Having attended numerous shows of the Steel Wheels Tour, you wanted to acquire live material form these shows if it was possible. And as shows go, this one is a killer! The stage was monstrous and represented a post-apocalyptic environment. Kieth Richards' guitar work on this tour was among his very best and there are some real treats in the set list including the block of "Paint it Black", "2000 Light Years from Home" and the segue into "Sympathy for the Devil". I am very pleased that the Stones have decided to release some of their old shows. Check out the Los Angeles show from the Inglewood Forum and the Hampton Colosseum show (the first pay per view rock concert) now available as well!

This is a great document after the Stones got back to touring in 1989-1990 for the Steel Wheels tour. Years before, they almost broke up because Mick didn't want to tour. But cooler heads (and dollar signs) prevailed. This is a healthier and tighter Stones production than previous tours. Just compare this to the 1975 LA Forum DVD/CD. Good song selection and the fact they were touring Steel Wheels (an underated Stones album) is a plus.

Couldn't wait to see the show when I herd they were releasing it. I got to see the Stones Urban Jungle Tour three months later when they came to Europe (Frankfurt, Germany). Brings back a lot of memories.

The film editing is a bit too quick for my taste, still it is a fresh and lively performance. Some of the guitar and keyboard solos are amazing. Lots of talent is showcased.
