The movie makes you really think about what we really feel for each other and our family members. The lines can blur. What we feel is similar and only social conventions sometimes stop people from doing certain things. Good movie otherwise and a very nice look into the past of another culture.

I recommend this movie to anyone that likes Studio Ghibli. Its fun and I really like it. As always everything about this movie is top notch.

Studio Ghibli has always been like Disney/Pixar 2 to me so of course I have to collect all of their movies, even 'Earwig and the Witch' which I was a fan of.

if you are a fan of Animated movies and great story telling any of the studio ghibli films will immediately draw you in. amazing animation with an anime feel works perfectly with a clever story and good voice acting to make this a must have for any fan of Disney.

If you like any film from the Ghibli library you are going to like this film. It has a nice story and you seem to connect with the characters.

Hayao Miyazaki doesn't get things wrong. So it's no surprise that his son would make his father proud with this movie. :D
