Yes I know it came out in 1963, but Sean Connery was great. Great plot, and the "Spectre" characters were great too. Yep, I would recommend in a heartbeat.

From Russia With Love is one of my personal favorites among the varions James Bond films. With Sean Connery at his prime, featuring a story pulled directly from an Ian Fleming novel, the film remains one of the storied series' finest achievements. MGM continues to do fine work with their restorative work on the Bond franchise; From Russia With Love looks better than could have been expected for a film of its advanced age, while sounding thoroughly updated and exciting. The set's supplemental features are also well assembled, giving a nice historical perspective on the film's production and cultural impact. Bond fans will doubtlessly line up to purchase From Russia With Love on Blu-ray. Those viewers not familiar with the film will be treated to one of the series' best; it's a film that contains a tremendous amount of legendary material that must be seen. This exceptional Blu-ray release is highly recommended.

Sean Connery At His Absolute Best !!

As a James Bond fan from the very beginning, this is in my opinion the very best of the Bond films. Sean Connery, in my humble opinion, was and remains the true epitome of all the Bond portrayers. 007 is back in the 2nd installment of the James Bond series, this time battling a secret organization known as SPECTRE. The Russians are out to snatch a decoding device known as the Lektor, using the beautiful and ravishing Tatiana (Daniela Bianchi) to lure Bond into helping them. Bond willingly travels to meet Tatiana in Istanbul, where he must rely on his wits to escape with his life in a series of deadly encounters with the enemy. Also starring Robert Shaw, Bernard Lee as M, Lois Maxwell as Moneypenny, and the always amusing Desmond Llewelyn as Q. Worth every penny if you are a Bond fan or new to the series.

One of he best classic Bond films, From Russia With Love. This time the blu-ray comes packaged in a limited edition Best Buy-only collectible steelcase. It features artwork inside, inspired by the film's opening sequence. It comes with a free digital HD copy. The special features are all identically the same as the recent regular blu-ray release. This is simply a neat collectible for diehard fans, especially if they already own the regular version.

An actual spy story with believable gadgets

This was the 2nd Bond film and it's a straight-on spy story with the only gadget being a tricked-out briefcase which was more plausible than gadgets which followed in later films. From Russia With Love could comfortably fit in with other spy films of the Cold War era such as The Ipcress File or The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, albeit with more charm than the others, than later movies of the franchise.

Not the best Bond film, but not bad!

This was the second Bond film released, and certainly not the best, but not a bad one either! A good follow up to Dr. No, the first Bond film released! You might recognize Bond's nemesis in this one, as the Shark hunter from the Movie "Jaws". Spectre's revenge for Bond's killing of Dr. No in the first film, this one pits the Russian bad guys against the best of the British Secret Service.

Some say Goldfinger or You Only Live Twice when it comes to "best" Sean Connery Bonds, but for me, it's "From Russia With Love". Such a classic film with great Bond moments. I love how they now sell each film individually for a great price now, without having to buy some expensive collection set for one film. Must buy for Bond fans!

A classic James Bond movie with the best 007 agent - Sean Connery. Solid and a simple classic 007 movie to enjoy without the bells or whistles (gadgets). Today, Blue-Ray version. Tomorrow, 4K version.

From its iconic opening title sequence to the climactic Fort Knox caper, Goldfinger is the movie most movie fans will turn to when the name James Bond is mentioned, highlighting all that is best known about the franchise - colorful villains, grand schemes, and outlandish weaponry - before such tropes became the series' handicap.

The collectible steelbook case for this movie is amazing! Great for the Bond fan or to those who haven't purchased this movie. From Russia With Love is a classic James Bond film. It is worth the watch and watching it now brings a certain time capsule aspect looking back at how things were back then.

If you already have one of the earlier releases of FRWL on bluray, then you may not want to purchase this item. It's the exact same disc as was released in 2008. This is all about the beautiful steelbook packaging. If you do not already have this amazing 2nd bond film, then get this one!

It's a mystery, an adventure, a good nail-biter. This Bond is Bond before all the gimmicks started getting in the way and the plots started repeating themselves over and over again i.e. Goldfinger/View to a Kill. And the price on this was just right. Worth adding to my library collection.

From Russia With Love is Sean Connery's best outing as James Bond. Thrilling, romantic, with a tight script and excellent performances, it raises the bar for the franchise. The artwork for the steelbook is gorgeous and a wonderful addition to your collection.

A classical James Bond movie. Sean Connery, the Best James Bond, plays this action hero to perfection. Robert Shaw, as the Bad guy is also great in his role. Action never stops in this movie. A great movie moment.

Bought as a gift for my father because he is a huge fan of 007. I haven't seen these older ones but I have heard good thing. I also got these for $4 a piece. You can't argue that great bargain.

I am old enough to have watched all James Bond movies, this is one of the older ones. I had not seen it before, and I wanted to see the older generation Bond movies. Now I have a chance to do to the sale of these Blu-ray movies. Although I was not disappointed, it appears dated. Blu-ray version of this movie looks very good – sharp, and you can see the grains of the film. But the story almost appears to be a little corny. Character "M" did not have too many "toys" for 007 – and there were some unbelievable moments in the movie that made 007 appear almost careless. (For example, he was being followed, and he was not even aware of it.) But overall, I did not dislike it and I am planning to watch it again with friends. It does look very good on a 65 inch 4K TV with a Blu-ray upscaler
