in a bedroom during a san diego summer..cools the room as expected for the price of the unit. a little loud but can easily sleep with the unit running.

I bought this wanting to cool down my third floor in a brick home. Keep in mind my third floor has slanted ceilings and two fairly large skylights that let in sunlight all day. It wasn't unusual for it to be about 15 °F hotter on the third floor than it was outside when the temperature was hovering around the low 80s or higher. The unit doesn't cool down the entire floor by any means, but it does cool down the immediate 8-10 feet in front of it. I mean DIRECTLY in front of it. I sit about 5 feet away diagonally from the unit and have to use a fan to redirect the cold air towards me. As soon as you turn the unit off, the warm air hits me again. This is more due to the third floor being insanely hot and not well insulated, but regardless, I was expecting at least SOME cold air to stick around after turning it off. All that said, it does make a dent in the temp, usually keeping it around 90 or below. I probably should put more money into covering the skylights and better insulating the floor, but considering most of what I do on the third floor is within 10 feet of the window where this is installed, it works for now. The four settings, Low/High Fan and Low/High Cool, aren't all that useful to me. I'm either on High Cool with the Cool Dial turned all the way up, or it's not on at all. But again, that is probably more due to my third floor set up than anything else. Also, I should note that it's relatively loud. Loud enough to plainly hear it down the steps and in the second floor hallway.

Love the reset button that comes with the cord nice safety device. Its light weight & comes with a long cord no need to add a extension cord.Air directional louvers are great ( Auger wheel ) Type are easy to use & is perfect for over a bed Very little noise & the price was great compared to others I've seen. I was so surprised at the way the A/C was package it was so Easy to open & I will be able to use the same box for easy storage. This A/C was designed For a perfect fit giving it the right angle to use in the window & it comes with screws & hardware to help secure it safely to any window.I would recommend this to all my friends or anyone else reading this. I am the type of person That loves to share a good thing and to me this is one. & it was ship & arrived to my house in two days.

I bought one of these last summer and liked it so much I bought two more for this summer. I live in a three story townhouse. The first floor is always cool/cold, second floor is comfortable, third floor (where all the bedrooms are) is stifling in the summer in spite of an attic fan and lots of insulation. These air conditioners are perfect. Quiet, inexpensive to run, cool the rooms quickly, and the price is right. Highly recommend this a/c.

I bought this for my daughter's room, which is small but with high ceiling. It cools the room great and is energy efficient.

The ac is not bad for the price, feel like it's not that powerful for a 5,000 btu unit. I know it's quite low for average but the room it's in, is very small so shouldn't be an issue it gets the job done but takes some time doing so. But for the price it's pretty decent.

Works great for what we bought it for to cool a small bedroom. The only drawback is it does not have an eco-setting like some of the more expensive models.

This air conditioner keeps cold and stays cold. Very efficient in the summer months here in Florida. Cost saving and reliable.

Just as manually operated air conditioners were going the day of the dodo, along comes the Belkin WeMo that will only work with manual air conditioners, not those fancy new-fangled ones with their digital displays and their remote controls. Coupled with the WeMo, this simple air conditioner has new life. I can turn it on from the road, schedule it, tell my Amazon Echo to turn it off, and measure the energy it uses. It seems to be one of the last of its kind, but I'm glad I was able to find one.

Took a bit to install because my window sill isn't flat, but it makes my room cold and I can sleep at night without sweating my brains out.

brought this air conditioner for my son's room and its just perfect. Had it for a week and everything just fine. The only complaint is the air conditioner doesn't comes with a remote, but for $112, I got what I paid for.

Got this unit on sale online when our 10+yr unit died on us this summer. It keeps our room nice and icy cold despite the LA heat!
