When I purchased the vent at Best Buy I was told there would not be a problem installing it with my Sears Pro Gas Range. I was told the vent could be reversed so that the duct could mount correctly regardless of the stove configuration. My wife & I discussed this at length (over 1 hour) with the Best Buy Salesman and were assured everything would be great. When the installer arrived he said the vent could not be reversed and that the electrical module was going to prevent the vent from mounting flush to the stove. Also, I had been previously instructed to order a part to attach the duct work to run the vent to the outside. The part was required and there was no way to install the vent without it (another expense). Our hands were tied as the granite was already installed to accept this Viking Vent. To make matters worse the installer did not use the part and instead went to Home Depot to buy an Air Conditioner vent which he taped on to the back of my Viking vent and attached the duct to that. This professional installation, for which I paid extra, left a 2 inch gap between my stove and Viking vent which makes the entire assembly look unprofessional and definitely not thought out. Now I have to find a metal company to have a trim plate (otherwise known as an oops plate) custom made to cover this gap. Very, Very disappointed with this service
