Captures a moment in history

This release from the Stones' vault is more of a documentary than a concert. There are various scenes capturing the events of the day (Mick leaving home to go to the show, the band warming up before taking the stage) intertwined with songs from the concert. Most of the songs are incomplete and not all songs that were performed are shown. It's also unfortunate that guitars were sometimes out of tune, most notably during Satisfaction. Still, this is an insightful document of Mick Taylor's first gig with the Stones and the beginning of their classic 1969-1973 era. The movie could be better, but it's better than not having anything at all from this historic event. Thus, while Hyde Park may not be played as much as other Stones videos, it is a worthy addition to any fan's collection. Like other Stones From the Vault releases, the audio and video quality is as good as it can be given the vintage source footage. Nice stereo mix!

Its the Stones, so it has to be great. This is a great look back in time as the Stones were moving into a really amazing time in their career. Addressing the loss of Brian Jones, but also introducing Mick Taylor. Stones fan or not, this is great stuff.

Another in the series of From the Vault Rolling Stones concerts. Hyde Park is a bit short and isn't the highest sound and video quality. It is still the Stones just entering their peak period, so it is a must for any Stones fan.

It is a very interesting show as it not only has Mick Taylor's first show, but we also have a fitting tribute to Brian Jones. Plus, it's very nice to have an important show presented in the finest quality available.

Good documentary of the Stones in 1969 just as Mick Taylor was joining the group. This is not a concert film per se, but more of a documentary.
